Hi Roger, Functionality over how it looks every time and it does the job problem solved. Very impressive roller and looks well made just the thing for a mitre saw station, as always a great video, catch you soon Take care
Another great video. I've had a couple of those trend rollers in my basket for a while (years probably). Just a thought regarding the placement: as you are likely to hardly ever make adjustments to the height (level is level) then having the control knkb facing the other direction will mean you are unlikely to catch it when walking past/moving something, etc. Just a thought 😊
This might help with the dust collection. I used it to create one for the original evolution mitre saw. It only works for square cuts, but with a Y connector to the two outlets certainly collects a fair amount of dust. A different approach, and I still get a bit of dust, but certainly much less. ua-cam.com/video/jrBaHKtz8GQ/v-deo.htmlsi=EjkW1RTE9moF9l8A

Thanks Shaun!
Great video, you could use piano hinges on the joints with the top fitted with one end with hinges and the other with velcro.
Regards Bill
Great idea Bill...never thought of that :(
It's not about aesthetics it's about functionality
Thanks Mark!
Mitre saw… function over form = perfect 😃
Thank you!

Thanks Paul I will check it out!
Function over form all day long. For Goodness sake, fellow woodworker, demonstrate the contraption in action!
Thank you!
Why does it need to be lightweight for removal? Why would you need to take it off?
Just in case I want to move the mitre saw station
