Overall, though, it's pretty difficult to argue Trump did well beyond the first 20 minutes, and even then he was just sort of weird. By the time she got to stuff like the Birther farce, he was a total wreck.

Probably the first human comunity with the concept of trade, like the guy with the big stick say "if you give me a chicken I will hit in the head all the guys who try to steal your chicken" that is also how the first policeman was borne, probably.
"Confess"? Not really though. He pays taxes, but due to deductions and write offs he just didn't have to write a check to the gov at the end of the year. Do you know how much property tax he pays for his buildings? That goes to schools and the city. All his business infrastructure pay applicable taxes up the chain, from vehicles, to gas and raw materials.
He isn't blindly giving money to big companies (like Hillary with her foundation), he is creating en environment that doesn't punish them for spending more on their US operations. He is dropping corporate tax, so a company can keep more money to spend on employees, infrastructure, pay shareholders, etc. If a major shareholder profits, they still pay income tax and capital gains. After this, he can create a bigger write off for hiring new employees and having above average salaries, and that equates to more jobs. The government doesn't and can't create jobs, it creates policies to allow it to flourish.
You can't take more from the CEOs and expect them to give more to the employees, they are greedy and have the power to manipulate their businesses to generate the most money. You can't regulate away creative sheistyness.
You need to make a situation where the owners profit but have an incentive to improve the business.
He gets it, and she has no clue. Let's Make America Greater Than Ever, is that ok with you?

I'd add that it is at the very core of journalism to seek the truth. The media is largely composed of journalists. Ergo, it is quite literally the media's job on a foundational and compositional level to seek the truth. A way to do that is fact checking. QED.

That is a separate criticism. By claiming that the media is corrupt on the basis that they are biased and therefore not presenting an accurate representation of the truth, you affirm that it is the media's job to seek the truth and display it.
By all means, discuss whether the media does the job that it is supposed to. But don't say that it isn't their job and then attack them for it anyway.
This is all to say nothing of the fact that 'the media' isn't a single entity.

If someone is a master electrician in your town or a lieutenant in the military they are referred to as such. If you master something or achieved great authority you're often given a title to show that you've such experience and will keep that title forever.

they posted this video up so soon after the debate ended, it almost feels like they were watching the debate, taking notes, and quickly through them all together so they could film this and shove it up on the net. This is truly some efficient show-running.
Colbert had to pull of his edits by 11:30. They were a bit rougher.
I didn't last long watching the debate. I heard Trump start to interrupt Hillary and knew what the rest was...I wasn't wrong.
Naaah, you actually missed out. It was a fun watch. The audience was actually straight up laughing at Trump when he said he has the better temperament for the office.

Clinton shined in the debate because she did her prep work. It also helped her immensely that Trump is so inept. I hope people who watched the debate can see, quite clearly, who deserves to be president and who doesn't.

Trends on Twitter and online should be taken with a grain of salt. Trump's alt-right folks do what they call 'brigading.' Essentially, they direct each other to go to online polls, UA-cam videos, Twitter, Facebook and try to misrepresent his support by swarming.
This is the downside of the internet. If one group wants to wage an online propaganda war, there's little to stop them. One group hitting any poll first tends to sway the result. This is why real polls don't tell you the results until after the polls close.

There's a wide difference amongst polls on the internet regarding who won. I watched the debate, and I just can't see how people would think that Trump won. Seriously, she gave calm, logical answers. He acted like a bratty child every time he said, "Wrong," or every time he interrupted the moderator or Clinton. Seriously? He couldn't even wait his turn? I even lost what he was saying at several points. I remember he talked about the Iran deal at one point, and then he somehow finagled China and North Korea into it, which has nothing to do with the Iran deal, or if it does, he didn't make it clear what that thing is. Most of what he said was just wrong, too. Just factually wrong. He generally looked tired, too. I was expecting him to be more entertaining than he was, but it was more of the same.
So, the people who say he won, why do you think so?
To understand how they think just read 1984. Some are just beyond reasoning.
He is simply more persuasive to most people. He knows how to manipulate emotions . Also his extremely simple and repetitive sound bites are very easy to retain. Having facts, figures, and actual substance alone just doesn't work.
Internet polls are full of Trolls. They aren't accurate. Even the Fox News focus group showed that Clinton easily won the debate by a large margin.
Not just polls but UA-cam comments especially. Obviously not every trump supporter on UA-cam is trolling, but it's so easy to do I'd imagine a great majority are.

Sander Kamp This is what I don't understand (and forgive me because am not an American) I heard Bernie Saunders being interviewed and I was bowled over by him. He spoke a language I understood, he came across as intelligent, sincere and with some well though out ideas for the US, so WHY was he rejected? I don't understand.
Some Americans appear to have issues with Clinton, but all I can say is, at least she came across as an educated, poised, capable adult, who knew what she was talking about. I can see the rest of the world doing business with her on a political level and she would be able to hold her own on the world stage.

Also keep in mind what everyone should realize if they've at least taken high school english and passed: Trump uses non-descriptive words (ie very, great, tremendous, etc) when asked anything of substance. These words prove he has no actual plans (other than maybe building a wall, but we all know he's delusional on that). English (or language arts) teachers will tell you that these words are only used to add emphasis to something, but you need real descriptions on each issue to show people what you plan to do. So far, I don't believe he has any clue what to do just based on his words.

Honestly, I don't like Hilary, and I hate trump. Point is I don't have a favourable view of either, but I hope at this point that most reasonable people understand that Hilary during the debates, and trump during the debates were two very different things happening at the same time.
Because on one hand you have Hilary, yes she has problems, and yes as I have said I don;t care for her, but you know that if she had stepped onto the stage with the wrong foot that she would have been criticised for it like crazy.
On the other hand you have trump, whose sheep supporters have not cared at this point about anything he has done, about his countless lies, his scam university, him suing the onion and other people over jokes, him not paying little girls that danced for him... and so on. Because in their minds they have convinced themselves that this is the man that will make the scary "others" go away, and take them back to a time that doesn't exist outside of their minds that a toxic atmosphere has made for them. He lied, and he bullshited his way out of things, and the only people that are being yelled at is "the liberal fucken media".
So, I just hoped that whatever Hilary does, that she knocks it out of the park. So what did you guys think? I hope people think she did well, because trump can't win, people can't allow the atmosphere that is inside the minds of his supporters to become real life.
Have you heard the phrase, the vocal minority are always the loudest? That's how I feel about the trump supporters. They have a lot of presence online, with their comments downvotes and all around stupidity, but the people with common sense to vote the reasonable of two evils don't waste their time bashing. Trump will not win. We will work with Hillary for 4 years until a better option comes around...

I tend to agree that I'm not a big fan of either one. However I look at both of them on the debate tonight. 1 of them was controlled and calm, had clearly prepared and thought through what she was going to say and do in order to make what she felt was the best response (Even if you don't agree with it, she clearly at least could explain her POV). The other was insane, loud, interuppting and ignorant of basic reality. I know which one of those two I'd want to hand Nukes too. At least one of them I know would give it thought before hitting the button.

We call Donald Trump, Trump and Hilary Clinton, Hilary to make a distinction between her and her husband, former president Bill Clinton, for the same reason that we used to call him "Clinton" when he was president. We don't call our current president Barrack, we call him Obama. So we do call them by their last name.
