But Gary said Adam was a great guy for the gesture.

Geoff Shaw that's escapism and not the real world. if we don't learn from history we're doomed to repeat it. the world will never get better like that. Well, maybe it will in Japan. They're doing ok as a society and have a fairly deep seated denial of WW2
Geoff Shaw if that's what you think then that's fine by me. I'm not going to argue it. Hell, you're one second ignoring history and the next trying to spin it. They have a lower crime rate than we do. They have a stronger work force and hell even work ethic than we do. They have a far better education system than we do. They're over all healthier than we are. But yeah, what you said because you heard how the refer to themselves as grass eaters and meat eaters somewhere at some time. We'll ignore our own hurricanes, tornadoes, floods, chemical plants blowing up, trains derailing, and over all shooting each other up. I bet they wish they were us.

Adam Ant made some great albums. This song just shows one style of his vast musical influences. I took the blues, punk, new wave, and R and B and mashed it all together. I feel like he was put in a mold and thrown away as the next best thing. I respect the hell out of Adam.
Adam Ant sure was a good looking man back then. He can dance too. He also did some acting as well. This song has a great beat. They don't make em' like this anymore. Bye MTV.

There were lots of friends, live concerts, clubs, dancing, drinking, bars, more concerts, watching band rehearsals in friends' garages & sound studies, bon fires at beaches, more drinking, housedrinking, Harley's & too much fun.
Being an adult hasn't always been easy, but it's beat the hell out of my childhood.
Waited until almost 30yo before having any kids allowed for lots of time for fun before the extra responsibilities parenting brings.😊😊😢
Damn how I loved him back in the day! He's the whole package
you miss a fiction in an imaginary land that never was. go revisit contemporary publications and sources and take off the rose colored glasses.

He has kept me happily bopping in my Air cast shoe booty. Weaning out of it, but played this song and danced, kind of
On my way to see this Cat in Chicago right now. At 52 I am mad excited to see him. Yay!❤❤❤🎉🎉🎉🎉imo party with all the drankin and smoking for bruv!😂?bruh! Keep Rockin Adam Ant.❤
A fan since 1982. He’s a gorgeous and talented man.
I remember listening to this when I was in high school and my mom (who grew up in the 30s and 40s) heard it. She came in and said she really liked it and started dancing to it - blew my 15 year old mind!
I was in my second foster home when I found MTV and first video I got to watch was Adam Ant this very same song, I thought he was cool and wild with his look and his music, so different than what I had been use to, this is my favorite song of his....I'll forever love his music!!!!
A legend… man I was rocking listening to him as a teenager. Now I’m thinking where the hell did my teenager years go.
i grow up listen to the 80s. and this adam is awesome. a beautiful human being with a beautiful soul and kind and caring also. saw them a few times when i was on visit to the uk. just awesome chap. we love you adam. take care bud
Bye MTV.
still hot!
Yes he was in the movie Nomads along with Josie Cotton
Yes he is! And he walked Paul McCartney’s dog. In an interview, he mentioned the dog was a sheepdog, with a name something like “Martha.”
Carol Munro so Beautiful 😍
Great 80s hit and I lived that Decade best Decade Ever!!!
The 60s were pretty good too. If you can remember them.....
I waited ever so patiently to see or hear Adam Ant. They didn't play him enough. The man melts me
Good looking With Mental healf always the case
+Holly Golightly: I love your screen name. Audrey Hepburn Forever.
He is so gorgeous and sexy!
Here is one of my favorite song from the 1980’s and Adam Ant and his band does a wonderful job of singing and playing this hit song.
Caroline Munro is still incredible after all these years. For those of you who don't recall her, she was in The Golden Voyage of Sinbad and The Spy Who Loved Me
And loads of Lambs Navy Rum adverts.
And a terrible godawful sci-fi flick with marjo gortner called star something
@@timhoovermusicman It's funny that Starcrash came out in 1978 and in 1979 Star Wars was released.
@@mikewazowski350 Star Wars (now subtitled Episode IV: A New Hope) was released May 25, 1977. I remember going to see it multiple times in the Summer of 1977. Starcrash came out December 10, 1978. I didn't see it until a went to a friend's house where they had Cinemax (aka Skinemax) probably in the early 1980s.
No doubt she was one of the most beautiful model/actress in her day. Colin Blunstone, the lead singer of The Zombies, dated her seriously for a few years in the late 60s/early 70s. When their relationship floundered, he wrote this wonderful song about her ("Caroline Goodbye") which appeared on his amazing 1971 album called "One Year". ua-cam.com/video/53MR4OmI05g/v-deo.html
My wife and I are in our early 60s. I remember this song like it just came out yesterday. She says she never heard of him or it. Which is weird because she watched a lot of MTV. Which is where I believe I first saw this video. MTV started in 81. This song was released in 82.
This video was on heavy rotation on MTV, it's what prompted me to go out and buy his albums.
I used to make my mom play this when she picked me up from preschool. This was my first favorite song.
I want my MTV! And by that I mean the MTV of 20 years ago that played great music and felt like something fresh and amazing. Oh time machine... sigh.
That was more like 1981, so 35 years...
Well thanks for the correction. I was just generalizing really. But there was good stuff 20 years ago as well.
+synapticflow I hope that my comment didn't come off rude. I wasn't trying to be :)
It's the internet. One gets used to expecting the worst out of everyone. It's hard to determine emotion from text. So my mind immediately jumped to... "Oh another person who just wants to correct someone as a way of also making fun of them."
Sorry for misunderstanding you.
You have class for even caring enough to clarify.
+synapticflow You got your time machine right here..any song you can think of at your fingertips! remember how you used to have to sit through dozens of MTV videos to get to watch the ones you liked?
great song. that's Graham stark Peter seller's friend as the butler. he appeared with him in several pink panther films. From Michael from Yorkshire and proud of it.
Totally agree. He was in quite a lot of films in the 60/70's, and appeared in a few episodes of Benny Hill. I'm from Yorkshire also.........and proud of it. Stay safe.
Lol...I remember "Return of the Pink Panther" where Christopher Plummer kept breaking his fingers
Also the secretary is Caroline Munro, she played in alot of movies in that time era. She was a Bond girl and played in alot of horror movies! :)
not forgeting Dandy Nichols of Till Death Us Do Part as the cleaner.
Im 30 years old & i just want to thank my mom for putting me on to 80s music i had the biggest crush on him when i was a little girl
Always liked this song. Pure eighties.
This is still brilliant nearly 40 years later.
1982?
Now this is music. Adam Ant rocked the 80s..still love em today
Such amazing singer and actor too. Love his style too in fashion and makeup also 🥰🥰
The 80’s Ruled!!
You know it!!!
This is actually a great track.
Thank you for the memories here. His first solo single and only number one hit as a solo artist here in Britain in 1982. Still sounds great for sure today!! Well done of course!!
NO ONE as bigger in the world of music in1982 than Adam and his Ants.
The dance down the hallway and kicking the door open alone is epic!
ua-cam.com/video/Fyg3gR6z4b4/v-deo.html 😂😂👍🏻👍🏻
Agree
If the beat in this song doesn't make you want to get up and dance then you're not alive.
Not sure who I fancy most..Adam or his PA..definitely Adam 💋💋💋♥️🇬🇧😘
2:50 i always loved her hair ❤❤❤
He's what Wolverine's metal is made out of!! AdamAntium!!

THIS IS THE JOKE POLICE
THAT JOKE WAS TO FUNNY
There is even a special marvel comic that makes this joke.
@@abigailslade3824 oh? I'd like to see this!! 😂 Any reference, year?
He definitely had that unique swag.
Saw him in concert last night... He's still got it!
Bring him back, stand and deliver in 22! Wow!
I don't remember the 80s at all, because I was born in 1988, but this song was part of my childhood. Mom loved Adam Ant/ Adam and the Ants. "Prince Charming" was one of her favorites in the 80s. One of mine too. Still love this music video.
Truly the best looking man I’ve ever seen. I’m still in love with him to this day. These 80’s videos I might be obsessed watch them all hundreds of times maybe more❤️❤️❤️
I admit that is one ridiculously beautiful man...
@@princezzpuffypants6287 I’m so in love with him then and now.
When I see they are using 80s song in movies and series, I say OH YEAHHHHH best decade!
Totally.
@@mallshopper8948 I think tbh it's s rose tinted glasses thing- having grown up through the 80s sure the music was cool, but all the other shit going on made you want to go back to a purer time when politicians weren't such obvious self-serving wankers and we didn't all fear getting carried away and "WWIII" starting with another crisis in politics straight out of the 60s. It wasn't an easy time to grow up in and of course good art needs suffering, the more painful a decade is the better the art is. although Brexit was a shit show. :P ua-cam.com/video/pO1HC8pHZw0/v-deo.html
I was a DJ and specialised in the 80’s music I loved playing Goody Two Shoes and Adam Ant was a real doll xxx
AA was FINE back in the day. Oh yeah, this is a great song!!!
When they set up the stage for a performance of this by Adam ! I loved it .... so memorable!
We need more music and dress sence like this...life looks so much more fun back then
It was!!!
Do it
It surely was
I remember listening to this song when I was 14 loved it just like all the Adam and the ants tracks

I Want my MTV
When I was in my second foster home is when I first found Adam Ant, fell in love with his style of music!!!! One day in school all of us kids went and put war paint on our faces it was so cool till the teachers got mad and sent us all to wsh it off or get kicked out, that was junior high 6th grade.
I was in my late teens when this came out (M TV) I'm 57 now and I still think that chic is smokin hot, 80s hair and all. LOL
2020, and still lovin' it. Had it on vinyl. Damn, I'm getting old.
Don' worry..
If we recognize the stuff from your youth in a museum THEN we are old..
Oh.. Moment..
😬🥺😭
🙂
Still fun.
You’re getting better with time😘
No sweetie you don't get old we get better
“Had it on vinyl” is perfect.
I miss the 80's music fun, loving, exciting, and full of talent
Love it! The Butler has been in a ton of Blake Edwards films, just adds to the " tongue in cheek" vibe.
Adam ant was in love with the black Julie brown an MTV vj
I loved him in Victor Victoria
Johnny Hashbarger. Downtown Julie Brown...loved her! Did not like the other Julie Brown, who was supposed to be funny but wasn’t.
Wasn't he also Paul Bearer (The Undertaker's manager) in WWE?
One of the best entertainers of all time (not to mention, totally beautiful to look at)
Loved this stuff, mostly into rock but this guy was hip , loved his fashion, that kind of music was/is needed, had to hear this after it played in my head one morning at work!! Good to know he is up and about! Thanks for these upbeat, coo,l jivey tunes that make us remember less turbulent times!!
Love it! Back in the day when everything MTV played was pure magic
I get the 80’s feels for reals when I hear this song. March on Adam 🐜
I like those classic music back in the late 70's, 80's, 90's
Fabulous in 82 - Wonderful in 24

Happy birthday Adam!
He's so hot! This song never gets old. I wonder if Johnny Depp thinks of Adam Ant when he gets dressed every morning.
lol
ayngemac : Depp obviously used Adam Ant’s persona when he came up with Jack Sparrow...
Jack Sparrow you Crook!!!
guyverjay :lol...I can see that too
Don't tell me Depp didn't get influenced in anyway by Adam Ant he just kept quiet about it @guyverjay
Ok. Iam 50yrs old. I love Adam ant!
