I love Abigail. It's so entertaining. I had my mom watch it and she had no idea what it was about. She just kept going, "Something is wrong with that girl, isn't it?". lol. She loved the movie. Also, RIP Angus. He was the first casuality in the film. He was an amazing actor on Euphoria and passed away last year.
A few things 1) if you really like horror comedies with over-the-top blood effects like this one, check out Ready or Not by same directors 2) I don't know if that is his exact accent, but Kevin Durand is French-Canadian from Ontario, so i think its close 3) Not to sub more salt in the wound, but Angus Cloud talks like that because he had a hard injury that gave him mild brain damage, you can see the scar on his head in a few shots
Kevin Durand (Peter) actually has that accent! He has never acted with his real accent before and he convinced the writers to make Peter from Quebec with the same accent so he could do it. Also, I believe Angus Cloud (based on the scars on his head) had some head trauma or brain injury that slurred his speech and that's why he sounds like that. I could be wrong, but I thought that's what I read.
So funny when Adam wasn't sure that the movie was actually over , so much insane shit kept happening that Jay and Adam stayed on guard until the credits started 😂😂
2 facts about this movie: The actor who played Lazare, Matthew Goode, already played an another vampire, named Matthew Clairmont(de Clermont) in a tv show named A Discovery of Witches. And the actress Katherine Newton played in Supernatural, and was a hunter.
As I told my bestie, this is a monster movie whose underlying message is - "The first step to being a good parent, is showing up", they just hide it behind A LOT of gore.
Has anyone ever suggested to these fine gents to watch and react to Train to Busan (y'know, in honor of spooky season and all that jazz)? There are definite aspects to that film I genuinely think they'd enjoy and have certain reactions over (and we who have seen it, without spoiling it, would know definitely what reactions to expect).
You market it LIKE THE MOVIE DID. Girl is kidnapped. Her father turns out to be a legendary Kaiser Soze type who has some kind of super-savage werewolf/vampire hit-man. The kidnappers try to survive. That misdirect is a good story and is completely developed in the movie and easy to develop in a trailer. You can even show the victims and reactions. Two people are even seemingly killed by the werewolf hit-man before the reveal. Most conversations work whether it is Abigail or Dad trying to kill them. You can even show Dracula from the ending for a super misdirect
I'm so glad this movie made you guys emotional. I was going THROUGH it. And you guys explained why that happened so well. It was not what I was expecting at all and yet it was better than the epic expectations I had. For different reasons than I expected as well. . . I hope you guys don't stop these reactions any time soon... Till you're 90
Conor Angus Cloud Hickey was born on July 10, 1998, and grew up in Oakland, California. He attended the School of Production Design at Oakland School for the Arts, where he was a classmate of his future Euphoria co-star Zendaya. Cloud said that he suffered "minor brain damage" after falling into a construction pit in a poorly-lit street in the downtown area of Oakland in 2013. Damn, Jay...lol
The actor, Kevin Durand (Peter), you were wondering if that was his real accent... the answer is pretty much. It sounds just slightly heavier, to me, in this than when I see him in interviews. Also, you likely recognize him as Blob in X-Men Origins: Wolverine and he was the voice of Proximus Caesar in Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes.
Not only my favorite horror film of the year, but probably my favorite of the recent Universal Horror remakes. Also, wow is Matthew Goode great as Dracula for what little time he was given

Both Dan Stevens(Frank) andMatthew Goode(Abigail’s dad) we’re in Downton Abbey, and both were married to the main character Mary Crowley after Dan Stevens left and then the character played by Matthew Goode came in and she married him. I absolutely love the way that Dan Stevens delivered “Sammy those are fucking onions” was absolutely hilarious. I saw this in theaters and it is one of my favorite movies of the year.
Saw this on a plane last month, didn't know anything about it going in (but had suspicions early on - creepy little girl who was very composed). Really enjoyed it, it's a fun, well written film that had sharp characters and smart dialogue and knew not to take itself too seriously. I don't love vampire loves but I love The Lost Boys and this movie. I jumped a lot in the theater which it was just me and my 7 yr old daughter in the movie theater.
Jessica Hurney: A hacker who started her career siphoning money from her affluent parents’ bank accounts. Hedge funds came next, then private offshore accounts, and eventually, much bigger fish. One in particular. Terrence Lacroix: Muscle for the Montreal Broussard family. Did it bore him, snapping necks for pay? Enduring endless taunts from his colleagues about his stunted intellect? Is that why he stole from his crew, who just happened to be a tiny subsidiary of their empire? How long did the money last for this weak, disloyal inebriate? Adam Barrett: A former detective who thought he could infiltrate their New York arm under deep cover. But he liked the life a little too much. The power he had when he was free of rules and regulations. It became an addict. How empty did he feel when he finally arrested their three lieutenants he’d worked so hard to get close to? And how empty did he feel after Abigail ripped up their bodies in the hotel penthouse because of him? He changed his name, he left town, and he never saw his family again. But it wasn’t for their safety. Ana Lucia Cruz: A tragic former army medic drummed out of service for shooting up Uncle Sam’s morphine. She tried to take care of her son, before abandoning him to his father. She became an underground doctor for some very shady people. But one day, she was just too high to do her job, and instead of removing a bullet, she nicked an artery, and someone very important to Kristof’s business bled out. But She and Adam have something in common: They never went back for their sons.
I was one of the lucky few not to be spoiled by the trailer or any social media post about it, for some reason when I seen suggested videos of the trailer and reaction channels reacting to the trailer the Abigail title never grabbed my attention and even when it came to streaming it was recommended several times but I ignored it for some time, till one day late at night utterly bored and looking for something to watch and bam it popped up as a recommendation for horror and I was uhhh ok fine I will watch it, and man I am glad I did and for me I had no clue she was a vampire only that it was a horror so it came as a total and welcome surprise when the reveal happened
Angus was more of a vibe than an actor. A truly lovely guy though. And his vibe definitely worked for euphoria. Maybe you guys should consider reacting to euphoria now? It's a lot but it's interesting

I figured he talked like that because he's from Oakland
They specifically changed Kevin's character to be Canadian so he could use his normal accent.
Alisha Weir played Abigail and did a very good job. She also starred in Matilda the Musical movie.
They should definitely react to that too!! ❤🎉❤🎉
“Who’s your father?” “Dracula” 🤣🤣🤣 nice one Jay
