I forgot to add one thing I hate. The brakes make this loud squeaking sound that is very annoying. We tried to address this issue with Audi and they couldn’t figure it out. It’s very annoying for this class of car. But overall the car is an absolutely amazing dream to own.
If you haven't, you could try specialist brake cleaner. You can get cans that don't require dismantling of the caliper. To help remove brake dust, car wax etc from the brake surfaces. Hard braking might also help to prevent or remove rust buildup from washing or rain
Ok here are my 5 (or more) things as a piece of advice, if you ever want run a successful YT channel. 1. find your own style, don't copy other. For exampe the intro, you try to talk like Doug DeMuro - don't. Be yourself, not a copy of someone else, because a copy will never be the original. Ever. 2. Camera work - well, it's just to shaky, not steady as it should to be. Difficult to watch without getting a headache. 3. The content. Well, all points you complain here are more or lesser nonsense. Exhaust pipe on a low price model are small like a joke, Audi hide them for a reason. 2. Trunk space, you are aware that the car is a Coupe SUV? So that's the price you pay for, lesser trunk space because the sportier rear end. Who gonna buy a coupe SUV and then complain about? There is still the full size Q7. Interior overall: Again, it's the low or mid spec. Don't expect interiour like in the high end spec models, because Audi do it again for a reason: serperate the different price tier models. Piano black trim well, it work or it doesn't for buyer. But buy a car and complain about it after is kind of nonsense. And instead of continue the trim what shall they do, mix 3 or 4 different materials? Makes no sense. Plastic inside: Well same thing as above, don't expect high end tier interior in low or mid spec models.

This is a great video! Also: totally agree about the new challenge of driving tests now. I've taught two sons to drive and am about to teach my daughter. It's really challenging to teach them to back up differently using ONLY mirrors/turning around physically just to pass the test when they have available to them cameras which give much better visibility. Ideally someone would utilize both, but still it's not second nature to ignore the wide-angle rear view on the screen when backing up. Keep up the great work!
Update on engine tick . I complained enough and they tested the high pressure fuel pump and it was bad hence the tick . Also the q8 has been at the dealer for 2 months due to 48v generator / starter failed . Message on dash “electrical system malfunction “ lucky I have extended warranty or else it is a 5k $ fix . Best part of all this is Audi does not have an updated part and the existing faulty design is on back order with no time line on sight. Very fortunate my dealer gave me a loaner A6 Note to everyone that encounters this issue have it towed to dealer right away Loads of these with 40-60k failing .and when it does if you try to drive any amount it will kill the 48v battery dead . Once this happens that part is Toast as well with a heafty price tag IMO the mild hybrid system is absolutely useless in these cars with the sub par fuel mileage. Audi should have kept it simple. Time to trade in for an SQ8 not waiting for it to happen again out of warranty .
I have an Audi Q8 Prestige and the door handles are wrapped in leather, Alcantara on the side, door trim top wrapped in leather and door trim bottom not scratchy but soft vinyl as the door top trim on your Q8. Headliner is Alcantara as well. Rear View Camera and Pre -sense buttons are full metallic finish and Hazards/Drive Select row is capacitive touch instead of push buttons on Q8 Premium/Premium +.

I always parallel park easily without even twisting my head to look back. So try using this combo to parallel park :) Best of luck

I got a 21' Q8 Prestige last week. first Audi owner after 19 yrs of BMWs. my car is spec'ed similar although the original sticker on this car was $101. which helps to address a few of your complaints. I have the "Sarder brown interior trim" which makes the headlining alcantera. What I love is this color combo is only one with grey carpet and interior replacing all the black. was trying to figure what else made price so much more...ive got some additional luxury package for 6k+ and the B&O advanced. thanks so much for your review, your attention to detail is great!
I drive the standard SQ5 and I need that extra cargo room. If I ever move up to the 8, I likely won’t care as it will have as much or maybe more cargo than the 5.
We drove all the competitors and ended up with the black Q8 Prestige. A lot had to do with the room in the back seat, the comfort and the cockpit. I'd recommend soft luggage bags for the trunk so they can compact space, but we never fill it regardless. And keep a microfiber cloth in the tiny console box, though I do prefer the black surface to even high end wood surfaces like in other cars I've had, it looks much more modern. The plastics on the lower door panel are because you hit that with your foot and it's hard to clean any soft materials like leather or alcantara there. Anyway, great video with good experience-based opinions!
Interesting to hear. I chuckled when he said to just go with a Q7 for more trunk space. I think the designers at VW/Audi were not happy to hear that! 🤣
I’m guessing you have not driven the Q8. Turning circle is large unless you get the 4 wheel steering option. The stop start can disengage the engine while stopping, leading to some jerkiness in a stop. Also, cubby storage is rather minimal, with no sunglass holder in console. All that said, these are livable gripes. The driving experience is very good! Good luck with your channel!
I would probably choose the q8, it has a lot more luxury like options that make cruising very delightful. And aswell as it just has a lot more space. The model 3 performance is nice and great for speed but it doesn’t have the luxury like options like the Audi has.
Does your q8 have an annoying tick at idle? Mine drives me nuts in fact I’m at the dealership now having winters installed And they reassure me it’s normal sounds for that engine . Great that 100k audi petrol I get comments like wow is that a diesel!!! Great videos keep up the great work!

Fake exhausts are supposed to show how sporty car is but easier stay clean plus safer than if brush leg against hot exhaust pipe. It mightn't look as powerful as it really is without the double fake exhausts so would be fake that way too 🤯. But yes it would be nice if it was genuinely looking fast but with functional parts

I agree with your assessment and recommendation about all the shiny black interior trim. There's too much that can and will get all fingerprinty. Your idea about keeping the shiny black for the screens themselves, but replacing all the rest all around both sides of the screens, across the front dash in front of the passenger, and around the area in front of the center console storage bin where the stick is, replacing all that with wood, I'd suggest a quality, non-shiny, open pore wood. It's high end, would not show any fingerprints, and it would frame out the screens, which would look better, and be easier and quicker to wipe clean. I've thought this for a while, and you are the first reviewer that has pointed this out specifically. Good call. Personally, I also think they need to add sides to the inside of the glove box, hard sides, soft cloth sides, but something. Stuff just falls out before the box is even partially full, or partially comes out, and you can't close it while driving. Very inconvenient, and makes what space there is in the glove box much less usable. There is another thing I'd change, if you ever pass on suggestions to Audi. Those nets behind the two front seats. They look sharp when nothing is in them, but add a magazine or book or pretty much anything, and it makes the back seat area look like a storage bin, it immediately detracts from an otherwise very beautiful interior. They should replace the nets with some kind of solid leather or leather look material that matches the rest of the seats, and maybe has a little stretch to it, or more likely a small collapsible, expansion ability on either side. This way it looks great either way, when full or empty, but the space can be used to keep useful things without making the back seat area look like a storage closet. My other two cents. In any case, good luck with your UA-cam ambitions. If cars are your passion, go for it. If something else is, do that. Just follow your passion, and do it well. Thumbs up for this review.
I love this car and if I had to pick something I hate it's the wood inlays in the interior. They are so fugly looking and I have no idea why they didn't just use some brushed aluminum or something.
Want to complain about fake exhausts. LMAO, this has been a thing for a little while. The brands sometimes even put fake sounds in the speakers. For example, I found out to my dismay that some brands let you completely fake the sound so you can make it louder or make it sound harsher. I don't get the point of that. Just sounds like another thing to repair...
FYI the Q8 is the Q7 same trunk length it’s literally jus shortened by a couple inches ky mother has the SQ8 she used to have a SQ7 and it’s the exact same interior length and everything jus trunk roof is smaller
If you buy a car based on a design that reduces trunk space, why b!tch about trunk space? Also, a "Q8 Premium Plus" isn't "top notch". I have the Prestige with the black alcantara headliner, and it's glorious. Then buy beige seats and b!tch about beige seats. Tell you parents to make better spec choices.
This whole comment is so bitchy….I have a 21 Q8 PP and IT IS TOP NOTCH….the only thing the Prestige has that the PP doesn’t are the soft close doors and the mileage projection on the windshield. Other than that, it looks the same.
Spend 80 grand on a car and then you can make an review. Or at least know why is stuff priced the way it it. Value of money also would not be a bad lesson to take

Mine does! Its a weird faint tick sound when it’s sitting idle. The dealership said it was a normal sound too. Lol. Glad I’m not the only one.

If you want a bigger trunk space then get the Volkswagen Atlas Cross Sport.
I trade my 2021 Q8 in I just never came to like it. I ordered a BMW 2022 X 6 so much happier.
