    I’m convince you have a crystal ball to create content we need at the exact moment we are looking for it. You don’t have golden nuggets, you are a golden goose ✨

    What I often say to people who are discouraged by the numbers is, "Creating content on UA-cam (or other platforms) is exactly the same as going to the gym to get fit!" One video = one session at the gym. You know that you won't lose weight or gain muscle after one or two sessions. Similarly, you shouldn't be discouraged because your first videos only get 20 views. Gaining muscle or losing weight will only happen if you show up consistently and over a long period. Spending 5 hours a day at the gym for a whole week won't help if you then stop. Similarly, going 5 years to the gym, but only once a month, won't help either. Also, you should be able to analyze (or find someone who can) the things you're doing wrongly and help you correct them. Rational pace + consistency over time + judicious feedback/self-improvement = success (and this is applicable to many different things in life!)

    Bulk filming changed the game for me honestly. As someone with adhd.. i can film several videos when im feeling it, edit on a schedule (the lesser evil for me lol) and schedule them out for a month. I only have to feel inspired to film a few times a month max.

    I have ADHD and suck at putting plans in place 😄 I have a “plan” be be consistent starting in May. I was so confident after uploading and setting ONE video that will go up May 1st and my brain said “I bet I can do a video everyday in May.” I’m happy May is far away that I realize that’s crazy! I’m filing video #2 today that will come out a week after the 1st lol.

    I NEEDED THIS VIDEO. I can stick to a streaming schedule, but my UA-cam schedule is nonexistent. I've been trying to snap out of it for years, but I haven't found a system that works for me.
    What usually gets in my way is my work schedule and doing content creation for my day job, by the time I get to my own content, my energy is spent. At this point I've considered outsourcing.

    Thank you so much for this video! Lately I've been trying to figure out some formats that I could use in my videos. You're so right when saying that formats actually help with content creation. Before I didn't have formats and it was very difficult to even start because there were too many options. Sounds weird, but it's true!

    I really love how organized this all is. I struggle to start and finish product, and production. Making a business plan is dreadful.I literally cannot make myself do anythint creative, it sucks the joy out. I do not enjoy forcing myself to paint or film. I can try for about a week but I lose care or will to do it. I have auhd and cptsd so maybe thats the reason I just cant care. What do you do to stay on track filming? How do you motivate at all?

    Currently in Miami for my birthday and planning to get content today that I’m SO excited for… but my biggest hurdle has been relying on weak wifi to upload my vids to the cloud. It seems like every time I go on a trip, my phone storage decides to be full and it really makes my content creation process a lot harder 😔 been trying everything I can think of to be prepared before I go and then problem solve on the go, but this same problem keeps coming up. If anyone has experienced something similar and has a solution, I would love to hear ❤️ thx Katie for YOUR consistency externally motivating us 🥰

    • @RoseaCreates
      @RoseaCreates 7 місяців тому +1

      You can get an SSD to remove your files and free up room while on your trip(this should be done regularly) from your phones storage folders. The price has come down considerably for nvme and fast data compatible cables. Having your content in a different location than the cloud can save you money longterm. Your RAM is likely to bog on any device handling massive files. Wifi chips and data transfer are better inside of computers generally speaking, than inside phones.

    Thank you for your advice, it makes it soo hard when you have a full-time job and a family. I think I need to do is set 1 hr a day and a few more on my days off. I just need to be more motivated and have more ideas. Most of my ideas come up when I wake up or I'm out and about doing stuff, and then I forget, lol. Ughh it's not easy.

  • @hollycvlogs

    Coming up with ideas is the hardest part for me. The second issue is filming enough content. I just did a trip to a tulip festival. I shared the festival and cute place nearby to stop for lunch. When I went to put together the video, I didn't have enough usable footage to make a video longer than a couple of minutes.

    Such a valuable video as always Katie! I’m curious - do you have a playlist in Epidemic Sound of the music you use? Or tips for finding good background music for videos? I cannot stand my accent and I absolutely hate my face on video. I have tried time and time again to work against that and ignore how weird my mouth looks, how terrible my lower jaw is, but when it comes to editing and subsequently posting, I just can’t. I have so much to say and show, yet I cannot do that because I can’t get past the fact that I don’t look and sound the way I want to.

      So many of us can relate to what you say but I try to overcome this by filming further away so not really up close. Also you know what .. I think doing lots of self care and self acceptance work is really important so you and all of us can follow our dreams. We only get one life so let’s be bold, take the reins take control. Not all of us love our accents (mind in New Zealand and when I hear it back I hear all the ‘New Zild-ness’ in my pronunciation 😅 and here’s the most important tip! We don’t always have to have the courage first to take the action.. we can force ourselves to put one foot in front of the other - film the video, upload.. then do it again. This way we end up getting that ‘courageous’ feeling afterwards. If you want to make videos do it ! ❤ you’ll attract your tribe and they’ll support you xx now let’s go out there and get our best lives 🎉❤xx
