The whole crew who who started Chocolate city including MI, Jesse Jagz and Ice prince revolutionized hip hop in Nigeria and Africa back in the day, no one could stand up to them. They gave African rappers the confidence and exposure they all have today. You really need to look into these 3 rappers properly. As usual your review was amazing, made me love Jesse Jagz even more.
Jesse Jagz was considered a rogue artist when he released this album. It was released more as an underground album from an independent. Naija has been bias with the commercial success of M.I and slept on this maestro.. by far my favourite Nigerian rapper
There’s a reason why a lot of people sleep on Jesse Jags. He only makes conscious music and you have to be at a certain level in your mental evolution to understand and appreciate how deep the man is!
His imaginative ability and the images he creates in videos are second to none. Same with his ‘overkilling’ video. The dude is simply conscious. I love you it when you understand the concept of one’s sound and relate 70% on the messages not regarding language and message backgrounds you may be having.
This song was just a display of Jesse jagz versatility. This was the 2nd song he dropped after parting ways with chocolate City. A very conscious song too. It was in his Jagz nation volume one album.
