NO PECTIN Plum Jam Recipe

- We want to preserve every bit of summer we can, sticking the pantry with the finest local ingredients. After a trip to a farm we brought home a gallon of cherry plums and set to work to preserve their zesty flavor in a jam. I used a water bath canning method to seal the jars.

Yummy! Not plum season yet here, but almost! Thanks for sharing!!! 😁 I'll have to keep it handy
last week i made this with 4lb of plums and it was delicious. i only used 5 cups of sugar. i'm in the middle of doing 8lbs of plums, going to up the sugar to 6cups per 4lbs. next up, fermented dill pickles. any suggestions?
It all sounds wonderful!! I haven’t made dill pickles but I do like a good pickling spice blend from Azure. Happy fermenting! 🌻

So good! That's exactly how I have been enjoying it.... with gf crackers!!
Plum jam is my favourite. I just make jam by boiling it until you get to the soft ball consistancy. We like jam with bread and butter the best but I will try it with cheddar cheese.

@@MargaretUIUC We were in Deadwood this past week and drove by some pretty concentrated smoky areas of the Salmon fire. I think everything calmed down around Klamath while we were gone.
Looks so good!😋. I just made plum butter last week-it did take a long time to reduce but it’s very tasty! Went for a fresher version just a little sugar and lemon as we already have tons of apple butter with the yummy fall spices!
