I hope you enjoy watching this video on how to make these wonderful vol au vents and the various ideas for fillings. Tell me what your favourite is in the comments below. Or even just say hello and say what country you are from. Or if you are from Ireland what County. I love hearing from you all. Have a nice week. From Sharon
Oh my goodness these are perfection! The pastry puffed up so nicely and all the fillings look great. This is a work of art on a plate. I love chicken so I would like to see that later. Thanks
Sharon, these look great and didn't know how easy they were to do. Quick question though and maybe I missed it, how long does the pastry go in the over for or does that depend on the size of the vol au vents? Thanks.
Thanks for asking that question Mark. You put them in the oven for 15 - 20 minutes on Gas 7 / 220°C The size wouldn't make too much difference on the time. They taste so nice. It depends more on the make of pastry. Some pastry brands can take a bit longer than others. But it will be about the 15 - 20 minutes. Enjoy making them. Sharon
