Just got my gold Timex today. Love it and so practical for most occasions.
Great to hear!
I have had this watch for twenty years now it is my daily work watch . I work construction and this watch is an absolute tank mud snow rain and sun it lives up to the saying “Takes a licking and keeps on ticking “
Wow, great durability, thanks for sharing
30 years for mine ..6 battery replacements...
Great working Watch..
thanks for the feedback
Thanks for these clear instructions. Someone had accidentally changed mine to 24 hour time, and I didn't know how to change it back. Love the watch.
Glad it helped
Just purchased one for myself today I love the retro design it screams 1980's 👍🏻
indeed
I just got a gold one. I love it! I wish they still made the old Timex Marathon that I had in the late 70s. It looked kind of similar to this one but had a green glow all the time. You didn't need to push a button to light the screen up. It was always on. Like glow in the dark. I'd buy 3 of those if they reproduced it. Great video. Helped me understand the beep function. Thanks
thanks for watching
Very nice affordable retro looking digital watch from Timex.. better than f91w Casio
Looks better, I agree, but it's almost 3 times more expensive also.
Thanks. You were the only one so far to tell me how to set for 24 hour time. The Timex instructions were useless and, even with the numbers, the Timex site never found the model I have. I still don’t know how to set two time zones, or if one zone can be GMT.
I’ve been wearing these for over 40 years but, a 7.7 rating?, sounds like I need to try some others.
Thanks, again
FYI, this watch is a movie star. Ryan Reynolds wears it in the movie Waiting. I currently own the T78677 (gold model) and I find myself wearing mostly when going out for drinks at night with the guys. Haven’t used it in a while cos of lockdown. May this all be over soon
thanks for sharing
Nice green LCD, I like it
Hermosa pantalla ,siempre quise uno de estos , creó que empezare a buscarlo para comprarlo
Looks Ok, but just the basic functions. tha case is plastic ...
How did you get the band off after unscrewing the back plate? Mine seems un-adjustable but I need to replace the band as I have very skinny wrists.
Pins ..Push in ..
Use a working Cloth underneath it..Pin spring in ..
No timer?
you mean countdown timer?
no, just stopwatch
@@GedmisLaguna Thanks for answering.
were the buttons stiff? did you have to press hard to make them work?
its normal, yet they are pretty small
@@GedmisLaguna thank you
Toward the end, one of your panels said the selection of functions was poor. You showed info about the clock and the alarm complications, and you touched briefly on the stopwatch, but did you just forget that it also has a countdown timer? What other functions could it have had to bump it up from poor to ok, or even great set of complications?
It doesn't have a countdown timer nor 2nd time zone or world time functions. Only alarm + hourly chime and stopwatch.
@@GedmisLaguna
Yeah I'm seeing it over the past few days. I ordered one and it's missing the countdown timer, which would have been a deal breaker, had I known ahead of time that Timex has grossly oversold this watch's functions. Everything I've seen, including the retail packaging says that this watch is supposed to have a timer. You know?... That little white plastic retail stand that the watch is attached to before it goes into its box? On that stand, affixed to the front of it and at the bottom, is a sticker that states in no uncertain terms that it has an alarm, a timer, and a chrono. On the very bottom of of that sticker, is the watch's part number... T78587. That exact same number is etched into the battery cover near what would be the 6 o'clock position. Maybe it's just me, but I just think you should get a hell of a lot more watch for $35. Casio sells a few watches at the sub-$20 price point with a timer, dual alarms, Chrono, 12/24 hour display. Once you cross that $20 mark, the amount of watches begins to slowly increase, and they start adding to those features, like five alarms, dual time, etc. Then at some point they start including an EL backlight, albeit on a slower time scale. I also looked into the T78582, which is the same thing as the T78587, except it has a larger band. The exact same thing applies. All the literature stated that it has a timer, and it had the correct item number etched into the battery cover. Which leads me to wonder... Is there a watch in this range that has a timer? And why do they advertise these watches as having many functions that they don't have?
OMG I just got this watch to add to 9 Timex the oldest 55yrs. Look up the directions for this watch is a maze. Then YOUR video popped up 🥳 I thought I’d figure it out.... no such chance. After watching your vid no problems. Thank Mate !
Glad I could help!
Thank you for making this detailed video
Glad it was helpful!
I just ordered the gold one. I have pretty slim wrists. How does it fit?
It isn't a large watch should fit the slimer wrist good
@@GedmisLaguna Thanks. That's what the reviews on Amazon seem to say to so I don't think I have to worry about it not fitting good.
Bro, The reset button of my skmei watch model skm-1220 has fall off, and I lose it. Is there a way to buy a replacement that you can suggest me. Thanks in advance.
I didnt see to buy a spare parts for these skmei watches. Well its not an expensive watch, get yourself another one
@@GedmisLaguna Okay you're right. Anyway Ill leave it for my neighbors' children. 😊
i just recentely 2 days ago bought a new versio of this, as the one i had i broke the connection between the wristband and the metal but it was dmagedrigh there and lost the tiny piece in long grass at a big park. but while everytiong works. it seems like when i press the indiglo button for dark, if i am looking at the watch relatively close it seems almost like a darker shade of indiglo and it makes seems blurred (ish) up close but at certain angles it looks fine. also the regular back green light is very faint although other wise in daylight the numbers are very easy to read.
does this mean the watch i bought have a weak battery?
it could be the case
@@GedmisLaguna the case could be causing the backlight/glow to be odd like that/ hmm. is that somehting a jewlery or watch place can fix? or is it a lemon?
If the sound and chime is off, will the alarm still beep if its enabled?
alarm will sound anyway
Great effort.all doubts cleared.thanks
Happy to help
Which button do you have to push to get Day Glow?
try the lower right button
I appreciate that you gave us the battery name.
glad it was useful
Can you read this watch in the dark without pressing a button?
in total darkness no, but in twilight yes
Is there a way to resize the strap? It’s slightly loose
No. there is also version with longer bracelet.
How to open the battery case
Unscrew the back case screws
been wearing these since 2008.
is it still working ?
The band breaks and I just buy another one every time. I went with the gold one this time. Timex has even better ones on their website I just found out.
How many years of life span battery on this watch?
declered battery life 2-3 yeras
those watches are made in my Province...!
La caja es de metal o de resina cromada?
plastic coated in chrome like coating
Thanks for the help brotha

I love this watch but that resin crystal will easily scratch. I would have gladly paid a little more if they would have used, at least, a mineral crystal cover.
Agree. Btw, the case is also plastic.
@@GedmisLaguna Yes......it's like.......scratch here, scratch there, scratch everywhere.......scratch, scratch, scratch. 😒😔
Next thing you know..........its time to just leave it in your pocket because if you continue to wear it........... well......... .."They're all going laugh at you" 🥺😲😳
Thank you.
You're welcome!

I cant believe the case isn't metal :()
It was a surprise for me either
Its a cheap watch... so
디자인너무좋아같고십다~~~~앙 TT TT
Nice
too complicated, I was not able to change the time
hm, I'd say it's rather easy, use one button to select the hor/min/sec, other button to advance the value
Giveaway this...
yes, please
Who would buy this?
I guess older than 40 years men ... :)
watch tester and watch collector !
80s are back :) Nice watch
I bought it as a decent looking watch to wear at work in a hospital boiler room. I need the stop watch for routine maintenance as we have to run certain equipment for 10 or 30 minutes and perform chemical water test that requires timing after chemicals are added. Nylon and resin straps don’t last and are irritating working in a hot boiler room. Leather last longer but the frequent hand washing and the chemicals we’re exposed to degrade or discolor the leather. Metal bands are easier to keep clean and disinfect.
I would and have for years. It's been a great, inexpensive workhorse timepiece. As a theatre stage manager, having the time, an alarm, and a stopwatch handy has been invaluable. I have both the silver and gold versions. I get lots of "that's so cool/retro" from younger folks. I wear one of them all the time unless I'm really dressing up for a party. Love the watch.
