I definitely find the 16mm to be pretty versatile and still a great value from Sigma. Especially when shooting APS-C it's still wise to get faster lenses, at least if you're shooting in low light. Great video Niko!
Yeah. This is a great value lens. Plus, if you check out my other video, this is totally useable on a Sony Full Frame body in full frame mode 🙂

Hi Victor, I don't have the camera and the lens anymore. But when I had it, I do shoot in SLog2 all the time and color grade in post.

I think the 16mm focal length would be better for landscape photography. And the 35mm would be better for portrait.

Hi does that sony zve10 have ibis?.. I have the sigma 16mm f1.4 for my a6000 but I want a different camera for UA-cam purposes.. vlogging type stuff but I don't want all the shaky footage.. I want to shoot 4k with ibis..
It has Active SteadyShot. Although, the Active SteadyShot in the ZV-E10 has a huge crop. So your 16mm might be more of a 21 or 22mm on APS-C. Might be tight for walking vlogs.
Hello po! I just recently made a new purchase on sony zve-10 body only. And i am thinking about lens that is suitable for photography(ie:landscape, portraits & street photography aspects) but still brings with nice bokeh effect. Is there any lens that u can recommend? I am not into professional photography thing, just wanted to get a lens that fits to my needs and can be flexible during travels. Disclaimer: am just a starter. Looking forward to hear from u soon. Hi. You’re examples all need different focal lengths so I just getting a standard zoom lens like the Sigma 18-50 f/2.8 or the Tamron 17-70 f/2.8. 🙂
What Final Cut Plugin are you using for the text overlays ? Is it from motionvfx??
I'm not using Final Cut, I'm using Premiere Pro. And those are motion graphics templates I've downloaded from Envato Elements. I have a link to Envato Elements in the description. I believe they have templates for Final Cut too.

Hmmm…usually grain/noise is associated with High ISO. What ISO settings are you using?

Hi. Better is subjective. It depends on what your use case is. If you want the better lens for low light, then the Sigma 16mm is the better lens. Is you want an ultra wide angle lens for real estate vidoegraphy or vlogging, then the Tamron 11-20 might be a better option.

Salamat! Although, di ko maalala ano exact setup. Pero the lens I used it here is the Sigma 24-70. I forgot anong focal length. Feeling ko around 28-35mm. Basta the camera is not within arms reach.
The key light I used here is the Godox SL60W.

is Background Defocus feature still works on this sigma lens? i thought it requires autofocus lens, dont work with fix lenses..
The Sigma 16mm is an autofocus lens.

I'd have to go with the Sigma 56mm 1.4. I used to have the 30mm with the 16mm with my a6400. But That combo really lacks the telephoto/portrait type focal length.

Is sigma 16 mm or sony 11mm good ?
I have a nood question. If i use this lens in a sony fullframe super35 mode, it'll be around 24Fullframe equivalent right. Will it preserve the 1.4 aperture or i still multiply it with the cropfactor of 1.5? Making it 24 2.8 equivalent? Nice content sir. Mabuhay
In terms of the light it lets in, it is still going to be a 1.4. But if you’re talking about the look of the shallow depth of field or bokeh, you multiply it. This is because technically, the compression you are getting from the lens is still 16mm, not 24mm, and you are just cropping in the center image. And bokeh is not just dependent on the f-stop but also the focal length. That is why you still get creamy bokeh with focal lengths at 105mm even though you only have an f-stop of f/4. I hope I explained it properly 🙂

For landscape pwede. For street photography pwede din naman pero wider look siya than the usual 35mm full frame look na gusto ng mga tao for street photography.
