Very pretty Mrs Gay., this is something i enjoied when i was growing up. We had what my mom called a plum thicket in the back yard, it was really a whole bunch of plum trees that gave us gallons of red plums, we children had to get out there and pick them. It was a lot of work but it was worth it. Mammas plum jelly was some good stuff!🙏❤️🙂

Just happened upon this today. I've got 8 quarts of plum juice frozen, some pulp in it yet. I didn't have time or the ambition this summer to make jelly but I'm planning to this winter.
I would want to strain the pulp out? Your video will really help. I wish that 65 years ago I would have paid more attention to mother making plum jams and jelly.

That jelly looks beautiful, you made a lot, do you still have some left or did you give it all away Gay. I have never had plum jelly, I do apple and grape, believe it or not the concord grape is my favorite but that won't be happening around here until end of Sept., early Oct. same with the apple. Do you ever test it to make sure it gels before you can it, I do just to be on the safe side since I had a whole batch of apple that did not set for some unknown reason, but every one had problems that year.
