Just having a proper conversation with him, you'll know how intensely Intelligent as well as open minded he is and that translates to his music. Jesse had been a major problem for quite a while now and I appreciate that you did a very great job with breaking this joint down and understanding the context from a Nigerian perspective. The rhyming scheme was off the hook too. Meanwhile, there's someone I think you should look for. His name is Mistabooks. Dude sounds so Eastcoast and he's from Nigeria too. Bless
You're so right about Jesse Jags being a problem. In fact, he's a huge problem but unfortunately he's been slept on for so long and doesn't get the recognition he deserves.
Jesse Jags is one rapper I expected to "BLOW BIG",he is talented, creative, technical and too original (i prefer his rap style to his elder brother MI). Respect Jags✊. Much respect to you Steve
Your analysis are always top notch and spot on, ur opinion are valid, and funny enough u made me realise that jazzy jags is the most prolific and technically gifted rapper from Nigeria, I use to think that was mi abaga but watching all ur videos and analysis I think jesse jags is technically more prolific, just like Nas is technically better than Jay z but Jay z is Greater , Mi abaga is Greater than jesse jags but jesse is better, pls make sure u play jesse jags song titled Jargo, its one of his best , it has that ur "RaRa energy, bars, cadence, flow, rhymes etc,pls include it,thanks
MI is heavily marketable, he chose that path with MI2 & Chairman, got the biz side on lock for a while then switched up on the market when he returned with IM3 onwards, it was a strategy that worked for him. Now M's got a cult following anytime anyday, be it commercial wise or proper hip hop heads. But Jagz lost out on that blueprint, and it seems he doesn't care 'bout that... ✌🏽
@@JudetheHighlyExalted Guy I love your comment you have been following M... I am part of his cult oh😂 Damn that guy has got me locked Are you a tribes man (Judah)?
I actually like this song very much and I'm glad you enjoyed it too. Your breakdown of the flow before it even kicked off is one of the reasons your reaction channel is probably the best on this platform. You do know your stuff and it's refreshing for some of us because we learn a lot, not just listen to what we want to hear. And Jesse Jagz is a real monster on the track. His multiple talents might be his blessing and his curse. About the one week per artist, I think it's a double-edged sword. If you ask me, statistically so far, I'm sure you will do wayyy better with Nigerian, or African, music because it seems a bulk of your fan base are from here. The problem is when you do an artiste many are not interested in. On a personal level though, I'd like to appeal to the fans too to try and support other artistes reacted to. I've found a few gems on this page. By the way, here's a good time to make a special request for a Sa-Roc week soon. I mean, it might not get many votes so you might need to veto this. You and I both know we need a week's blessing of that genius, and maybe others might buy in too. Otherwise, just do a "Black Renaissance" reaction. I'll take that. I know it's not easy to keep this going so I'll just encourage you to take things easy and try to get your own pace. When people enjoy stuff too much, they try to turn you into a machine churning out constant excitement. You need your breaks, bro. Thank you for the work you put in. On to the next one. Let's goooo! #GSGang
This is like a movie, just like you said bout story telling tracks, what's the need to listen to em again, but he did something with this one, the whole work brings you back to it again.
Steve...... Again you were on point with your reactions as well as review....... You are doing a great job...... You should keep it in mind that MI and Jezzy are not just educated but learned as well.....
Nice reaction as always Steve! I just gotta ask you something. You know you'll be reacting to all Nigerian music if you continue with the poll format right? 😂 Coz NAIJA no dey carry last!! #GSGang 🔥🔥🔥
Jagz is the greatest. His style is completely unique. Please check out The Case, Summertime, Sex and scotch, 3rd world war, Nobody test me, Suite 99, The Search, Overkillin, Murda dem, High life, The window, Pedal to the floor and Africa. Pure fire!!!
Yea! Steve is a Nigerian gangster 😁 You were dope as well as the artist. What I like about your channel is educative part of it. You school me in. Love your format too. Think it's cool. #GSgang
Nice and dope reaction ... I think this style of dedicating a week to an artist , is a good one .. we here for all vibes, and cruise... Please react to Jesse jagz the greatest ✊🏿
Jargo(Jesse Jagz), technically, has always been the better rapper to M. Even M acknowledged this. I've always loved the guy. His music intelligence is at a supreme level(he has tons of production credits). Hope he did more, but glad he did at all. Cheers Jesse.
I’ve never been a Jesse Jagz fan and I hesitated to watch this but for some reason I enjoy listen to his songs more with you breaking it down, Now will I ever have Jesse Jagz on a playlist, probably not, but let’s see what songs you review this week 🤷🏾♂️
I think you should be doing the tracks as the viewers are asking. For example some of us have been waiting for the continuation of Illegal music reaction but it's not coming, you have fans of different artistes here and most of them are waiting to see you react. So I think you and your quality team can work out a timetable for the most popular artistes on the channel. #GSGang
You're reaction is always educational and fun at the same time. You do it without racial bias and I love that part the most. You could be exploiting though, but keep going, we're watching.
Personally, I am a fan of storytelling raps. Some of my best rappers are storytellers. However, I agree that sometimes the storytellers sacrifice the flow and scheme for the sake of the story. They force lines. What I like about this song is how Jagz used the first verse to tell a story of the 'wannabe' Nigerian Gangsta, used the second verse to highlight the OG Nigerian Gangstas that the Wannabe wants to live like, and then used the last verse to highlight what makes the people in the second verse true Nigerian Gangstas and what the character in the story is doing wrong. It wasn't storytelling for storytelling sake, but he tied it up neatly.
I'm back here when Steve said he hopes he gets the opportunity to interview Jesse Jagz. Check 15:56 Now that came full circle. 😊
You're a legend ! I'm working all day any chance you can clip it and tweet it to me. Like a solid 15 seconds leading up to it
@@SteveBussaGS I gat you ma guy (in your voice)😁
😤😤🙌🙌 appreciate you! What reaction you want for finding this!? Tweet it to me with the clip I'll add it to the list directly
Coming back to this reaction after the interview 😂😂
"See even Jagz doesn't mess with me, and Jagz is the greatest." - MI Abaga.
"Rapping in front of the mirror, the reflection is Jesse jagz" - Boogey.
Where is the line from again?
