It's "He will come" and the he was Ray's father John Kinsella as this movie is actually about a father and son connecting again even through death by their love of baseball.
Watching “how high” (lol) and they parody this scene. It’s always been “if you build it, they will come” but apparently our Mandela time machines have been in overdrive for about 5 years now.
What I remember is this. "If you build it, they will come" but at the end of the movie when he meets his father he then says, "if you build it he will come" then his father walks out of the corn and they play catch. That's how I remember it. And for me it was always Bernstein bears, Not Berenstain Bears and Neither Berenstein bears but was/is The BERNSTEIN BEARS.

@Christine Walters You need to explain it to these people because they simply REFUSE TO WRAP THEIR HEADS AROUND IT. Either through stubbornness, lack of openness or lack of the ability, mentally. I LIKE TO THINK OF IT LIKE THIS. Let's imagine a scenario, a theory: WHEN THEY WERE WRITING FIELDS OF DREAMS, there was a meeting about whether it should be "they" or "he". Certain people in the room had different opinions, "They" makes sense, as the family is poor, they have to sell the farm - and he builds this crazy baseball diamond, making them more broke. But at the end of the movie, "They" - show up, the people, driving to come see the baseball game. They will pay to see it. They are no longer poor, and all worked out. And some people in the room liked "He", as it was about his Father coming to see him at the baseball diamond. SO THE WRITERS & MAJOR PLAYERS TOOK A VOTE! BOOM!!! 2 Different distinct Universes created!!! They are PARALLEL UNIVERSES - the only difference is in one universe they chose "He", and in the other they chose "They". If you can wrap your head around the possibility of this happening, then you are half way there to understanding how this phenomenon could exist. PART 2 is understanding that at some point these 2 parallel universes merged back together into ONE Universe. No one can explain why or how this happened, but this theory is based around String Theory. Look it up! It's interesting stuff. Or don't, it's OKAY for people to have different opinions, but to just flat out say someone is wrong is really immature, and close minded. If you don't want to be a part of discussions that open your mind to new ways of thinking, then simply don't participate. To try to shut people's minds down because you don't get it or you don't agree achieves nothing. Okay, be civil, open your mind and keep comments in the realm of being friendly & kind.
i was just watching ' How High ' and early on in that movie they are watching 'field of dreams' on the tv and it is the original 'they' version.you actually hear them say that part it may be imposed in for sound but you get the gist they made in reference to the movie so it is still original, like bibles changed but you can still find original versions in things like bibles for dummies or somthing in reference to.
@@iwan060480 It's okay, I guess you probably come from Dimension 1217 or maybe even 1216... exactlly, it's a "saying", like a game of telephone, people change sayings to what their minds prefer them to sound like - e.g. "could care less" instead of "couldn't care less"
Verifiable, certified, mandela effect! At the time I wondered, 'Who are they? He's missing his dad!' Then, when many players arrived, it made sense, and his dad came later. My memory serves me well - I know this to be true. I also know that nelson mandela died in a prison hospital, some years before his release and presidency! These two proofs, I stand by.
How can he die years before his presidency. And those were supposed to be opposing Mandelas. It was one or the other. How can he become pres if he died in prison.
I have experienced tons of Mandela Effects. I also have also always been exposed to constant TV news, including international news. I was really surprised when I heard that Nelson Mandela had been president of South Africa. Although I don't specifically have a memory of him dying in prison, it really did feel like he had disappeared from my reality and then showed up again alive and having been President of S.A. Oh and as far as this movie, it was "they" for me. And when a local mall was expanding years ago they had all these spots for new stores with the words "if you build it, they will come" as part of the advertising.
I recall as a small child my best friend and I would seldom agree on what happened last week, or some event. We always had personal memories that shared some details but had others that didn't match up. I've come to the conclusion that our memories are so faulty that eye witness testimony shouldn't be allowed in court!
Sorry you guys. I clearly remember that movie saying "if you build it, HE will come". And at some point they speculated HE was Shoeless Joe Jackson, but at the end realized it was Ray's dad. The movie was based on book "Shoeless Joe", so they were throwing you off to think HE was Joe.
Hm. ... I always thought Joe Jackson was a musician that was "stepping out into the night", and that's why he was shoeless,... so he could tip-toe out without making any noise. .. 😋
Audio has changed , but the title is the same as when i came across this video back then. This version is a whisper the old version is more louder authoritative voice
This is exactly why I don't trust most people in this current reality. So many people still think it always said "He Will Come". Can't you see that different realities are merging? Look at all these people that still remember "They Will Come". Please use your brain. I always remembered "They Will Come". It's no misremembering nonsense that people come up with. THEY WILL COME!
maybe back in the 80's the movie had additional scene/alternative that for some reason (maybe to use for 2016 psyop) they edited into it later. Strange things afoot
It was "they will come", referring to the baseball team, when I first saw it. I remember it so well. The universe has decided to change it, along with Dolly's braces in Moonraker (which are now missing). Weird stuff.
I was even willing to even admit that I had heard it wrong, and it had always been "he will come", even though I clearly remember it as they, however the Dolly'b braces thing is the one which makes it legit me. There is no ifs and's or butt's about this one. SHE HAD BRACES! The scene doesn't even make sense without them. Something's fucky-- Bubbles
"They" = Beginning of the Movie "They" come (baseball players show up in the middle of the movie) "He" = toward the end of the movie. "He" is his dad. At the end of the move it goes back to "they" will come, as the camera pans out with all the cars driving in.
The scene that really gets me is when the hitchhiker is in the backseat and tells Ray and Terry "my name is Archie Graham." Frank Whaley was absolutely perfect in that role.
Interesting that the video was posted in 2013 and the title was and still remains with "They" and not "He". That means chances are that until that point of time it was as we all remember "They will come" and only after that 2013 point of time and beyond the sentence changed from "They" to "He" . It only changed after that time of 2013 and into 2014-2015 exactly when everyone started talking about the mandala effect phenomenon.
There is a sign at my local baseball field it clearly says if you build it THEY will come.... Why would the city build a big ass sign saying the wrong thing... makes no sense
Here's another parody from 2011 using the real phrase. ua-cam.com/video/mHGPOtl3eaA/v-deo.html No one knows why this is happening. Only that it is. Forest Gump, Interview with a Vampire, Mr Rodger Neighborhood, the list goes on. Philip K Dick thought we were all in a computer simulation. Most non-religious tend to go with parallel universe merging. Time travel explanation doesn't really work.
If you think it was ever "they" then the ending makes no sense. "After the game, Shoeless Joe invites Mann to enter the corn; he accepts and disappears into it. Ray is angry at not being invited, but Shoeless Joe rebukes him: if he really wants a reward for having sacrificed so much, then he had better stay on the field. Shoeless Joe then glances towards a player at home plate, saying "If you build it, he will come." The player then removes his mask, and Ray recognizes him to be John as a young man. Shocked, Ray realizes that "ease his pain" referred to John [his deceased father], and believes that Shoeless Joe was the voice all along; however, Joe implies that the voice was Ray himself. Joe then disappears into the corn. Ray introduces John to Annie and Karin. As he heads towards the corn, Ray asks him if he wants to play a game of catch. They begin to play and Annie happily watches. Meanwhile, hundreds of cars can be seen approaching the baseball field, fulfilling Karin and Mann's prophecy that people will come to watch baseball."
Ok who is going around editing all the Field of dreams scenes where the voice said if you build it THEY will come? What’s this HE shit? This shit isn’t funny anymore man.
I have never seen this movie, nor do I know the plot. I have heard the famous line being said with "They". Now that I've actually heard the line, I'm 10000% sure it's "He will come".
Has anyone sat down and watched this movie since this? I think this may not be a Mandela Effect. I think in the beginning of the movie the voice says he will come then later it changes to they will come when James Earl Jones sees it at the baseball game.
It was always "if you build it THEY will come." WTH???!!! I was watching a video on the Mandela effect and didn't believe it, so I came here to see for myself. C3PO from Star Wars now has a silver leg, I remember him being ALL gold. I'm still very skeptical.
I totally agree with you. "THEY will come", doggone it! C3PO was all gold, and Dolly had braces in Moonraker, and it was BerenstEIN Bears. My BB book from1967 has changed to BerenstAIN, freaking out myself and my wife too.
It has to do with time travel and the butterfly effect. Go back in time to the past and change one thing and minute changes begin to ripple forward in time. Eventually larger changes start occurring and people start to notice...which is why this phenomenon is called the 'Mandela Effect'. The date of Mandela's death changed radically by several years and the phenomenon was outed. But here's the catch... You can go back in time and change the tangible 'material world' but you can't go back and change the intangible 'SPIRITUAL WORLD' of human consciousness. It can't be done. You see, you can't cheat God. You might think you can go back in time and change all your wrongdoings but you're wrong. Every thought and deed is written in spiritual stone...and our essential human consciousness remains unchanged. Likewise, faster-than-light travel, (which has the effect of reversing the aging process) can extend your lifetime and allow for interstellar travel...but it's also a spiritual trap. The longer you live, the more you rot on the spiritual vine. Then you're stuck. Once you've lived through a couple of lifetimes, you've racked up so much sin that you don't dare to die because of the hellish spiritual backlash. You're literally forced to keep building FTL capable ships! Eventually you run out of material resources though and you are forced to travel to other planets and rob other races of their resources before they discover FTL technology (and subsequently Time Travel). If the denizens of the planet are too savage or too underdeveloped to be useful, you simply add your own DNA to theirs and start developing a human-alien hybrid capable of taking orders and aiding in the theft of resources. This is most likely what happened to the Neanderthals...and it's why we're here having this discussion.
Wrong. It was always he. It refers to Ray’s father. James Earl Jones character says “People will come”… to see the ballpark Ray built for Joe Jackson. But in actuality it was to have closure with his Dad. But “they” do show up at the end of the film!
I thought that he said "if you build it, she will come," meaning the ghost of his dead wife's sister, who haunted the baseball team and decided to seduce each of the players individually at night as they slept, Dan Aykroyd in Ghostbusters-style. The woman had her way with each player before they spoke out and came together to charge her with sexual assault. However, she conveniently disappeared, but building the field of dreams would lure her back, where they could make a citizen's arrest and bring her to justice. Why is that not in this video?
Actually I thought it was 'they will come' as james earl jones says to him that the folks would come to see their loved ones and pay to do so, as they were losing the farm to debt. The 'they will come ' refers to the income to save the farm? Then at the end of the movie when he sees all the cars heading to the farm, Costner smiles to himself and quotes again and nods 'if you build it, they will come'
I remember the commercials when I was in school. It always said " They Will Come". The commercials where on all the time advertising for the movie. Crazy
When I was in highschool junior year 1999 in my drama class we had an assignment to recreate a scene from this movie. We filmed it. We watched countless hours of it to get the scenes right. It indeed was Build it and "THEY" will come. I think that there are corporations who want to make us think we are crazy. I don't believe in time travel but I do believe these entities who have ill will and ulterior motives want and are manipulating information. Which is why millions of people have different memories. In our tech era it's far too easy for the information to be tampered with and videos altered. They want us to doubt ourselves and our ability to know and our memories. If we can't rely on our memories and be able to discern where and what truth is they can feed anyone anything....including lies.
I agree but how did these entities change all the VHS tapes in millions of peoples homes? they must be able to time travel or send information back in time or something

For those thinking they are insanse misremembering this here is a little story that might comfort you: I never seen this movie but I've seen this part many years ago here on youtube. The line was "if you build it, they will come" and the reason I'm sure is when I heard it I made up this scenario in my heard about the film that 1. God is talking to this guy ..maybe he is a preacher who lost his faith or something.. 2. God telling him to build a temple or something like that like a place of worship for people to gather there 3. "if you build it, they will come" - meaning the people living there in his town would come to that church or house or whatever Now you can see that "if you build it, he will come" makes no sense in my madeup scenario ..who is "he"? :D 4. Also the person I thought to be God was whispering in a more comforting voice ..now its simply creepy to listen to this also the tune seems out of place ..I rememer there was some tune but not this loud and also it was like "awe inspiring" and not creepy ..I think the tune here just makes that creepy whisper even creepier :D so yeah, you are not insane and you do not misremember this ..I made up a whole scenario in my head when I watched this and I still to this day have no idea what this movie is about.
Haha, no... You need to watch the movie. "They" doesn't even make sense within the plot. The line is repeated many times throughout the movie and the main character thinks that "he" refers to shoeless joe jackson.
That's what some call an "anchor memory", when you remember where you were, what you saw/heard, and exactly what you were thinking about it at the time. This isn't anchor memory for me, but I do remember "they will come" and then understanding when the ball players showed up. My anchor movie memory is Dolly's braces, or lack of braces now in Moonraker. Her braces drove that whole exchange between her and Jaws and I remember exactly what I was thinking when I saw that in 1979 at 16. Good journey...Peace!
@@jmp4177 Like I said I didnt see it so im not influenced by it but I will watch it to see if it would make sense having "they" in that line. Many people says it does. Also I'll check it in another language because I noticed that for some reason the Mandela effect stuff often gets "blocked" by language barriers for example the Disney magic mirror is the same original "misremembered" line that apparently changed in English.
@@asodalis695 No, "they will come" makes zero sense. People who say it was "they" are going off of old memories and clearly haven't seen the movie in a while and are confusing it with the many parodies and commercials that adapted that line. Again the line is repeated throughout the entire movie and at the very climax the "HE" is revealed. Its the entire point of the story. Besides... I watched it in the theater and about every year since then.
Don't get it. It was spoken one way, but now people saying it was spoken differently... can we sure without a doubt it was always one way and people just absorbed it & came out differently over time or misheard, or simply it made more sense to say "they" instead of "he"? Who (the one "he" referred to) dafuq is gonna come, singular wise on their own that he's gonna make a ball park for? How does this give a huge assumption theory that suddenly we've shifted realities..why? How exactly? All because of a word, ONE WORD out of a movie years ago?
Mandela Effect. "He will come"??? Who??? They are the baseball team and the fans of baseball. They will come. Update: the "He" is apparently Kevin Costner's characters dad. Guys. We humans are in a matrix that is being used to learn about our culture. They are just like amateur software programmers that attempt to make small changes to the past code when they realize that things don't make sense.
Why do you think they are changing things like this? Its always been 'they'. The really scary thing is....its even changed on the DVD that i still own??? Like how the fuck?

If u build it he will come is whispered by the voice re shoeless Joe but duznt he turn to his wife and say...as they see the headlights down the highway If u build it THEY will come?
It's THEY- I remember. The last scene, where they look and see all the spectators are streaming in, a long line of cars and then they start to laugh, realizing "they" also refers to fans who will pay money to watch the games being played which will ultimately save the family from losing everything (money spent on building the baseball field, lost revenue from farming, etc)

Look on e bay and the movie merchandise i.e. baseball caps, car bumper stickers etc, still say 'They will come'
This is insane, this is literally a saying that's been around since the movie came out. If you build it they will come
He will come not they will come
@@iwan060480 "They Will Come" is from a different reality. You need to wake up.
@@iwan060480 It's okay, I guess you probably come from Dimension 1217 or maybe even 1216... Here in Dimension 1218, in that movie we all watched, it was definitely saying "If You build It, THEY will come". You probably don't know that but our dimension and yours came dangerously close to each other a few times in the past and one of these times it came close enough to result in a partial merge, which is the reason why a few things like that aren't quite like we remember it...
Have a good day.
@@Reth_Hard Or we died in that dimension and woke here with no memory of our passing. How many times have you come close to death how many times was your life at grave risk and peril? Has it ever occured to you that just maybe you never survived that peril and in the wake of your demise over there you find yourself with all your previous memories with the rest of us here in this reality or plane of conscious existance only you still have reverberations and lingering memories of the way things where in the exsistance prior because that was the existence you experienced up unitl your passing.
exactlly, it's a "saying", like a game of telephone, people change sayings to what their minds prefer them to sound like - e.g. "could care less" instead of "couldn't care less"
its if you build it he will come? i was lied to all my life wow
Who is messing with us we all know it’s they will come
Verifiable, certified, mandela effect!
And you can’t tell me he was put in prison as the president. Are you okay?
I have experienced tons of Mandela Effects. I also have also always been exposed to constant TV news, including international news. I was really surprised when I heard that Nelson Mandela had been president of South Africa. Although I don't specifically have a memory of him dying in prison, it really did feel like he had disappeared from my reality and then showed up again alive and having been President of S.A.
Oh and as far as this movie, it was "they" for me. And when a local mall was expanding years ago they had all these spots for new stores with the words "if you build it, they will come" as part of the advertising.
im with “they” but mandela definitely did not die in prison.
Ok schizo.
Right after the scene if you ever watched this movie the wife asks Kevin Costner what did the voice say he answered if you build it he will come
It was always "they." Modern day witchcraft maybe?
luciferian black magic
They will come...
I recall as a small child my best friend and I would seldom agree on what happened last week, or some event. We always had personal memories that shared some details but had others that didn't match up. I've come to the conclusion that our memories are so faulty that eye witness testimony shouldn't be allowed in court!
Russian bot answer. Let me guess. You are Vaxxed and masked. Never think outside the box/program?
that's a load of shit.
It doesn't explain why some of our memories are actually true.
Cool, you're from this other reality. Noice.
Hm.
Not it hasn't
This is exactly why I don't trust most people in this current reality. So many people still think it always said "He Will Come". Can't you see that different realities are merging? Look at all these people that still remember "They Will Come". Please use your brain. I always remembered "They Will Come". It's no misremembering nonsense that people come up with. THEY WILL COME!
They will come !!!! somethings gone wrong folks really ! so many things have changed that don't make any sense !
he clearly says "HE will come" not "they".
I watched this movie in the 80s and so many times. I remember the quote as clear as broad daylight... "If you build it, they will come".
I remember it too. The line said "they will come." It's been changed.
Wally Wells that's the sure.
maybe back in the 80's the movie had additional scene/alternative that for some reason (maybe to use for 2016 psyop) they edited into it later.
If You Build It, They Will Come - this is how I remember it when watching this movie decades ago.
Yep. Me too, and SO many others. Because that’s what the line was. No doubt whatsoever.👍🏼
It does say he because his dad comes at the end.
"They" = Beginning of the Movie
"They" come (baseball players show up in the middle of the movie)
"He" = toward the end of the movie. "He" is his dad.
At the end of the move it goes back to "they" will come, as the camera pans out with all the cars driving in.
@@bluepacman13 Yes it does. I wonder why do people always want to believe the most absurd theories?
So the title says "they" but the video says "he" I remember they, because the they is the baseball players.
The scene that really gets me is when the hitchhiker is in the backseat and tells Ray and Terry "my name is Archie Graham." Frank Whaley was absolutely perfect in that role.
If you dont build it , they will come....
Build the Wall!
Build the Wall!
Build the Wall!
Go stuff UR fucking Crown , *Brexitrash! !!!!!!!!*
It is “if you build it he will come”.
Interesting that the video was posted in 2013 and the title was and still remains with "They" and not "He". That means chances are that until that point of time it was as we all remember "They will come" and only after that 2013 point of time and beyond the sentence changed from "They" to "He" . It only changed after that time of 2013 and into 2014-2015 exactly when everyone started talking about the mandala effect phenomenon.
bruh
There is a sign at my local baseball field it clearly says if you build it THEY will come.... Why would the city build a big ass sign saying the wrong thing... makes no sense
That's HILARIOUS DUDE
Um this is about a baseball field, not a sign in a city
Here's another parody from 2011 using the real phrase. ua-cam.com/video/mHGPOtl3eaA/v-deo.html
No one knows why this is happening. Only that it is. Forest Gump, Interview with a Vampire, Mr Rodger Neighborhood, the list goes on. Philip K Dick thought we were all in a computer simulation. Most non-religious tend to go with parallel universe merging. Time travel explanation doesn't really work.
IT WAS "THEY" DAMMIT!!!!!!!!!!!!
Im sorry but how high brought me here lmao
Oh shit Big Bear was right
Bro what the fuck
If you think it was ever "they" then the ending makes no sense.
"After the game, Shoeless Joe invites Mann to enter the corn; he
accepts and disappears into it. Ray is angry at not being invited, but
Shoeless Joe rebukes him: if he really wants a reward for having
sacrificed so much, then he had better stay on the field. Shoeless Joe
then glances towards a player at home plate, saying "If you build it, he
will come." The player then removes his mask, and Ray recognizes him to
be John as a young man. Shocked, Ray realizes that "ease his pain"
referred to John [his deceased father], and believes that Shoeless Joe was the voice all
along; however, Joe implies that the voice was Ray himself. Joe then
disappears into the corn.
Ray introduces John to Annie and Karin. As he heads towards the corn,
Ray asks him if he wants to play a game of catch. They begin to play
and Annie happily watches. Meanwhile, hundreds of cars can be seen
approaching the baseball field, fulfilling Karin and Mann's prophecy
that people will come to watch baseball."

Ok who is going around editing all the Field of dreams scenes where the voice said if you build it THEY will come? What’s this HE shit? This shit isn’t funny anymore man.
It was they! 😢
Even misspelled it in the title. Seriously?
It was always they, if you build the baseball field, the people will come...
3cpo has silver leg?
Definitely it was "If you build it THEY will come" HANDS DOWN!
Zapruder film shows 4 people.
They makes sense because when he builds the ball field tons of people descend on his farm.
*muh corn!!*
It was THEY not HE.
Bob Franco 😂😂
@bobfranco9475 Epic comment🏆
Actually I thought it was 'they will come' as james earl jones says to him that the folks would come to see their loved ones and pay to do so, as they were losing the farm to debt. The 'they will come ' refers to the income to save the farm? Then at the end of the movie when he sees all the cars heading to the farm, Costner smiles to himself and quotes again and nods 'if you build it, they will come'
Actually they refers to SCP
This voice is credited as himself in the credits. No one has been told who the voice actor is
I remember the commercials when I was in school. It always said " They Will Come". The commercials where on all the time advertising for the movie. Crazy
The movie was based on a book and in the book the line is " if you build it they will come " this was changed at some point in the audio track.
I remember it as they and I have never even seen this movie before.
I never even watched this movie but was well aware of the phrase. It has been retroactively changed.
It appears we are living in a virtual reality...
It is very likely after all.

THEY, ITS "THEY"
HE, IT'S "HE!"
@@AndyMorrisArt it's literally just a misremembrance of a quote. it's not that hard. Plus the fact that in Waynes World and other media, it was said as "they". but its always been he, and it really isnt that hard to understand

I asked my dad how you spell it and he replied "D-i-l-e-m-n-a." I asked my FIL how you spell it and he- who grew up on the other side of the country from my dad, said- without hesitation- "D-i-l-e-m-n-a." Except myself and BOTH of them are of course wrong- it's ALWAYS been DileMMa. Oh yeah, and it's always been "It's a beautiful day in THIS neighborhood," too. All the millions of us who know that it wasn't "this neighborhood" but rather "THE neighborhood" are, of course, wrong.
Silly us- how could we ALL have been so stupid?!?
It was always about the players...so it was always "If you build it, THEY will come". The Mandela effect is real whether people choose to see it or not.
It is definitely real, I have had lots of M E experiences. Never believed in "conspiracy" theories before but damn this has me stunned.
It's plain not true. It's about his father: "he."
Mandela did not die in prison. Where did this misconception come from?
The people saying that it's the Mandela effect of "they" and not "he" they remember... Ummmmm.... Wayne's World? - That's where I know it from, not this movie. Jim Morrison
For those thinking they are insanse misremembering this here is a little story that might comfort you:
I never seen this movie but I've seen this part many years ago here on youtube.
The line was "if you build it, they will come"
and the reason I'm sure is when I heard it I made up this scenario in my heard about the film that
1. God is talking to this guy ..maybe he is a preacher who lost his faith or something..
2. God telling him to build a temple or something like that like a place of worship for people to gather there
3. "if you build it, they will come" - meaning the people living there in his town would come to that church or house or whatever
Now you can see that "if you build it, he will come" makes no sense in my madeup scenario ..who is "he"? :D
4. Also the person I thought to be God was whispering in a more comforting voice ..now its simply creepy to listen to this
also the tune seems out of place ..I rememer there was some tune but not this loud and also it was like "awe inspiring" and not creepy ..I think the tune here just makes that creepy whisper even creepier :D
so yeah, you are not insane and you do not misremember this ..I made up a whole scenario in my head when I watched this and I still to this day have no idea what this movie is about.
@@mattplus09 Yea I remember her having them that was the whole point of the scene that created a connection between them.
This fuckin Mandela effect. I thought it was “If you build it, They will come”
Don't get it. All because of a word, ONE WORD out of a movie years ago?
he didn't want 'they' to come and play baseball, i think he was obsessed with one particular player but maybe i remember wrong.
