    Looked like there was a layer of very lite weight plastic under the upper seat cover it may have been the remains of a vacuumed bag. Upholstery guys use a thin plastic bag attached to a vacuum to compress foam making it easier to get the upholstery pulled on. Sailrite sells it I think.

      That makes sense. When I took it apart, the remains of that bag were up at the headrest part of the cushion.

    I think it will be harder to do it with the seat still in the Jeep because room, bending over for long periods and harder to see what you are working against.

      I think it would be harder for sure, but it can be done. Knowing that it's all velcro makes it a bit easier. The 03-06, not so much.

    How long would you estimate it takes to do this?

      @@fanof308 if you aren't fighting a broken frame and knowing the process after, I would say you could have in done in less than an hour. If you're dealing with what I had, plus a seat heater, a couple of hours of you're taking your time.
