No one has actually explained about the process of taking pain meds for it and I’m glad u made a clip about it thank you , I assumed the same thing u were going through, and I’m rly nervous to get mine
Thank u so much for the video!!! It's the first ''corona-time'' one i find, and it was really helpful because i'm thinking in getting my tongue pierced but was worried about the virus and stuff
yeah I definitely was not expecting the pain or rather discomfort during the first couple days of healing...but after the first 7 days of hell, it was perfectly fine and I started to love it even more!!
This is for whoever plans on piercing their tongue pain killers before or immediately after trust me it work wonders and pain killers for the next couple a days after. I did that and I was eating just as normal that night I had jerk chicken I didn't have a problem to eat and I didn't hurt
I got my tongue pierced back in September. The healing process was annoying but well worth it in the end. I couldn't swallow for a week (I was a mess the first three days after getting it done, much to the amusement of everyone in class. I still can only swallow by slurping my spit like it's hot soup, that's annoying but well worth it. I'm a university student and this is my senior year). I love my tongue piercing though, I like playing with it and I kind of enjoy flaunting it when I meet new people as a conversation piece. Amazingly, they used to let people record the piercing process and only the piercer wore a surgical mask before 2020, I used to watch tongue piercing videos back in the day because I wanted it done for years, a lot has changed since then unfortunately. Thankfully they lifted the pandemic protocols earlier this year here in western Massachusetts but I know in eastern Massachusetts you'd think it was still May 2020 (many places around Cambridge, MA still have mask mandates and social distancing guidelines).
💖 Looks cool, I think if you change the silver tongue ring for a golden one, it will look really classy! 🥰 There is so much cool jewelry for tongue piercings available, you can make a try-on video about it! 😍
I just got my tongue pierced a week ago. I had it done years ago but decided to get it again. I had the worst swelling for four days. I could barely talk. I didn’t eat. I have to take meds everyday and that was painful. I’m finally able to eat. I had to go to work and talk. It sucked!
🤩 Cool video - love the piercing, it suits your style! What reactions you got from your family, when you showed them the tongue ring? The older generation does not like it at all, I guess? 🙈🤷🏻♀️🙄
You're piercer should have given you food suggestions. I suggest smoothies, yogurt, baby food apple sauce, nutritional shakes, and cold items including frozen treats. Once the swelling reduces simple foods that can be cut into small pieces and placed into the molars.
I tried smoothies and ice cream. Food like mashed potatoes, yogurt, etc aren't recommended because the food can get in your piercing and cause more irritation.
Yeah it my 3rd day after I got my tongue pierced now and it doesn't hurt at all and everything feels normal somehow but the piercing part was the most painful part for me and the day after that was it. But my second day and now third day is upsolutely fine😁
Yes, chewing gum is perfectly okay! It's a little weird to get used to at first, and I still get my gum wrapped around my piercing once in awhile but it's not a big deal!
I know its a bit late to comment this now, and you might have known about this later or later in the video, but you're not actually supposed to drink through a straw after getting it pierced
@@natcheeryy lol I'm not sure how much softer you can get than noodles. You aren't supposed to eat food like apple sauce, mashed potatoes, etc because it can get in your piercing.
@@taquelabeale7436 that's what I've heard however my piercer told me to avoid yogurt, mashed potatoes and smoothies because it would get inside my piercing and cause infection. He did recommend ice cream and popsicles, so I ate those! I have a super high metabolism and can't live off ice cream and popsicles so I had to put myself through eating which is why I made the noodles. I needed the carbs😅
isnt that a super super weird feeling sitting in your car after you have a piercing done? your thinking what the hell did i just do hahahah
haha YUP! slight regret but mostly just excited😂

Yes, pain medicine is key! Unfortunately, I have a history of GI issues and cannot take pain meds, but I still did only once for the piercing.

Looks great! I hope you post a tongue piercing pro & con like video when it's completely healed✌️❤️
Good idea! I will definitely do that!
@@havenlicht2168 cool - maybe some types of food will be more difficult to chew - like sticky candy (Toffee, Fudge) or chewing gums 🤔
i got my tongue pierced 2 days ago, i'm so hungry
I got mine yesterday but I got snake eyes 😔
SAMEEEE
I couldn’t bring myself to poke my tongue out when I got it done you’re strong 💪🏾
Mine was painless but rn it’s day 4 and I’m starting to eat alittle more each day! Super worth it tho! The lisp is the worst 😔

You look awesome with a tongue piercing, please do never remove it!
I've had mine done 5 times over the years and it never hurt. Like 1/10
The worst of it is the healing process. Man it sucks! Lol
Lucky, mine hurt pretty bad!

I can relate!! I couldn't eat or talk at all but thankfully my swelling wasn't too bad..
I just got my tongue pierced a week ago and it only hurt for three days I'm good so far 🤣 I love it 😎😋
Can you do a piercings video?? It really suits you!!
Yes, I totally will! Good idea😊

I’m getting one Friday I’ve had my snake bites now I’m getting the one you have and I’m nervous ugh !
Don't be nervous! It's so worth it!!
Tip that helped me during the healing proces:
Drink cold camomile tea!
Ice cream dinner! lol

Niiiice, thanks for the info I'm about to get one soon.. and I was worried about how I'm gonna get food down into my belly pot 😁
I tried smoothies and ice cream. Food like mashed potatoes, yogurt, etc aren't recommended because the food can get in your piercing and cause more irritation.
question? why is yours so close to the tip of your tongue? i thought the piercing should be a little further back?

I'm so glad to hear your healing experience is going well!!
Mehn the eating part got me laughing cos the Same way I eat too it hurt so badly I hv to try hard to eat spicy soup it lk heaven on earth
This probs won't be read but is chewing gum OK to use because its like I'm obsessed with gum and how is it coming along

When do you upload new content? I hope soon, your videos are fun to watch! ❤️🙌
Just posted a new video last night!
@@havenlicht2168 Great! 🙂👍
It never happened that your car didn't start
?
Did it heal
Has it done any damage to ur gums, like recessing?
I haven't noticed any changes or damage to my gums!
When did the pain at the tip of your tongue disappear? Was it a numb feeling?
yes it is a numb feeling. i got mine done 2 days ago and it’s still numb
@@crystalbrown5037 5 months later and the right side of mine is still slightly numb
I did mine last Tuesday...... but the healing process hurts!
it goes by quickly!!
Ibuprofen gets rid of the swelling so u can eat without the pain !
I don’t know what to do today’s my 50 I got my tongue pierced it’s killing me with pain and I think 🤔
I got mine done yesterday,it was painless & only hurts when I eat,I'm thinking that I'll just have to eat noodles,I've given up on solid meals
U shoulda ate those dissolving baby puff snacks
How long did ur lisp last?
I posted a new video all about it!
Congrats:) How you are still happy with it! Only thing is that it is really far out in my opinion¿?
I am still obsessed with it! NO regrets :)

Haha yeah, you're totally right about that...however, I cannot drink without a straw so I continued to do it even though I shouldn't have!
Did ur family finally accept it
How was the healing
that’s the whole point of the video
Did ur parents make u take it out
Pierce ur other side of nose it looks cute
Have you ever heard of soup?
nope, never heard of her
istg during the whole eating part I was like- sis get some soft food instead of hard food, when I saw the noodles I just gave up for her
