Hi Tudor nice drive from Whitfield to Deal. Quite a long journey, but never the less, a pleasant one. At least the sun was out. Initially i thought i might have seen this one, but evidently not. I am trying to connect to your newer episodes which i am gradually doing as necessary. Thanks for your hard work that you put into all of this, and i am not surprised that you looked rather tired. Incidentally i will buy you a coffee if that's what you would like.🚗

I must admit, if somone slams their anchors in front of me I'd call the police with accusations of dangerous driving! The problem with a 50mph speed limit is the frustration of drivers failing to take advantage of favourable conditions and pottering along at 40-45 for no good reason. Aiming to achieve 5-10% below the limit on open sections of road in good conditions is not unreasonable. Anyway, speedos do overstate the speed travelling so there is no danger of picking up a ticket. (Similar line of thought with 30mph zones as you mentioned later on in your narrative). With the proliferation of 20mph zones these days some drivers get confused and drive as if they are in a 20mph zone even where the limit is 30mph. As you were driving around Deal you didn't need a 20mph zone to assist your safe driving!
Interesting to watch, I know all these roads, was in Dover last week and worked in Deal for 6 months, used to park (FOC) on the beachfront close to where you stopped.

I agree. I would never slam the anchors on. But can you imagine if I had to do am emergency stop? Someone tailgating would have to have their wits about them to stop in time.

@@drivewithcare_uk Yes, but they should be reading the road and watching for dangers, granted some may be shielded from view, but not all.

Hi, I live abroad. 🇨🇦 just wondered if you could add into one of your drives how and when to safely do a U-Turn. Thanks.

Interesting. I hadn’t even considered doing that manoeuvre on one of my drives. I’ll see if I can fit one on. 👍

the roads in the UK are mostly too narrow for U turns ... I've been driving for over 40 years and cannot remember the last time I did a U turn (in the UK, have done so in Canada) but I do sometimes do a 3 point turn!
