Instead i get to watch someone else do it throughout the day, when I'm on break at work, on the toilet in my house, or laying in your moms bedroom. So yes, I feel privileged. Is that the incorrect word? Maybe, I dont know. But that's how I feel.
It could have been a cool level, if the sections would have been shorter and if you would have gotten a checkpoint after each of these shorter sections.
Its really interesting. Most terrible levels are just made by bad level designers who don't know what they're doing, but this upside down level was honestly super creative and interesting! It was just soooo long! Split it up in to three checkpoints and make the longest section way shorter, and you have a pretty solid level there. The way it is right now it just looks soooo tedious!
That clear condition makes me think the level was kinda different at first. They probably found out you could tank shots with the shells on the bossfight, making it way easier. So they put the clear condition in, and, well, there you have it. They still had to clear it though... Who wants to willingly do that to themselves. Maybe they're in the content train too haha. I could not do this even if I got paid, it looks soul draining, kudos to Ryu...

Add checkpoints, make it not upside down (There are some good uses of the upside down gimmick - mostly simulating gravity reversals via pipes - this isn't one of them), shrink it down a lot, and possibly compensate for the shelmets (likely the reason the level has the clear condition) by using something other than buzzy beetle shells for the boss fight, and it's a reasonable level. As is, this is basically an anti-Carl level - Carl's levels typically take awful concepts and execute them in ways that are... If not fun, then at least enjoyable to watch people suffer through. They're the best possible implementations of cursed ideas. This takes a cool concept and executes it in a way that doesn't even generate schadenfreude when watching someone play through it, it's just... Sad to watch Ryu suffer whatever that was. The worst possible implementation of a good idea.

I can tell you exactly why that nightmarish level had a mostly pointless clear condition: Solely so that the creator could say, "Sorry, I woulda included a checkpoint, but... ya know... clear condition." A shame, since no checkpoint turned what could've been an interesting and creative level into a miserable piece of garbage that no sane person would find fun.
I have watched literally every Ryukahr/Ryu/Schlongs upload and I can say for certain that this is the most diabolically punishing level I’ve ever seen in Mario Maker. I initially thought this was tied for first place with the 3x Bowser RNG spike/donut survival cage stage, but the clear condition and tight timer put this one over the edge...
While the level is a whole lotta tedious and having to do the whole level again if you fail the boss fight... i'm not sure it beats how bad that one Lakitu spiny throwing hell level was. Although it's certainly up there.
Some combination of - Checkpoints, not upside down, the timer being the max 500 seconds rather than the 400 the creator deliberately set it at, the boss fight not being as RNG heavy (removing the cannon balls I think would improve that a lot? You'd still have the Bowser fire element but with either a checkpoint immediately prior or an extra 100 seconds to make the timer less tight I don't think that would be awful)
I always feel the that no hit clear condition is so misused. Like it’s always the levels that don’t give you a singe power up or the ones that give you a power up and no way to lose it. Ex, don’t collect the power up but the end is just a one block hole
The sequence of level titles is great: Isolation Heals the Mind, L'ascenseur Insense (The Crazy Elevator), ..not sure what the 3rd level is called, The Crazy Castle--Definitely levels to mess with your head 😁

"Ascenseur" means "elevator" and "Insensé" kinda means "senseless" (but with an extra "absurd" punch, so like, bordering on "insane"). "Insensé" is also derivated from the word "sens" which means "direction", so there's some wordplay here : the elevator is upside-down because it's insensé - its direction is all weird. Perhaps the level creator made his level in a normal way, came up with the wordplay and THEN decided he would make it upside-down (^:

The worst part about upside down levels is that when you get to the next level, you've gotten used to it being upside down. so now it being right way up feels wrong.
That second level is the perfect example of someone who is actually very creative and has the ability to design cool and interesting levels, but thinks that that means making the player suffer as much as possible...
This level reminded me of that one level where you had to count all the coins that appeared on the screen, while the room was almost fully dark and there was a lot of Bowser fire. Really creative idea but tedious and annoying execution
You can beat expert no skip Ryu , I know that you wouldn’t be trying it if you didn’t know it too, I’ve been watching you for five years since the very beginning and you will be the first to beat this challenge and I promise after you do you will go +1,000,000 subs
I literally smelled something bad while watching this and thought, “wow, this game really does stink.” Only to find out my dog kept fluffing…but still now when I see this game all I can smell is my dogs fart
Chaos grant me the serenity to question the things I cannot see.. the desire to experience enlightenment and the ability to defeat Bowser and his minions once and for all.
Here's my theory for that abomination: creator thought of that cart concept and played around with it until they realize it is too slow to be fun, but instead of giving up they decided to maximize the garbage, even writing FUN at the start and making it upside down after they saw the new levels of garbage they achieved. It made me curious to see their other levels, they might be good at level design and were just using their powers for evil.
Man, out of all the levels I've seen you play, I think that elevator level has got to be the worst, just from it being a 400 second speed run. I feel like this is easier than the 12 mid airs, but at least that you weren't up against a tight timer as far as I remember. I applaud your dedication to the channel. If I were you, I would have put in PTO and turned it off.

Always such a shame to see what would be a wonderful and creative level just ruined by being made tedious. I imagine the clear condition is just so you dont dmg boost back to the top of the boss battle but stopping that just isn't worth losing checkpoints and even then they still have to make it down each time so it's not free anyway.
