Thanks for this video, I accidently unmuted the hourly chime when I threw mine on the couch. It must of landed on the start/stop button. I just had to hold the start/stop button for 3 seconds to mute it. Thanks again!!! This Timex Indiglo watch has been my favorite watch for the last 15 years.

Thank you very much for this video. It helped a great deal. One issue: As I step through the process of setting time and date, I never see the day of the week. Only when I exit the time mode do I see a day. It shows Thursday. I haven't had the watch long enough to tell if the date will advance.
I noticed this too. After you hit set and mode, and then go through setting the time and then the date, it prompts you to set the year. Once you do this, as long as you have already correctly set the date, it automatically sets the day of the week for you. Hopefully this helps 👍🏼
When setting time and date mine skips the set-day part. Today is Thursday but I can’t change it, it’s showing Monday. It went from set-date day to year. Can’t change the weekday.
How do you set an hourly chime? How do you access the countdown timer? It says right on the tree or stand that it was attached to in the box that it has a countdown timer, but I can't figure out how to access it. And if it doesn't have an hourly chime, then it's just missing a very fundamental part of even having an alarm at all. If this thing doesn't have either of those features, then it's really not any better than any old McDonald's Happy Meal watch, and it sure as hell isn't worth its $35 price tag. You can buy Casio watches for ½ that amount that have those two missing features plus a few more.

Hit mode (bottom left button) until you see the alarm is flashing on the top left of the screen. Make sure the the little clock isn’t there. If it is, then click the top right button to take it off. After that, just hit mode (bottom left button) until you go back to home/time
Press the C button to remove the alarm icon and effectively end the hourly beeping. After the alarm is disabled, press D to return to the main time screen and wait for the next hour to pass. If the beeping is no longer active, the process was completed correctly. Do the same the opposite do enable it to beep every hour.
Having an AM/PM indicator goes a little further than looking out the window just to know. The indicator is actually there to help in setting the watch correctly. If there wasn't an indicator, you only have a 50% chance of setting it correctly and having the date change at midnight instead of at noon. Choose the wrong one, and your calendar is only correct 50% of the time.

They should have put the day of the week in the left hand corner. It’s too small where it is now and hard to read. Otherwise a great digital watch.
