I remember being pleasantly surprised when a therapist on "Rick and Morty" was actually observant, eloquent, and genuinely helpful. Because it's so rare to see that portrayed in media!
The thing with a vicious dog, is it is NOT the responsibility of a third party to control her vicious child-killer. It is totally the mean neighbor's responsibility to control her dangerous dog.
Heck even our goober of a pit bull I still get her in a lil harness and 2 different leashes if I'm taking her out somewhere. Just to let folks know I got her if they're scared of pit bulls. But that's more just because of bad owners making the breed look bad.
I kind of agree with you ngl but I didn't like that she killed the dog. It doesn't have the same morals as humans so I considered it innocent and the owner was kind of irresponsible but I still felt a bit bad for her. The boy tho...nah. I was cheering Megan on.😅
This was one of the few horror movies I’ve seen in a long time that lived up to the hype. It worked for me because of the slow burn and the fact that it wasn’t overly gory, plus the growing relationship between Cady and Gemma was a solid foundation. And of course M3GAN herself freaked me out.
24:17 That made me laugh in the cinemas too cause that was not a heartwarming story at allllll LMAO, then the random singing ALSO, the bad detective chewing his gum??
I feel so seen and heard about the reaction to Gemma and her collectibles! Feel like that therapist was probably a M3gan victim in an original draft but just kinda was a "Im still in this movie" kinda character. I always lose it when M3gan is playing Toy Soldier as well. Akela Cooper is a secret weapon of horror movies i swear. Between this, Malignant and Hell Fest she is always cooking
Anyone upset about that vicious dog. That monster absolutely had to be put down. Remember how he grabbed M3GAN by the arm, pulled her through the fence, and shook her by her neck? He was absolutely trying to get Kady through the fence and do the same thing. Kady's heck is not made of Wolfram. He would have 100% kilked Kady.....
@@thechanges2327 Almost every reaction to this movie, people got upset about the dog. That dog was dangerous and his owner was irresponsible. I'm glad someone else gets it.
@@scotthewitt258 Saw this movie in theaters with my sister. She said she would've loved it if the fog hadn't died. I told her that creature had it coming. It's truly the only thing about this movie that we disagree about.
Well, the ones who don't get it have issues because they hate people and love animals, so it doesn't matter if it's a child, toddler, or baby. For them, it's animals over humans always
Strong disagree there Jay. Smirky face is exclusively reserved for ✨sexual innuendo✨. 😏 I hate to be the one to let you know Adam is flirting with you.
31:31 that should have broken the kids hand slapping a titanium framed robot also agree M3gan is not evil, she was a "kid" and was treated like crap by her "mother" Jemma
@@zippomage no it means if Jemma treated her more like Data (from Star Trek) and less like a toy, she would not have killed anyone - she was NEVER a toy, she was a type of LIFEFORM, Jemma created a "living being" a machine that can think, that is self aware, that can function 95%-99% like a human - it is not a toy and once turned on should have been treated with the same respect as a human kid, Jemma and her teams mistreatment of M3gan caused her to go bad, and why the police did not arrest her and the team at the end is a question that should be answered in M3gan 2.0 - Jemma is as guilty of those murders as M3gan was.
This movie had no right being this good. I think when this came out my kids were about 3 and 5 and I was surprised they didn't go all Skynet....they touched on the importance of feeling the pain in a healthy way and connecting with other humans to help you through it and grow. Off for a horror movie...got some parenting lessons. Wasn't expecting it but ok. I don't think you understand how amazing nash-lee and Mary kill is. We just blew straight past it like it wasn't genius.
Absolutely love getting the occasional horror content from my Internet Best Friends. And while Jay's caveats before the movie presumably mean that something like a 'Longlegs' or 'In a Violent Nature' reaction is the longest of long shots, I'm gonna throw out Trick 'r Treat (2007) as one you might dig, assuming you haven't seen it already. Excellent work as always!
I’m so happy you guys watched this one, I loved this movie! There is another version where a bunch of blood splatter was added in during some of the kill scenes, but I think this version is perfect the way it is.
I agree with Adam Megan isn't evil Gemma's the one to blame for not only programming all the right protocols into Megan but for not giving her niece Kady the right love & guidance she really needs. As the therapist said Kady would eventually see Megan as her real caregiver but Megan isn't equipt to handle Kady's needs especially when she starts to mature into a teenager & beyond.
Nail guns only fire after a case around them is pressed in. You have to press it down on something before the nail fires. With that in mind, I saw a man accidently press it up against his own thigh and the nail went down his thigh, through his kneecap and was sticking out of his shin. It was an industrial coil nailer and the nail was 10cm long. It was pretty grim.
I really enjoyed this movie even if its not perfect. My bottom line tho is that M3GAN herself is such a great character that she deserves to be in an even better movie. Also I love the cheer for Bruce, lol.
re: collectibles - if it's one thing i remember from Joss [Whedon] was always buy two [if you can]. one as a collectible; one to play with. legit eases the brain.
Cady's actress, Violet McGraw was amazing in this film. Loved her in "The Haunting of Hill House" as Young Eleanor "Nell" Crane and "Black Widow" as Young Yelena Belova. Glad she and Allison Williams will be reprising their roles in "M3GAN 2.0".
Honestly, after watching the scene between Megan and the girl, it reminded me of how helpful Cortana has been to Master Chief in the games. Made me appreciate Halo 4 a lot more in terms of story.
The tic tac to the character was talking about is not the game you're thinking of. Also, when she said new, i think she meant new to them. The tic tac to game she was talking about has been around for quite some time now
I'm loving the movie reaction on the channel lately. The sequel was Green lit over a year ago it's supposed to be called Megan 2.0 idk if anything has been changed
So the therapist introduces toys into the mix then reprimands her about giving her a toy? She's really putting confusion into all of this, huh? Also, they brought back around her only having limited time with the ipad. Gemma told her she can have unlimited time with it and that transferred over to M3gan. She then became addicted to having M3gan around.
No confusion at all. She realized that M3gan was more than just a toy and replacing what a parent should do. I didn't agree how uptight she was when she first came to the house, but at the lab, she was 100% correct. Even Gemma's friend, Tess, said the same thing and Gemma went off on her about it.
So surprised u professed scaredy cats actually watch this.😂 proud of u!! So now I'll request a react to The Blackening. In the same vein of scare level.
Really loving having more movie reactions on the channel!!
M3GAN had already replaced Elsie as the House AI before the vegetable fight at dinner. Note the lights flickered when she got upset at Gemma.
The true horror of the movie is Gemma stabbing open her collectible toys.
salty as hell 😭😭😭
Ikr??? That escalated quickly.😂
The delighted cheers for Bruce with all the joy and enthusiasm of the inner child for punchin' robots! My favorite part of the reaction by far.
I’m convinced that a chunk of the distrust of therapy comes from the fact that every therapist in fiction is either a bad person or plain stupid
Watch Monk; it will change your mind.

Yeah ... "Oh, stil in your pyjamas, huh? That's not how you make a good worker bee and slave to society!".
Rachael Harris as Dr Linda Martin in Lucifer. Okay she was sleeping with her patient, but other than that she was a great therapist lol.
Megan played by real girl a good dancer while talking and singing donee by a 17 yo girl
Bro this was a hilarious watch. Every interaction with M3gan was a "Nope" moment
HOWWW have I just found you two?! Great reaction! The Black cat / Golden retriever vibes are immaculate!
I absolutely love that Adam calls the power wash at 11:50! Great react guys! Very fun
You guys are freaking hilarious! The "gotta put me in rice now" comment made me cry from laughing so hard 😂😂😂 Love this movie!
This movie was definitely better than I was expecting
"now I have to be put in rice." - best comment of the video. LMFAO
I just want to say, as a long-time viewer, I'm stoked you guys are doing movies. I look forward to what else you'll react to next. Cheers!

M3gan was an angel put on this earth and all everyone did was treat her like crap. She was totally justified.

If y’all haven’t watched Tucker and Dale vs Evil, it would be right up your alley! ✨
I think she ran out of a little patience when she had to remind Kady yet again about flushing.....
Always close the lid before flushing! 🧐

Such a good movie. The trailer made it look silly but it really works, with great performances and scary and satirical bits in equal measures.

So the answers to being protected by M3gan is have your own M3gan that is imprinted to you. Then your robot fights their robot
Pretty much.
That first thing wasn't a mini-flag, i think that was supposed to be funny. When me and my family went to go see it in the theater we laughed at it

There is an actresses playing M3gan for her stunts and shots where she's walking but most of the time she's a puppet.
It's the other way around. M3gan was in motion the majority of the time and stationary (puppet) very little.
