Vespa VBB 1964 Gear Oil Change

- Опубліковано 4 жов 2024
- Description:-
Vespa VBB requires an oil change for the gear box separately , since the engine oil for lubrication of cylinders and other moving parts is added into the fuel as 2% of the petrol added.
The gear box oil should be changed by 3000 Km max , I personally change it around 1000 km just to be safe and reduce wear of parts, since it is a vintage vehicle and parts are hard to come by every day.
For the oil change I Used:
--20W-50 Engine Oil
--#11 wrench
--a box to collect the old oil
--oil gun
-- Gloves (ideally)
Nice video, Weary! Very thorough and helpful for our two 1965 Sprint 150s. One suggestion: Clean those whitewalls, brother! They're a pain in the ass to maintain, but it'll make your grandpa proud, dude!
Thanks ! glad I could help, Sure will do
You can. Use a 50/100ml syringe to fill the fresh oil
Lovely Vespa, I have the same. Great video
Be very careful what oil you put in the gearbox of an old Vespa. There are also clutch plates with a cork coating. They swell from certain additives that are in new multigrade oils. The best is straight viscosity 30 engine oil. Such is used, for example, in lawn mowers.
Great vid, Thanks!
Thanks!
Love the seat cover! Can you help for order info? Thanks buddy
Sure, contact for further info
Is it has to be 20w 50 for that gear oil sir?
And 2 stroke logo need to be on that bottle information ? Im very new in vespa and just got the vbb 1961. Need help pls thank you.
So is this the gear oil or the engine oil? I just bought a 1961 150 vbb and want to change the engine oil. Thanks in advance
It’s a 2stroke bro
This is the gear oil , for the engine oil since it’s a 2 stroke , you mix it into the fuel , usually at a ratio of 2% but can be upto 3-4% aswell for Vespa VBB.
Sr which Grade oil u have used in your Vespa 150 and how much quantity you have 300 ml or 400ml
Which oil are you referring to ? One needs to be filled as shown and one pre mixed with the fuel.
1liter for vespa vbb ???
is there any oil filter at the engine oil like the modern vespa ??
No there isn’t !
