Mushrooms popping up in the lawn is not a bad thing. That shows your lawn is rich in organic matter but if you want to slow Mushrooms down you can spray a fungicide on the lawn. I've used this on my lawn for 2 yrs. This year I bagged grass and dumped into my garden compost bin. After a week and some rainfall the bin smelled like poop. The smell is so strong it is disgusting. Lesson learned don't bag the grass and make a pile. Pew pew !

You're only wasting it because, your grass is already a deep green from the previous fertilizer application, and you're not going to see any difference.

Adding Milorganite is never a waste it does so much more for the soil alone than synthetic fertilizer can.

Even though Milogranite is organic, a lawn can still get too much nitrogen in the soil and can damage and kill your grass, whether if the fertilizer is organic or synthetic. Why fertilize a lawn when it doesn't need it, which can be a waste of product, and possibly causing damage in the process. Generally, fertilizer is recommended to be applied four times a year. Anything over that amount can be damaging. You don't want to overdo it because, it will do your lawn more harm than good when you're over-fertilizing. Many people think by Milogranite being organic, they can use it as often as they want, but that is a strong misperception. Too much of anything is not good, and the same goes for organic fertilizer. It's best to apply fertilizer at the recommended time intervals as instructed to get the best results. Also, I advise anybody to get a soil test to know if there are any nutrient deficiencies, or high-level of chemicals in the soil, that need to be corrected, to maintain a healthy lawn. A soil test is crucial for proper lawn care, and the person will know exactly what nutrients their lawn need or doesn't need.
