- On Tuesday, the Supreme Court heard arguments on how the Justice Department used a law enacted by Congress against the January 6 insurrectionists.
If the Justices decide to toss out the charge, it could legally impact the rioters involved in the attack on the U.S. Capitol.
During today's hearing, Justice Brett Kavanaugh questioned why the DOJ charged some January 6 rioters with obstructing an official proceeding, which could carry more prison time.
The Nation's Justice Correspondent, Elie Mystal, spoke with Roland Martin about how the law Congress enacted 20 years ago in response to the Enron accounting scandal is being used on the MAGA rioters.
