Thank you for your kind words! I completely agree with you, there's something incredibly soothing about camping in an early winter landscape. The combination of a canvas tent and woodstove must create such a cozy atmosphere. By the way, if you're ever in need of a reliable power source during your camping trips, you should check out the Segway Portable PowerStation Cube Series. It offers massive capacity, fast recharging, and versatile sockets for all your outdoor devices. Happy camping!
One of the best things I like about your videos is that you actually talk in them. I know there's some sorta stigma for bushcraft/camping tubers on talking but when EVERYONE is a silent protagonist, it's boring. So I like that you explain what you're doing or even just having a chat with us. Thank you Mike for being bold and standing apart from the crowd.
It's nice to see Jax still rummaging around in the leaves. I still remember the 1st time you revealed him to us all. Its mad to think how much time has passed since I 1st started watching your channel
I have a Great Pyrenees and a Merrema Sheep Dog. They are happy dogs, but you can forget about training them. They look at you as if to say "yeah right".
Just the perfect video to watch after a busy day at work. Lovely spot to pitch the tent Mike. Jaxx is a well behaved sidekick too. Keep up these fabulous videos. 👍
I have always wanted to live in my tent, but I'm not as prepared as Mike. But for me that's something I have been wanting to do for about two years. I'm jealous.😂😂
I'd love a list of gear used in this episode especially the tables and the tripod light and the adorable little light you kept on all night. Such a relaxing video and thank you for taking us along
Great to see you out in the hot tent again with Jaxx. I remember that wood stove in the pallet wood cabin cooking with your dad, happy days. Such a brilliant camp out as always. 👍🏻
Hey Mike, been enjoying your videos for 3-4 years now, guess what. I never found comfort in any other videos as I have with yours. Yours are so calming and soothing man. I gets me through some of my toughest days. I mean considering the fact that the world is in chaotic situation nowadays, its nice to have something peaceful to enjoy every now and then. I like to thank you for that. Keep up what you're doing mate. With love. ❤❤❤cheers
Lovely as usual. I am already planning a hot-tent week-end with a son-in-law in January (here in western Pennsylvania in the States), using my Megahorn III and a Winnerwell stove (I have the tripod model, because there is no flat land here). You have helped get me in the mood for our excursion. Thank you. Stay safe; and enjoy the forest.
Mike....you have to show what the hell you're doing with the Paracord, as you wrap up the S-hooks....🤣 I've never seen a wrap like that. Why do you do it that way? Is it easier to unwrap later? Thanks man. Love your videos almost as much as I do Jaxx digging those holes. He's hilarious!
Hat Spaß gemacht, vielen Dank dafür!! So ein Zelt habe ich auch schon lange auf meiner Wunschliste 😊, einfach gemütlich. Viele Grüße aus dem Münsterland in Deutschland.👋
My dog and I are camping in a hot tent also in northern Wisconsin on 27 November. It is right around 12° out feels like zero. Love the videos keep them up please . I watch everyone of them.
Hi Mike - I think that Jaxx and I both enjoyed your camping adventure. Looks like it was good fun. It is TA that you have your own woodland to camp in. Thank you for sharing with us. Regards, Randy at Coyote Sticks by WILEY in Arizona, USA.
Hello, and many thanks for your wonderful videos and for this one especially.😍❤️ Jaxx and you together share us the joy of peaceful life. I recommended this video and your channel to a friend of mine who might need this. Thank you very much!❤️
Great video, as usual. That stove takes me back, to when Ric Nagualero was living in his tipi for eighteen months straight in the boreal forest in Sweden and doing the Tipi Diaries videos. That Gstove is the reason for the popularity of the Winnerwell stoves now. Rick’s videos made them very sought after, and the manufacturer ran out of stock almost immediately. After almost a year the Winnerwell Nomad sroves came out-with windows, water tank, etc. Gstove finally got caught up but the Nomad stoves were really flying off the shelves by then. My 50 pound dog refuses to stay in the tent-he has his own blanket nest under a tarp outside-and he is leashed so he doesn’t run off after other animalls which include deer and elk, coyotes, the occasional wolf, foxes and so on. Have a great fall and winter.
Yes,the great Nagualero. His Marcel Marceau approach to his videos always were compensated by packing in so much content.A man, sadly no longer with us, who could rustle up elaborate meals, carve an instrument and even set up a canvas and easel at will while carrying on his back a rucksack resembling a skyscraper ? What a legend he is.Swedwoods and Alexis from Canada and of course - TA Outdoors are gifts that just keep on giving.
I've found my go to videos mike, these make the other bushcraft videos look like amateurs, I've only watched a couple and I've learnt far more than watching any of the other people's,im 64 and have lived in my van for a few years now but my next hope is to live of the land on foot when I retire if I'm still fit and healthy.😊
Ive been waiting mike and his dad ever since he has started and i love every video that gets uploaded and most of them are very helpful and i just enjoy listening to them when im at work or when im in bed before i go to sleep i have it on in the living room for the dogs and in the bedroom for me self 😂 so just like to say a big thank you to You Mike for All your time you do in putting in the videos etc as im ortistic and epileptic and have lurning difficulties and it helps me a lot thank you a gain kind regards connor
Surely got to get a bit of a toast on with the muffin. Bang it cut sides down in the same pan you fried the egg in or on any hot plate part of the stove for a minute or so and get a nice toasted crust then the egg sprinkle of salt, preferably some bacon or mushrooms and then enjoy. Well worth it for the extra taste, especially as you do it whilst doing the egg and it makes such a huge difference.
Great video as always. So cool you take Jack's with you love for my boy to come camping with me, little more naughty than Jack's!!! Looking forward to seeing how much the axe is as am looking for one!
A lot of setting up that tent and stove, for just a one ight outing, but it looks like it would be great to use once established ad for an extended camp..
As always looking forward to your videos. Will buy one of your axes when they are for sell. Being outdoors is the best stress remover and having animals as well. I have some goats and 2 horses that wonder why I am outside more than inside. However they enjoy the company. Eating, cooking and sleeping outdoors is rewarding in many ways. Thanks Again.
Great video, thanks! In a few days I'm going hot-tenting for the first time with a couple of buddies (in Canada). Having watched your video I have a better idea of how the tent and stove are set up and used.
Going to have to change the name of the channel to 'Professor Gadget Outdoors'. LOL.. Great video. Thanks. Know missed the cooler weather and the stove.
Not a bad over nighter as things go. Quite a lot of gear like you mentioned but ya don't have to go with just basics all the time either. It's nice from time to time to have a bit of luxury and creature comforts. Looks like breakfast was a bit messy but it most likely still tasted good.
Another brilliant video Mike. You have some fantastic equipment for camping and fishing. Jax is a little darling,he's so funny and cute. I will look forward to your next video. Say hello to your dad and I hope he is keeping well. 👍
Is that tent a Tardis? As you were assembling the cot I said to myself, "No way that is fitting in there!" 😂. What?! 🤯 Okay, now I know who the New "Doctor" should be! 😉
Wonderful video - teally like some of the gear. Especially the wood stove, small table and the cot. Would you be able to share where you purchases them. Jax is a star and thanks for making these videos. Always a pleasure to watch.
Ya knooooww, I have so much stuff to work on and do, BUT, I'ma go ahead and watch this, because... PRIORITIES!
Average ADHDer brai
LOL!!! Same.
I do tend to get easily sidetracked.@@gabrielneves6602
It helps give us direction in life.@@T_B
Jaxx is the star of the channel and I'm very happy to see him so prominently featured.
Of course Jack is the star! Just ask him! LoL
I'm sure you've heard it a thousand times but your videos are so relaxing. Great for de-stressing after a long day!
Thank you for your kind words! I completely agree with you, there's something incredibly soothing about camping in an early winter landscape. Yes I love watching in my bed where I have peace and quiet, doesn’t help when cooking tasty food, then my stomach starts to growl 😄
One of the best things I like about your videos is that you actually talk in them. I know there's some sorta stigma for bushcraft/camping tubers on talking but when EVERYONE is a silent protagonist, it's boring. I agree completely...
Jax as a puppy is why I'm here. 😀
It's nice to see Jax still rummaging around in the leaves. I still remember the 1st time you revealed him to us all. Its mad to think how much time has passed since I 1st started watching your channel
If there's one thing I can really appreciate it's a well trained and happy dog.
Good boy Jax. 😄
I have a Great Pyrenees and a Merrema Sheep Dog. They are happy dogs, but you can forget about training them. They look at you as if to say "yeah right".
Jack is being a good boy, he’s digging your latrine!
Just the perfect video to watch after a busy day at work. Lovely spot to pitch the tent Mike. Jaxx is a well behaved sidekick too. Keep up these fabulous videos. 👍
I couldn’t do all that set up for just a night. And love watching Jax dig his own campsite. 😊
You make setting up camp look so easy. It was nice to have a traveling companion too. You need to take Jaxx along on more camping trips.
Great to see you back out there Mike.
Best part of the video - all of it !
Thanks 😅
I have always wanted to live in my tent, but I'm not as prepared as Mike. But for me that's something I have been wanting to do for about two years. I'm jealous.😂😂
For me, thats the point. Doing something you arent prepared for is infinitely better and funner then actually preparing
In two years you can prepare to become an airline pilot. Stop thinking you want something you actually don't.
Jack's was so adorable as a puppy! Still is 😊 I really enjoyed this video 👌
Onwards and upwards dude 🙏
I think I speak for everyone when I say: More Jaxx episodes please :)
I'd love a list of gear used in this episode especially the tables and the tripod light and the adorable little light you kept on all night. Such a relaxing video and thank you for taking us along

Jaxx is so darn cute! ❤ and I love to see how well taken care of he is. You are a wonderful Daddy to Jaxx ❤
Honestly I've not clicked onto many of your videos lately, but getting back to basics.....yes, please, sign me up.
He's hilarious!
my dog liked seeing Dax she likes to see dogs on the you tube her name is Nikki and she is a standard poodle ( black)
Uber terrier that he is, I'll bet he's critter-hunting. ^_^
He sure is! He got two mice yesterday.
Can you do another pallet style 1 man cabin, only make it a 50 year cabin? 😅 love your content bro keep up the awesome videos !!
Hat Spaß gemacht, vielen Dank dafür!!

Jaxx has been listening to Wind Rose; he is a dwarf and he's digging a hole. Good boy, Jaxx.

That's about as luxurious a camp as I've seen in UA-cam
I would very much enjoy a JAXX CAM!!! JAXX IS MY HERO!!
This was a lovely relaxed one. Jax is such a good boy.
Hello Mike and Jaxx I am happy to see this video. Jaxx is so cute
Jaxx is beautiful ❤great video.Nice and peaceful camp.
I feel like you and Jeremy from Lonewolf 902 should do a video colab so Jaxx and Boomer can play together lol
Of course Jaxx looks after his daddy, so that his food-dispencer is safe and snugg and also checks on construction progress.

A lot of setting up that tent and stove, for just a one ight outing, but it looks like it would be great to use once established ad for an extended camp..
I grew up camping as a very young child in an old army surplus canvas tent with a pole in the middle. It was from WW2
Thanks for filming Mike. 😁👍🏼
Always love the big tent and seeing Jax. Long time viewer here - love the videos.

Keep up the good work bro Great video
Cheers!
Woah, I absolutely love that tent! I wish bell-tents came with that pole setup instead of the single center pole. Thanks for sharing!
You can get one like that from the Canvas Tent Shop.
It's a freaking bell tent let's gooooooo!!!!
Good idea for the S hooks and guy lines for the chimney
I really like that stove
I lived in basically the same setup for 18 months in the woods during covid...I miss it.
What temps did you have at worst? Did you move around? Was it messy with the floor?
Great watch dude love jaxx getting into bushcraft digging holes and love the bell tent set up looked cozy
Going to have to change the name of the channel to 'Professor Gadget Outdoors'. LOL.. Great video. Thanks. Know missed the cooler weather and the stove.
Nice note, what else do you like to do?

Good Job Mate! Neat gear, calming, and good for the soul . Carry on!
Not a bad over nighter as things go. Quite a lot of gear like you mentioned but ya don't have to go with just basics all the time either. It's nice from time to time to have a bit of luxury and creature comforts. Looks like breakfast was a bit messy but it most likely still tasted good.
