I made a spiced plum jam with green plums that I got off a neighborhood tree that was hanging over a sidewalk. I steeped cardamom and cinnamon and nutmeg in some water and then used it in the jam. It was really yummy. I prefer it with purple plums, but green were all I could get for free this year.
I made red plum jam a few years ago when Kroger had red plums on sale for cheap. I have always used pectin. I thought that was supposed to be in there. Thanks for sharing.
I just made some the other day with this same recipe. It's soooo good!! Unfortunately I don't have a plum source and the wild ones didn't set on this year so I had to go the grocery store route.
Hi friend! Please find out where they got blue plum seeds or trees if you don't mind. I've searched everywhere here in the states but the blue plums are so good! Thank you!!!
Beautiful plum jam. We used to have plum trees at our old house.

Italian prunes are my favorite variety of plum. Beautiful no fuss tree and so super delicious. Makes great plum sauce and hand pies.

I didn't know I could use my ball jar lid turner on a regular jar rim and lid. I only use it with my tatler lids. How cool is that...thank you so much

The trees were there when they bought the house.
