  • Hey Everyone,
This is just a brief video on the ammo manufacturer and types I have used in my Alien thus far. I am also pleased to report I have had no malfunctions to date using any of the types or brands I mention in this video for 400rds.
Thanks for watching and stay tuned for my range review!

I’ve run 115,124, and 147 . Usually had better scores with the 147 but not by much.

Cool - I train a lot with S&B 124 FMJ - Czech pistols seems to like it

Yeah, 124gr seems to be the most popular to use in the Alien.

Yeah, mine likes S&B 124... I have some Ruag 124 fmj that often fails to feed. Haven't tried anything else yet.

My threaded barrel version did not come with another recoil spring.

Curious your thoughts on how many rounds we can put through them before a cleaning is necessary. Don’t want to be in the middle of a match and have a failure. Also, with irons what division you think we can compete in? I assume with optic it’s in open.

I took a class last June, and fired 1000rds without cleaning the pistol over two days. I had no issues at all during that time. For USPSA, you can compete in Limited with irons, for IDPA, you can compete in SSP and ESP. For CO, IDPA does allow the Alien, mine was approved at the State match for CO.

Do you think using the lighter recoil spring for 124gr S&B would be ok? The lighter recoil spring feeds 140gr S&B subsonic ammo well, although I ran through some problems using the standard spring for the same load.

Did the light spring good for 124 grain sir?

I haven't really needed it for 124gr, it works great with stock spring, maybe with a heavier load like a 147gr.

Is it possible to get a lighter recoil spring with "Alien Small Part Kit" ?

I am actually not sure, they haven't been available in the States yet.
