You have just made me the happiest person on earth with this simple easy to understand teaching of Ventilator. You surely have the gift of teaching. Many great thanks.
My eldest sister was just diagnosed with COPD yesterday and I decided to do research on youtube and have learnt a lot from your channel alone especially the basics COPD abcd. Keep up the great job in educating.
just came across on your channel today and i loved the way you breakdown each diseases/disorders. kindly discuss clinical procedures such as spinal tap, central line insertions, chest tube insertion, peg tube, etc., I already hit subscribe button. Thank u!
Not saying this is good news as a patient...but this is by far the best information to understand what is going on and how to treat it and and what is possible...Thank you very much for your indept explaination. It gives me fear and hope at the same time...hmm But understanding what is going on is the basis of a good strategy. Thank you again.
Dr. Fazai, has whole-body vibration been studied to see if it improves pulmonary function? I know that vibration is used in respiratory therapy and that whole-body vibration has been shown to strengthen the vascular and musculoskeletal systems. It seems logical that it would help individuals manage symptoms. I hope a study is done soon if it hasn't already been done. COPD is a horrible chronic illness to live with.
Thank you so much, i have learnt a lot, please dont stop the great work you are doing. I love your videos and i am sharing the link with my colleagues. Ebenisha Choonya Majata from Zambia.
Thank you , My father has been coughing for how many years now , a lot of cough medicine and antibiotic the doctor give but still the same .. I wonder if he has COPD … which kind of doctor we can go to diagnose the COPD? Thank you in advance 🙏
Very interesting vlideo, i tolerate exercise, i don't smoke, just recoverd from h pylori and acid reflux. Ct scan diagnosed me id copd. I am in doubt. Is it possible it is wrongly detected, do i need a repeat scan to confirm?
I was diagnose today with mild emphysema by my nurse practitioner based on a CT Chest exam alone that stated mild emphysematous changes. My PFT came back normal. I’m waiting for a consult with a pulmonologist. Could she have diagnosed me prematurely? This diagnoses was given prior to PFT results. I am no longer experiencing SOB. I’m tolerating exercises and do not use an inhaler. I’m thinking my SOB was due to anxiety attack.
Hi, Thank you for your informative videos. I have been informed in the last 3 weeks, by 2 asthma nurses and a GP, that a maximum of 20% of smokers will develop COPD, that COPD is mostly due to environmental issues and a genetic deficiency - Alpha-1 antitrypsin deficiency, not smoking. My asthma nurse asked me not to share this information ???
I just got diagnosed with small airway disease and copd stage 2 is sucks real bad even with the medication I can’t stop coughing and my ribs feel like that are broken and my chest is getting bear hugged
I had asthma since 19 yrs age, but never smoked, and yet I t has been dveloped to COPD. And had office work clean environment only. Never disposed to dust, chemicals etc. Did doctors failed to help me?
Any condition which causes hypoxemia in Blood Low oxygen levels can lead to clubbing e.g Congenital cardiovascular defects, interstitial lung diseases, COPD, bronchiectasis and lung cancer. Clubbing is not specific to COPD. But it is usually found in patients with COPD.
