Gentlemen, I love what you guys are doing with this fun program and helping me relive the good ol' days. Genuine conversation is a good tonic to have in these times.
That is a true story that Louie's Walkman was stolen. Louie played that tape so much that it started to get chewed up by the Walkman ... the wire on his headphones were frayed - and he had them wrapped in electrical tape. Why anybody would have taken that Walkman (that looked as if it had been dragged with a chain behind a pick-up truck) was a mystery. They took that and left his cues - so I guess who ever took it knew exactly what they were taking. lol
Mike Sigel and Buddy Hall during my era with the two greatest tight pocket players there were don’t think for one minute they couldn’t be any of these players today 🎱
Hi Mike. I was the guy from Indiana who took Louie to the hypnotist. It was my idea before I took him to Arlington. I think we went to Jack n Jill billiards, but not sure. I think it was 1974 or 75. You and Buddy both lost 1,000 trying be give Louie the 7 ball. I held the post. Best wishes to you and thanks for everything you have done for pool. Richard B.
I still have 2 or 3 shirts from the Pro Billiards Tour. I had a good friend that played in those events. Man, it was fun watching those guys in their prime.
This is great. Keep it up. Even those stories about Mike Lindell. Even if it's not a pool topic it's nice to hear little bits and pieces of info from these guys like that.
I grew up in monessen Pa and Pittsburgh John took me under his wing for a couple years and I remember a time he and I went to Ohio to the Glass city nine ball tournament and Pretty boy Floyd came up and ask John to play some nineball for 10 and John said we can play some back pocket nine for 10 and pretty boy laughed and said hell no and just walked away, I ask John why he didn’t just play him it’s only 10 dollars and John laughed and said no it was $10,000. John was up in age but still had the respect of the players as Varner and Hall and cornbread red made their way over to our table to say hi and how it was good to see him out. Players respect players. I was 17 and didn’t truly understand how good he was until other players told me stories about him. He was one of the nicest men I ever met.
I’ve been bustin Rogans balls about getting involved in pool and using his big $ and big $ friends to help with sponsorship etc…..He is finally listening nowadays
hy kim do you remember back in the 80's the monk in sacramento you played him one pocket for two days straight me you gypsy danny and felipe from stockton we all put up 500 and left form stockton to play the monk we end up breaking even after two days of playing that little man the monk was a banking machine lol the 80's that was a great time of my life
Yes, Sigel would interrupt Joe too, geez, he cant help himself, just has to have all of the attention, and pulls his own chain constantly, We know you could play Mike, geez
I know he died too young, but recall Mike S saying he and Mike Carrelo and someone else were running around robbing everyone. I grew up in Tallahassee and watch him running racks at $100 a rack he was up to 8 and the backers were tossing hundreds into a basket on the side. I had to leave, heard he ran 12 and 13 (2 different folks) Most amazing I witnessed personally. Heard he was quite a one pocket player, was he a straight pool player as well?
Kim when you came to ho tx on road I made my first bet on you in my life you destroyed players I was wondering did you and swannee play I met him in Calif in the navy he passed nice guy

I am a big pool fan , however if you start promoting mike pillow i will be out.
Mike, you are the greatest left handed player that has ever lived. People today have no clue about your greatness during your prime. God bless you.
Didn’t Mike win 8 majors in a row? How can that ever be beaten?
