I found a number of videos but they weren't detailed enough and easy to understand. Your vid fit both criteria for me. So, I've subscribed to your channel and appreciate the help. Take care.

    Thank you for the detailed explanation and especially the demonstrative video with the practical side of what is happening. I have often searched the internet for a video where someone also shows how this connection works, and must also confirm how someone in the comments already mentioned that you are the only one who shows and explains it so well!! Compliment a very nice and understandable video! Now I know how to do it and what I need for it. I have one last question, is the remote control connected to you at all? Do you then use the AVR remote control to switch both devices on and off and also operate them?

      In the amp assign section u have to select the mode of assignment of ur speakers, then mostly the avr/processor itself will guide u the channels to use for ur wide speakers, its all depends on ur avr model,
      Generally there will be some assignable channels (mostly height channels )u should have to use tat in this case.

    • @HometheaterEnthusiast
      @HometheaterEnthusiast  3 роки тому +2

      Hi glad to know u enjoyed the video😊
      I think u got confused a bit. RCAs are not speaker level so there should be only one rca cable for one channel (speaker). Also here red and white doesn’t make any sense u can consider red is for right speaker and white for left. Here all the rca preouts are for a dedicated channel which mean to a dedicated speaker may be left or right or center . So we need only one rca connection to the center channel too.
      Hope u understood, pls let me know if u need more clarification, glad to support 😊

      Hi brother, Actually I don’t remember the denon setup 😞 but as u said if it’s providing option for front and back, it may be front and back hight speakers because there is 2 main reason u go for an external amp,
      1. To increase the number of channels
      2. To power ur speaker with a more powerful external amp
      The brand provided both the options for u because if ur need is reason 2 then u should power the front speakers for better performance, if it’s option 1 that is ur case then just power the back hight because it doesn’t make much difference in performance.
      Now the case is u need a different type of configuration like top speakers then my suggestion is try out if it takes automatically by Audyssey.
      If u need more flexibility in external amplification u should use a pre amp other than AVR.
      I know it may not help you but just some suggestions. 😊

    Great video thanks, is it possible to power for example, front left and front right with the amp, but power the centre speaker with the AVR processor at the same time?
    I understand there will be different connections involved, but with it being a 5 channel amp only, if I wanted to get say Dolby Atmos speakers on a later date, would I be able to power the new Atmos speakers through the AVR and the older 5.0 speakers through the amp at the same time without any problems?

      @HometheaterEnthusiast  3 роки тому +1

      U can power any 5 channels through the power amp and remaining from ur avr that doesn’t make any issues, its normal.
      Go ahead..👍🏼enjoy 😊

    Hi, thanks for your good explanation. I have a doubt regarding my current set up and the new AVR I am planning to buy.
    I currently have two HT setup (Sony & Philips). While I will certainly discard one, I am thinking of using the other one as a "pre-out - zone 2" connection with either a Yamaha or Denon AVR. Can you please help me to understand if the new AVR will be able to send out digital sound to my old HT set up through the RCA cable from Zone2 preout?

    • @HometheaterEnthusiast
      @HometheaterEnthusiast  2 роки тому

      Yes, only if both the AVR has the support.
      Your new avr should have a multi zone feature and the old avr which receives the input should have rca input option.

      @@HometheaterEnthusiast Thanks. Yes, my old HT has RCA input. My only doubt was whether the multi zone feature in the new AVRs send out digital audio signal.

      @@musammilthaha7660 actually processors don’t need to be suited with ur speakers, its the power amp, since u are already selected av8801 its a good processor but little old, so i will suggest u to go through the specs and confirm if everything is there that you want.
      For better quality i will suggest use balanced connections (xlr) from processor to amp, but again it depends on whether ur amp support it.
      And regarding the speakers u r using, i’m not familiar with it and i know boss has decent speakers in tiny form factor. But u can always think about upgrading ur speakers in future as well.
      So for the time being everything will work fine.👍🏼
