I agree with all of this. I've debated on going to nursing school, but decided to finally take the leap and apply. Prior to it, I studied up on things I thought I would have to know. I didn't, but it got me into the mindset of studying. I'm planning to take my entrance exam in a few weeks. I'm nervous, but motivated.
I've worked alongside nurses and asked them if school was difficult. Most said that it wasn't and it's what you make it. Others said it was, but only because they didn't manage their time well.
Some expect to spend every waking moment studying, but, from what I know of it, it all depends. Some study 32 hours a week, while others study 17 hours a week.
This next part may be controversial, but it's true. If you feel like you're not smart enough, or don't have what it takes to be a nurse, just look at nurses - some of them are not that bright. It can get to the pont to where, if you're around them as much as I have been, you ask yourself, "How did you even make it through school?" So, I often use that as a thing to motivate myself: if they can do it then so can I.

This is both insulting and true. I myself have thought this many times. I have even met people who didn't speak proper English and still made It.

Ngl I’m tired of seeing so many people stating how insanely difficult nursing school is. I find it’s turning into a bit of fear mongering (maybe unintentional) on forums, for example. I’m a BSN student and although it is busy, I wouldn’t say it’s this huge impossible climb. Manage your time, stay organized and save room for fun or else you will burn out. University isn’t supposed to be easy, no matter the program, but if you put things into perspective it’s not as bad as many make it out to be.

Damn this was highly motivational and cool asf haha esp at the end when he said "done" , but yeah in my third week of nursing school worried if I'm even gonna pass. It's tough, it's not just the work that's hard, it's adjusting to the new lifestyle you have to have, creating a new mindset, and learning to navigate throughout a whole new program. You definitely can't quit something just cause it's different and hard, life is all about coming out of your comfort zone and nursing school is doing that all right.

Still a 4th year nursing student. Supposed to be a graduate but I stopped for 1 sem. I feel like I need to breath. I traveled to other cities then to a foreign country and stayed there for at least 5 months. All I did was heal my self from a lot of stress because whenever there's a scheduled duty I can't really break down infront of the C.I's or even the patient. Panic attacks about what if I make mistakes causing my C.I to loss his license or the patient to loss his life really makes me stressed. That's why I took a break. Being in this field made me realize that saving the patients is indeed a priority but still it is important to take a break and look after your mental health because how can I even save my patients if I can't even help myself? Now, I'm on track and I hope I can make it in God's perfect time 😊

What’s scary is I want to do good in school because in a few months it will be my job to keep someone alive. If that’s not scary, idk what is. I want to do an amazing job at being a nurse. I want to provide the best care. Anyways, I graduate in 10 months! I hope to work in NICU but will probably end up in ICU

The homeless in many states probably from Florida + other nursing schools/highway robbery. Please no one attend ICHS international college of health sciences in Boynton Beach (acen accredited). 90% student body are from California and unaware of battles & scheming that awaits. Spread The Word. 100s don't pass exit exam each semester and held there much longer than anticipated. "Contracts" change every semester. With that $$ you can move to any state's community college!! Where goes all the money ICHS?? Barely a campus. Little clinical site availability. Students pay proctor most exam. On campus testing is another nightmare. Exams questions completely random and each is at least 30-45% grade. Staff are 'fired' and rehired rotating positions constantly. Staff death from overdoses and fired for sexual favor 'rumors'. Unable to reach staff by phone, email, or in-person and so many LIES. Family&friend-run business racket. Somehow does DeSantis benefit?!

As l posted you need to master critical thinking and reading skills and have good math skills. Nursing like most accredited allied healthcare schools are competitive. They also want your money. Not to say that you can't pass nursing school or allied healthcare schools. You have to put in a lot of effort discipline and to able to learn on your own. A nursing instructor is not going to hold your hand . Most are power points lectures and clinical skills. If you don't comprehend the material you won't pass nursing school

People who say things like that are wildly uninformed. Med school + residency can take 11+ years if starting undergrad…
Nursing school can be two years, 4 years, 15 months depending on degree and prior qualification’s etc
