If you need more Jay Mohr or Kevin Pollak, you should check them out on old O&A broadcast on UA-cam. NSFW but some of the funniest chats you'll ever hear. R.I.P. Patrice.
Rewatching this after seeing it when it streamed. Jay mohr never phones it in. He just cant help being on 150% all the time. One of them most under-rated comedians/ actors ever. Love him to bits.
Top 5 KPCS episodes. I wish you guys would do a skit show of poker night at Carson's where you two play all the characters. You both are insanely talented, fast, and hilarious.
Just because you can't keep up with Jay Mohr doesn't mean he's high. It means he is smarter than you...and you can't keep up. Pollak has no problem staying with the conversation, because his mind works at lightening speed as well. Stop using your limited brainpower as an excuse to rip Jay Mohr.
People who assume that a comedian is high on drugs are ignorant of the physical high these two guys experience just from riffing with each other. Feeling your skills tested in a live setting is a rush. These two respect each other and complement each other as entertainers. They share many of the same knowledges and passions. Just imagine the rush you'd get being either of these guys in this video.
@@shamusbob7969 are you aware that jay can do a perfect Chris penn impression? He can do his reservoir dogs like PERFECTLY. That being said. Jay seems like he’s relapsed in these videos. This 4 years ago. He has since admitted. He did relapse but to be fair his wife he loved turned out to be a complete and total psycho like his first.
I think he was relapsed here but I don’t care. Jay Mohr is comedy gold. Here, back then, now. He’s just a funny fuck no matter what’s going on his life personally.
By FAR, the best KPCS I've ever seen... and it's not even close. Mohr, who just has the kind of face that makes people think, "He's a dick", isn't a dick at all. He is, however, one of the most talented guys this show has ever seen.
Jay really adds dimension to things...He's an absolute comic genius and a brilliant student of life and philosophy as well as history... In his podcast with Colin Quinn, they discuss some deep U.S history...Jay is in the zone and on his A game in this show!
Goddamn you Kevin, I don't know how many times I can say this is my favorite chat show episode, but at least as far as comedic quality time spent this JJ Mohr episode and the Will Sasso have the biggest laughs! Also loved when you joined the gang on Opie and Anthony. I'm years into the future now so I'm sure this will be seen by no one, but what the hell!
For anyone who needs to know. Jay after his first marriage tried so hard to make his 2nd work. He found religion. He devoted to having a child. He made sure to let his wife do shit like write one of his specials. She ended up being a psycho and trying to ruin his life cuz his career was doing better than hers. They ended up divorcing. This video is showing how jay chose having some booze to try and cope as opposed to leave his wife. If you listened to opie and Anthony he was the most loyal person in the world if you loved him back. I imagine this woman betrayed him enough to push him to the edge. Poor jay.

that's where I live.....It's rare to hear them. Colling made a joke about Anthony and Jill nicoleaky , saying Anthony and her rented a paddle boat on lake hopatcong when Anthony was out on a date with her. Lol
Jay Mohr's Norm, Colin Quinn, and Harvey Keitel are my favorites. They are ridiculously spot on, and he's able to riff and make up his own stand up material as Norm and Quinn in their style. He's hilarious on O&A. I haven't seen too much of his standup though.
He’s since gotten sober, and I’m sure he’s bent out of his mind here, but he’s still funny as hell! The Bad Lieutenant scene (15:15), a genius Colin Quinn at 39:34, Ray Liotta/Chris Sarandon (53:55), Norm McDonald is summoned at 57:10 Subtlest moment - 35:06, barely audible, “You’re hard, right?”
The ONLY time I didn't like Jay Mohr was when other comedians shit on him for stealing a few jokes in the past, but on his own merit, I think he's hilarious and really likable.
I've always maintained it's actually perfectly fine and reasonable to turn down the radio in the car when you're looking for a particular unfamiliar address, something like that. Ya, Jay is seriously talented, his impressions are epic, he’s from Jersey, I saw him at Rascals Comedy, but I heard Bert Kriesher tell that story w him in it
I don't really need to change my mind, you can still enjoy him without my opinion interfering. I typically would rather listen to Louis, Jim Jeffries, Patrice on O&A among others. I am very familiar with all his work since renting Suicide Kings back in the day. I don't hate him, just not a "huge" fan of his stand up. His podcast with the right guest is great and on classic O&A he is great. Unhinged and slightly anxious Jay was wonderful. For those wondering, he and Kevin do a "Walken-off" on O&A.
