    Hi , I love watching your videos. I came across your channel in search for finding a routine for my mum with deep wrinkles esp around her eyes ,she’s 61. Can you please guide some specific eye treatment/products for deep wrinkles or should I just follow your Retinol video and spread the Retinol a bit like you did in there. Thank you

    I'm a firm believer in double cleansing at night! Especially if I'm wearing a great deal of makeup! I haven't tried Physicians Formula yet, I've been enjoying Sephora's makeup balm and then going in with Cerave Hydrating cleanser. Can I just say that I adore your pajamas?! Super cute! Thank you for sharing, Tamara! 😍

      Hi Cat, I agree the only way to get ALL sunscreen and makeup off is a good double cleanse. I wish I could use the CeraVe Cleanser...it has such great reviews and is so reasonably priced...but for some reason it irritates/stings my skin. Which is so weird because I love their PM moisturizer and also the Moisturizing Cream. I do love the Mad Hippie so much, but slightly more expensive. Thanks for being here ❤️

    I absolutely love your videos! I use similar products so I know im doing the right thing. In the AM ..i don't cleanse so I use a green tea, hyaluronic toner. I also use Timeless Vitamin C .Next I use The Ordinary Lactid acid. Then I use Timeless co Q10. I use cerave AM and mix with Elta MD sunscreen to protect my face.....My PM routine is Bella JADE baum cleanser which I adore. I double cleanse with Cerave hydrating cleanser and use my wonder cloth .I put on my Curology tretinoin. Next I use Timeless matrixyl synthe 6. Then I use Versed on the rise resveratrol + peptide mix. Lastly I moisturize with Cerave Pm mixed with my favorite Purad'or Rosehip seed oil....i know it is alot but my skin tolerates it well and I use my tretinoin every other day.

    I feel like that is a lot to put on after Retin-A, but that's just me, is it safe? About a month or month and a half ago I started with the Retin-A routine (again) now I'm committing to it, however, when I put sunscreen to go out I noticed my face gets very inflamed, why? I stopped putting it (decrease dosage) on my neck bc it was getting inflamed just as much when I would put lotion afterward too.

    • @TamarasTimelessBeauty
      @TamarasTimelessBeauty  4 роки тому +1

      I have been on RetinA a long time and my skin tolerates the additional serums very well. If you are just getting back to RetinA, keep it very simple. I would just follow your RetinA with a rich moisturizer. If sunscreen is irritating your skin it may be either you went in too fast with the RetinA and your moisture barrier is disrupted, or you are sensitive to certain ingredients in your sunscreen. And you do not want to skimp on sunscreen...it is really the number one most important thing in skincare. Mineral sunscreen tends to be much less sensitizing than chemical sunscreen. So I would suggest easing back a little in your RetinA, use a rich moisturizer that contains cream idea (CerVe Cream is a excellent) and find a sunscreen that does not irritate your skin. Look for a zinc oxide based sunscreen. I really like EltaMD mineral sunscreen, hope this helps!

      @@TamarasTimelessBeauty Thank you so much Tamara! I noticed the Alba Hawaiian Sunscreen made me inflamed but the La Roche Posay Anthelios Sunscreen didn't. Hi Tamara
    I have a question, I just got my doc to give me a script for tretinoin. What’s the best way to
    begin regimen. Also on nights I don’t use it, do I still use my drugstore retinol. I’ve never had a prescription before. I’ve only been using drugstore one for as about 3 months. I’m pretty new to all of it. Even though I’m 53, better ate then never. Thanks for your help, and inspiring me to use it!

    • @TamarasTimelessBeauty
      @TamarasTimelessBeauty  4 роки тому +1

      Hi Wendy! Super exciting to be starting Retin A! I suggest stopping your Retinol. Start the RetinA once a week for a couple weeks. A good way to minimize irritation is to cleanse, apply moisturizer and let that absorb/dry for 10 or so minutes, then apply your pea size of Retin a. Of course avoiding the eye area, sides of the nose and corners of your mouth. Then apply moisturizer again. After a couple weeks add a second night, same process. See how your skin responds for a couple weeks then gradually build up until your skin is tolerating 5 or 6 nights a week, it might take a while but that’s ok. Keep your skin care simple and gentle. Plenty of moisturizer and for sure sunscreen everyday. Slow and steady wins the race. Keep me posted!

    • @TamarasTimelessBeauty
      @TamarasTimelessBeauty  4 роки тому +1

      One more thing...if you are already super acclimated yo your retinol, it probably wouldn’t hurt to continue with your Retinol a few nights a week, while you work up on your Tret, just watch for irritation.

    What go first niacinamide or retinol?

    • @TamarasTimelessBeauty
      @TamarasTimelessBeauty  3 роки тому +1

      Niacinamide and Retinoids are a dream team! I get my RetinA through Curology and they mix the two together in one treatment cream so I don't think the order of application matters at all. Niacinamide is also in my moisturizer (CeraVe PM) and in my sunscreen! In general when layering products, either start with the thinnest consistency or start with the most important active. I always apply my RetinA before any other serums or creams.
      Thank you for the question! Hope this helps ❤️

    I'm a little older than you with sensitive dry skin. (Likely undiagnosed rosacea as my mother had.) My skin stopped getting along with RetinA, so I worked to find something effective that served my purposes. Paula's Choice came out with 2 cbd products awhile back (no thc in either, of course) & I tried the transformative treatment milk & was *sold* within days. I now top that with her cbd oil + a small dab of CeraVe in the tub. That combination causes no reaction & it's now my gold standard. I use the Hada Labo cleansing oil & love it. I follow it with the HL creamy (though they call it foamy) cleanser or Paula's Choice cleanser for men. (Same formula as women's but in a tube & sometimes less expensive.) Whatever I use on face goes on neck/chest/arms/hands. I go over my hands & arms with a dollop of Eucerin Advanced & carry excess up my neck to fight pesky ingrown hairs. It's a simple & cost-effective night routine that doesn't flare up my skin. Blessings! Jackie in upstate NY

    I really like cleansing oils. I'm using one from DHC right now, but my favorite is from Burt's Bee's. I've also been using the Cerave PM on the top of my hands, they are extremely dry. What do you think of face oils? I'm using one from a brand called Dirty Lamb. They call it an ultra night serum, but it's more of an oil. Thanks for all the helpful info. Stay well!❤💖❤

      Hi Atna,
      I love cleansing oils. That DHC one is excellent...might have to give Burts Bee's a try sometime too. I don't typically use other types of topical facial oils on any kind of regular basis. Having said that, I do keep some Marula and Rose Hipseed oil on hand for pre treating my chin prior to applying RetinA to ensure the RetinA does not drift to my chin where for some reason it causes a pretty severe irritation. I will occasionally use oils as a last step in my evening routine in the winter if I am extra dry. Thanks for asking!

      Hi Debra, It might be a good idea to start with very gentle AHA toner such as lactic acid to get your skin used to it. Another type of AHA to look for is PHA or poly hydroxy acid. As far as exfoliating masks go, the gentlest one I have tried is Acure Resurfacing Fruit Peel. It is a fruit enzyme exfoliator which is very gentle. The Drunk Elephant TLC sukari Baby Facial is pretty strong, but not as strong as the Ordinary. I also like the Bay Harbor Beauty Pumpkin Enzyme mask. Which is the gentlest of the three AHA Masks...but still packs a much. I am linking my Exfoliation Video...you might find that helpful as well. ua-cam.com/video/-ydelF82vHY/v-deo.html

Looking forward to an update on the nuface, I’ve been using it for a couple years mostly everyday for 5 minutes each side, not sure if it’s doing much but I don’t want to stop🥴! Thought about buying the mini...but with further research am now considering myolift based on JenniferJoyceBeauty and Claudias (HappilyHealthfull) recommendations. Will post an update on that soon. Thanks for reminding me. Thanks for being here! Take care ❤️

      Tamara’s Timeless Beauty oh wow it fell apart?! I have the nuface pro and the mini but like I said I’m not seeing anything to noticeable so I have also been considering the myolift but their sold out right now on beautylish which I think are the only ones that sell it so I’ll check back again. Most comments I’ve read on it are great, also most people have said they didn’t notice much from the nuface until they stopped using it!

      Hi Vera, good question! I should have addressed eye cream in the video. but no, I don’t use a separate eye cream. The only time I use an eye cream is in the morning on make up days, I will pre hydrate my under eyes with Kiehls Creamy avacado eye cream so the concealer goes on more smoothly. I apply a tiny bit and let it set for 10 minutes before adding corrector/concealer. Almost like a primer.

    Love your recommendations. I use retin a every 3 days for almost 3 years. However , I don't add anything on my retin a nites. I am afraid it will interfere with the retin a. Maybe not? I use Cacay oil on nights i don't use retin a. Love your eyelashes! I love skin care too.❤️ I use an oil for first cleanse. It's called Rice Water Bright. By the face shop. It's a Korean product, and very inexpensive. Usually 12.00 on amazon. Then I have been using Cerave skin cleanser, but it sometimes burns my face. I will try the MADD Hippy when I'm done with that.

      @@TamarasTimelessBeauty I read the previous message about using it every three days... I just got my Retin A last week and I used it all week lol and I haven’t experienced any redness as of today, but do you think in your opinion that I should stay at everyday or skip a few days ? I know it’s more of a personal preference issue, but I am 53 years old so I need to take advantage of every second since I just started taking care of my skin. Also, in your opinion do you think that facial massages and facial yoga will actually take away any marionette lines ? Thank you ! Love your channel, I am a new subscriber!

      @@utube0372 welcome! Super happy to have you here! How exciting to be starting your RetinA journey! Hmm...of course you know I’m not a dermatologist and can not give medical advise...some people have a really easy time adjusting to retinA, but most experience some level of irritation. One thing with RetunA is it can build up, and even if not irritating right away, you are at risk for irritation hitting all of a sudden. I’m pretty conservative and really try to avoid skin inflammation...it’s much easier to avoid than to repair. So if it were me, I would ease back to at least every other day for a couple of weeks...evaluate and either go down in frequency if irritation arises or ease frequency up if you are not experiencing undo irritation. The other thing is you didn’t mention the strength...perhaps you are starting with the lower dose? which would be smart and may be one reason you are not experiencing irritation. My motto start low and go slow and listen to your skin. Hope this helps. Keep me posted! 🥰

      @@TamarasTimelessBeauty That is very good advice, I think I will use it every other day. I know you’re not a dermatologist lol that’s why I said your opinion, but I value it very much so thank you very much. I was given the medium dose strength to start with, so far no irritation; but to be safe I will slow it down. I do put on like 1/4 of a pea size amount tho lol cuz I’m afraid of using medications. I’m a big chicken when it comes to this cuz I worry about hidden side effects... thanks again for responding to my comment!

    I love your videos. I started using tretinoin and CeraVe PM when I was 42. I am turning 50 this year. I keep looking for ways to improve my routine even further, as I am determined to try and age gracefully. I recently started using a jade roller everyday and a gua sha stone at least once a week. I think this has been helping me, as my face feels firmer and definitely looks less puffy. I will be following to see your results with the antipigmentation serum. I had one dark spot frozen off and want to avoid any more. I refuse to use lightening creams, such as hydroxyquinone. I hope to have as much good fortune, as your skin looks great.

      Alexandra ..... can I tell you at 16, Oh how I wish I had started the good skin care. .. please use good sun screen, and never go,to bed with makeup on. A good moisturizer for your skin type. If you have breakouts since you are 16, use a gentle gentle cleanser for that, but never use the cleansers with harsh granules that can tear your skin. Only the gentle granules. Bottom line, good sun screen now always, and you won't regret it. Sun damage sometimes takes 10'years to show up, so be faithful with that.
