In Diamond guitars defence I was never gonna buy their guitars before this video and my thoughts have changed. I’ll definitely not buy one of their guitars.

I got a diamond from 2017. Great guitar. I've been wondering why I haven't seen anybody reviewing their product. Now I know 🤔

I bought a Diamond guitar a few years ago, prior to the change in ownership (transparent black Barchetta). It had a made in Korea sticker, was absolutely gorgeous and flawless, and made me determined that my next guitar would also be a diamond. I kept my eye on the ice blue Monarch, which I thought looked amazing but it was out of stock for 2 years. Finally, it showed in stock one day and I had a work bonus to blow, so I ordered it. I had no idea the company changed until I received it. It had a made in China sticker (no big deal as long as the quality is there) and the fret ends were nowhere near as good as the Barchetta. The main issue was that it was freaking green! So much so that I took pictures, loaded them into image editing software to see the hex value and it was as green as an emerald. I contacted Diamond and was told "we started making those again and yeah, they have been coming out greener than the picture." That was like saying a tree frog is a little greener than snow. They have a no refund policy, even though it was clearly not my fault, but they ended up offering to trade for a different guitar. I settled for the tele model, which I didn't really want, but was the only one I would have accepted without feeling like I completely wasted money. It took a few weeks to get it to me (I had to pay for shipping both ways), and when I got it, it also didn't match the picture. The site shows a nice blue stain where the wood grain pops through. This was basically just blue paint, no grain, and the fret board had file marks at every fret where someone did a too-hard fret dressing. My aim at the time was to treat myself to a "pretty" blue guitar, and both were failures. They offered no resolution, so I sold it on Reverb for half the total price I initially spent and vowed to never to deal with them again.

Phil, thanks for breaking up our weekly session into clips so I can see what I am most interested in learning about. I love the whole thing, just don't always have time, and I am finding that I am watching more guitar UA-cam than I am actually playing guitar which has 4o stop✌️

Yamaha FG seems to stand for “ForGotten”! Which is a real shame as Yamaha make amazing guitars at all price points. I grew up learning on Yamaha acoustics. They were way better than anything Fender or Gibson could churn out at the prices I was paying for my Yamaha’s.

I think Diamond Guitars needs a lesson in marketing. UA-cam is the first p!ace to go to research the potential purchase of a new guitar. That was a huge blunder on the part of Diamond Guitars. Their 'Post Malone' comment was asinine.

Not to shit on Phil as I've been a fan of his for about a decade, but he most certainly doesn't have the reach and influence that Post Malone does. Post Malone could probably singlegandedly start a boom in new players(and thus sales) if he released a quality song with guitar in it.

The company sounds terrible and uniformed. Even if they didn't know who you were, they should have researched your youtube reach prior to responding. That said, Post Malone actually is a decent guitar player, despite his fame as a pop artist.
