Gorgeous....A work of art.
I remeber when I bought my first Dunnett for around $500. At the time I thought it was enough to pay but given the competition it offered tremendous value for money. Dunnett is still my favourite drum manufacturer. I own a heep of Zildjians and adore the brand, but I think the price of this drum is ridicuous and you'd have to be crazy to purchase one. So as a result I'm sure they'll sell out soon lol!
I checked, it already has sold out lol
@@Matty_B_plays_drums Cheers Matty
It's no different than limited edition expensive cars. They are not for everyone.
Can't wait for mine to arrive :)
Magnifico.🌡️🌡️🌡️🌡️🌡️🌡️
Amazing!
HAPPY NEW YEAR TO Y'ALL!!
That’s probably the most versatile drum I’ve ever heard. Gorgeous. I might need to sell all of my snares and get THE one.
I didn't hear any versatility--just thumping backbeats--very poor demonstration.
What versatile? I heard just some low tunning, sounding like a drum out of the box. Like a 100$ snare drum.
Can't wait to see the reviews on this when the dust settles. 😈
You thinking of getting one Klauth hah?
@@jamescassidy4045 well....I have been known to go heavy 😎
@@klauth_Yksyn Muhahahaha!

Wondering what you think of this drum.
Looks and sounds like a beautiful musical instrument. Would love to see and hear a video with various tunings and time stamps for quick referencing. I’m sure it weighs a lot!!! So it would probably not be my everyday gig snare. The drum tuning key is a nice touch, although I can imagine after many years in a studio, it could start rattling and become an issue. Smart to be aware of what device are you listening through UA-cam doesn’t exactly allow for a genuine audiophile experience. And to listen through your phone, even with good headphones, even with a smart pre-amp - forget about it haha. I think it’s smart to manage expectations and see/hear it for what it is. It’s a cool novelty item, probably out of reach for most hard working drummers. I like it because I love the pursuit of excellence and pushing the boundaries. Well done 👍
Just saw this going through the tuning ranges (but without time stamps)

Just another snare to put on the rack
merry christmas Zildjian
I need another snare drum.
$5200🤣
nice!
This video is not about the sound, it's just a presentation of the product.
Excellent work Batman 👍
Sounds Good IS IT Loud 🔊📢
It is a pity that I will not be able to buy such a wonderful musical instrument in Russia. And I would like to buy three pieces.
I'll be honest, i want that so bad. If only i can afford that. 😢
I would order a Ludwig Black Beauty made from Zildjian Alloy.
When musical instrument companies put out limited edition expensive gear, it's always funny to see certain people get triggered at the price. Of course it's expensive. So are high end cars which are also not for everyone.
Wonderful. This is the closest live snare drum that sounds like an original Linn LM-1 meet DMX - the irony :) lol
purchased! This will make up for my mistake of selling the 380th version! This drum is total sex man! woo!!!
🤤
The greatest drum ever built in the last 400 years! 😍
nonsense
Who is Ladus drums ?
Latos
@@johnkleemeier5085 Never heard of them.
It would be nice if Zildjian offered it through a raffle.
Linda caixa e no vídeo o som está maravilhoso! Por ser edição limitada deve ter um valor agregado bem alto ! A Paiste mandou um abraço!!!
😅😅😅😮
the precision welded eyelets on the rim is a nice touch but if one breaks then what? slap a $28 triple flange on it?
Good eye... Nice to see people are paying attention to detail. 👍
I bet it`s a great drum but that brushed finish makes it look like its place it`s in a beer brewery or something. Bronze looks best when in its raw state, with that beautiful aged patina.
Guys, do not pay retail for this drum. There are 400 of them.
these arenot nonna br fr discounts on this it's eiter gannabe blow outs fro one the destribuers, for whateverreson,.
a ZILDJIAN SNARE DRUM?
Yes let’s all remember $4000. Did everybody hear that clearly $4000 so in 2023 if you want this snare drum you’re gonna need to shell out $4000. to me that sounds like a lot of money. How about you?
In fairness, 4K isn't a lot of money any more... unless you don't have it. which is most people these days.
If you buy a piece jewelry you can easily spend 5,000-10,000 and lose 50% of your money if you trade it in. But I don't think a drum from a no name company is worth $4,000. 400 is a lot of snares to unload into the market.
Agreed, gunna be hard to sell a drum at this price point that's never been on a single hit record. nor is it endorsed by a famous artist(as of yet) cool that they offered it though.@@femaledeer
@@femaledeer here’s my point I can get a sonar Behl brass or a Tama Behl brass made from symbol material and there are 1000 2000 maybe three and there from a company that you know knows what they’re doing +50 to 100 years who knows about the Zilin one, righteven pasty makes one but $4000 I can buy an entire drum set from DW with toned shells in a color. I love with all the hardware right now in this time of the year and where we’re at in the world for snare is just a little ridiculous.
Well we can thank Biden for the inflation.
A 5mm thick cast shell?
No thanks. Did they mention it weighs 50lbs? Lol
Would have helped the sale if, " they" offered a stand that could hold it Propper.
Seeing as I can get a similar snare for considerably less this seems about as poor an idea as that concrete snare some company made. Also at around the $300 price point you can get just about any snare to sound good. I highly doubt anyone will use this snare on any recordings.
Maybe written specs/tech data would be preferable over narration , it would be nice to actually hear the snare clearly
exactly, and not just thumping backbeats.
😂Hopefully this 1 doesn't crack!
I would think with the history of the last one, "they" would offer a warranty with this one? 🤔hmmm...slippery slope.
$3,999.99
If you're publishing a demonstration video of a $4,000 snare drum you need to make sure that it sounds like a DRUM, and not like an Amazon box that's been left out in the rain. At least you should put the segments with it tuned more like a drum at the beginning, rather that buried in the middle of the video.
I think it sounds incredible, like a modern drum should. Don’t be a Karen just because you can’t afford it. When you put out your $4000 drum you can advertise it however you want. Oh, but you don’t have any content on your channel, so you’re just a guy sitting at home complaining instead of actually out doing something. Got it.
@@RustyKnorr That snare sounds exactly how I want my snare to sound !! This will be an incredible snare, charged with a lot of meaning. It is a piece of art !
Not everyone wants to be in a 311 cover band.
@@totigerus What is a 311 cover band ?
Yes, low tuned snare drums do sound like a box that`s been left in the rain, and that`s great. It`s a sound that has its place in music, it`s a great sound along with the high pitched frying pan hit by a wooden spoon one.
Worth $699.99 every year before the 400th.....
Don’t let your senses deceive you. It’s not a drum, it’s an investment.
Oh dear.
the noble & Cooley one two decades ago was way better looking than this industrial one
Wish I could hear the snare drum from somebody who could actually play instead of just thumping backbeats--there's so much more to a drum--I did not hear a complete sound spectrum. Give it to a symphonic player or to Steve Smith or Dave Weckl , or Peter Erskine -someone who can show the vitality and complex tones and true versatility that I hope this snare has for $6000.
Really wish that guy wasn't talking through the whole gosh damn demonstration!
ua-cam.com/video/ZuZ3WrwYlaY/v-deo.htmlsi=raCO2_bf37DDWJBg
4k for this snare, 4k.....
😆😆😆🤣🤣🤣🤣....I use your A's and K's, but $4000? I will stick with my Black Beauty.
It’s finished in stainless steel?!?!? Yeah, that’s going to be a no for me, dawg. Lame!
For 4k$! Don't forget that little tidbit too! Haha
It's not "finished in stainless steel". It has machined 304 stainless hardware with an "electro-polish" finish
@petheato3291 still dude, IDGAS! 4k is an un-Godly amount of money for a snare! You could get a Tama Starphonic, or a Ludwig Raw Brass, or even a Pork Pie Brass Patina for a *fraction* of the cost, and it'll sound just as good, if not better! Don't be a sucker!
@petheato3291 if that is the case, that does make me feel better that shell isn’t finished in stainless steel. The sweetwater website does say finish: stainless steel. It’s a bit misleading @blakenunndrums exactly! Still, at $4k, I expect everything to be brass. At least, DW got that right with their limited release cast bronze snare drums.
gee, how much is zildjian charging for this over rated thing....?
$10,000!?!?! yikes
Absolute nonsense.
Sounded like crap to me.
how a bout doing a 400th limited edition Cymbal as a Armenian Cymbal makers. not a snare
Not impressed. It doesn't sound or look good.
I mean I’m sure it can sound real nice and it looks kinda cool and unique, but I see what you mean I could get a real nice snare for a 1/4th of the price
Nothing
Sounds good! Not four thousand dollars good, though.
