- UA-cam has a feature called “Autoplay on Home”, which helps you to easily preview different videos while you browse the Home and Subscription tab. As you scroll through your Home feed, videos will begin to play on mute with captions auto-enabled. In this video, I will show you how to disable or turn off that home screen auto play feature.

How do I turn off the preview because as I browse through videos the flashing previews are giving me a headache.

Thanks so much, that drove me nuts! I would always put my mouse up near the search bar scrolling through my recommendations. Somehow missed that setting while looking for a way to turn it off.
whenever I first open my browser, if the active tab is a YT Video it always autoplays. Is there a wat to force me to have to actually click PLAY to start? (Mozila does this native, but chrome doesnt)
I have a visual disability and I wanted to hover over the thumbnails only for the videos to start automatically playing. I'm using a desktop magnifier, so that feature is annoying.

Hi any idea hot to stop that 10 second preview - it is driving me insane because I have other videos playing previews when I'm watching a video just because I accidentally nudged the mouse. Also, when I open and play a video in a new window the video underneath is still doing this preview.
Autoplay includes video's automatically playing when you go back to your browser window, like when you restart the computer. If there's a UA-cam pane open, it just starts playing, doesn't have to be on top. THIS is what I'm trying to turn off. Autoplay is turned off everywhere, but still auto plays.
How do you stop the last video you watched from popping up at the bottom of the screen when you log back on to youtube?

Hello, few weeks ago new feature on yotube appears - after start watching movie panel settings is still active. Then you cant movie rewind with your keyboard - before you should click to screen to hide panel settings. How i can disable this?
The best thing is that this settings wasnt work for me. I have this features off and videos on my main page is plaing after my mouse cursor is on it. :/
And there is another annoying feature - when i click to watch movie then settings menu for this movie appears on bottom right corner of the movies window. Is there any option to disable this? When i start watching i somethimes like to revind movie by hitting right arrow on my keyboard. But it is imposible to revind movies with this menu. I alway then have to click my mouse on movie - then settings menu is dissapearing. Any advice? Thank you.

How do I turn off the visible ten second and next video, it's not letting me do anything I think it's a new update and I have it, I want to just watch a video with no suggestions of click the next video while in the middle of what I'm watching.
Is there a way to stop playing when you open the page in new tab? I have this problem in chromium only.
For example, in Firefox, when I right-click on a video and "open in new tab", then I click the tab, and I see the miniature, not auto-starting video as in any browser based on chromium.

Omg thank you. Older video, but this is still a "feature" and it really annoyed me. Especially on the mobile app, where it just autoplays whatever is currently on the scroll feed.
My youtube premium, when I minimize the app in the iphone it keeps an annoying box on the home screen while it plays. You can then minimize that to just have a corner arrow but I dont want ANYTHING on my home screen while the video plays like it used to be. Everything I search is telling me how to not autoplay the videos in the app or how to delete the icon. Please help

That option is not available for me -that tick box doesn't exist in my options😞 Also I don't have to hover for 10 seconds, UA-cam will just randomly open a video page as I scroll past it. Do you have a subscription?
I don't understand why there doesn't seem to be a setting to turn off preview PERIOD. no autoplaying on the screen when idle... no playing when hovering... just NO preview. It annoys me that I seem to keep running into this thing where I go to click the vid and it just runs the preview or plays the vid at some point beyond the start because the preview started
And on Prime, and on Netflix, and on Britbox, and on AcornTV, and on Paramount, and on and on and on ... and what is REALLLLLLLY annoying - especially since we just had a strike in hollywood - is the annoying practice of starting a new film, series, etc 5 seconds into the credits. Some people who work hard on videos are appreciative of showing up in the credits. And, sometimes there is a reason to watch the credits and also listen to the end music. This should be the opt in not the other way around. And as far as I can see, there aren't even ways to opt in half the time.

Sadly it doesn't work anymore. Google have removed the facility that let you turn off autoplay. I bet it's still on the premium version of UA-cam!

I really hate this feature. I have tried everything to turn this crap off!
It doesn't even matter which video it plays, it's gonna do something damaging. If it's a video you DON'T want to watch, it'll have a negative effect on your recommendations. If it's a video you DO want to watch, youtube will assume you've seen it, and won't recommend it to you anymore. You're screwed either way...
I want it completely turned off so that I can see and read the thumbnails of UA-cam videos before watching the videos.
I do it for an add free UA-cam 😏
