Matt is by far the best UA-cam golf content creator. You take us on the golf journey better than anyone else, and are so relatable. I've had plenty a shiza on board around hole 17 :)
I have to agree. Watching this was both relaxing and completely enjoyable. Bonus, it gave me the urge to dust off the clubs and get out on the course again!
My favorite golfer is my 10 year old daughter. She never lets a bad shot affect her next shot, she uses the way of the playa (she has no choice with her distances), and when we play I worry less about my score and more about keeping it fun. It’s what golf is all about.
Baus played pretty well but Mo is outdriving him, outplacing hit, and noticeably almost always closer to the hole with approaches and putting slightly better! Crumbs
My favourite golfer is Adam Scott, and as a fellow Aussie seeing him win the Masters was amazing. Growing up as a junior golfer, everyone wanted to have his swing (and who doesn't still) I'll always support him in any tournament he plays. Hoping he has a few wins this year!
Favorite golfer is Jason Kokrak. I met him while he was in town for the Memorial Tournament. He stopped me as I was playing on my home CC, as he was living along the course for the week, and played 2 holes with me. Could not have been a nicer guy and even gave me some good chipping tips
Matt, fantastic up and down on 17. You and Mo looked you had a great time. That's what it's all about.Sweet eagle to finish up. Man I wish I had that much fun every time I went out. Love your channel and I'm glad to see you didn't't quit after the last round. Cheers from Tucson.
Yeah!!! This is soooo awesome to see Playaaaas. Have been off UA-cam for a little while and now that spring is back in effect up here in the great northeast I can get back to some golfing. So what do I do before playing for second round of the season? Come watch some Golf Sidekick of course and we got a video with almost a half million view?!? Great job! Great job, indeed.
Golf sidekick would have to be my favorite. From learning how to shoot 90 from him to now focusing on 80. He keeps me laughing the whole time. Just look up the video from yesterday. April fools day 🤣🤣🤣 I qas so made then literally couldn't stop laughing once I realized. Thanks for the better golf and the laughs. Stress free baby
Well done man. I really enjoyed this game with Mo. Seems like you two bounce off each other well, and improve each others game. Love the smile on hole 15 I think.... birdie is the best feeling.
Yesterday I broke 50 on 9 holes for the first time with a 48, even though my putting was absolutely terrible. I think I could shave 3-5 strokes off that score by practicing putting now that the greens reopen. Thanks to your vids I picked comfortable clubs off the tee, either 5 iron or 3 wood most often, and figured out where to miss which meant I was 100% stress free. Thanks for the wisdom playa
My favorite golfer is Jordan Speith, watching his rise in 2015 and then hiss fall off, all to start coming back this year has been exciting, i think he brings a lot for the game of golf and am excited to see what he does in the future, maybe even win the masters again!
Started playing golf less than a year ago. Thanks to this channel I started playing real golf and stopped taking free drops and mulligans. Had the best score of my life last weekend, and a not so great round this weekend. No choice but to keep moving forward, like a baus
Always look forward to your videos. I feel we are about the same level, but you have more practice and playing time. Really appreciate the commentary that you provide during the round, but recorded after the round instead of on the course. I have listened/watched others that are similar and they are not the same insight, perspective, and quality. Great Job!
Great Video! I lived in BKK for years and played Lamlukka (north and east of the old airport) many times. Beautiful and now has 2 x 18's! Thanks again and looking forward to more Thai courses (Golf paradise!)
My favorite golfer is my 77 year old German grandfather. Contagious smile and laughter while picking up his 6ft gimmies will bring you back to the course every time
Just graduated from frisbee golf to real golf. Really admiring the humility golf forces you to have over throwing a disc. Same mentality, much more difficult to actually play well.
Dude, you're turning into my life coach for this game. Favorite golfer.....tough call. I'm gonna go with Jim Furyk because while he wasn't winning all the time back in the time when Tiger ruled, he was always RIGHT THERE week in and week out, and he never really hit the ball all that far. Plus I saw him play a practice round once, and can specifically recall a completely effortless chip shot that he took: he walked up to the ball, barely stopped walking, hit a floppy chip a foot from the hole and kept walking like it was no big deal. Total gangster.
I have only played twice since my son was born back in November. This is the first video that really made me miss it. And the fact that you use "Man alive!" made me sub. Cheers!
Hey Matt, I saw your april fools post yesterday and you got me. I was devastated that you were going to stop posting videos. But then I remembered it was April Fools, well played Matt. :). Anyways, just wanted to let you know that you have been truly inspiring and I found love for the game once again because of your video and the way of the playa philosophy. Hope to see you hit up some courses in my part of town (the island of Java) who knows maybe we can play a few rounds. Thanks again Matt.
Matt whenever I see your vids the night before a round I always play terrible. So I started skipping your vids but here I am at 12 30 am before I play 9 tomorrow. Wish me luck Playa!!
Love the video! Great advice about "taking it easy peez lemon squeeze"...took me years to learn that valuable lesson. 345 yard 3 wood bomb past Mo's driver on the 18th. Impressive.
The golfer who shows up on time, laughs at the bad shots, smiles at the good ones, doesn't act like a buffoon coach/psycho analyst and fixes his pitch marks plus one. And always be planting
I thought my inconsistency wasn’t normal… the A, B, C, and D game explains me so well. Golf really is sharpening misses and making your B, C, and D game better and better!
Great video Matt. Three things will make you a scratch golfer. 1. Driver fitting and learn to hit it. 2. Strengthen your grip to stop those weak fades. 3. Stop trying to hit your 8 iron 170 yards. Good luck mate.
Matt your perspective on the game of golf is inspirational. Your course management strategy is tried and true and skill oriented. Bravo Wataplaya! Ben Hogan favorite alltime player. Although Arnie and Jack right up there. Current Dustin Johnson.
Jordan Speith. He never gave up and always maintained a positive attitude despite his struggles the past couple of years. Also putting is my favorites part of the game and he’s one of the best in the world.
Props to you for hanging in there and upping your mental game. I love watching this channel and seeing all the shots. I am a 4 handicap and if I had to guess I would put you at a 1 or 2 handicap. Keep up the great videos!
Your my favourite golfer! Because you put yourself down way too much but are actually very good, some of your approach shots were amazing and nearly went in, so i think you win the favourite golfer award from bit dash of quality golfing and huge dash of modesty my man!
Dude, I like your channel so much, because I see a lot of myself in what you do and say. Maybe I start also a channel and hopefully one day we make a round together 💪🏻🏌🏻♂️ Keep doing what you do!!!
Favorite golfer outside of the big cat has to be Justin Thomas. Even when he’s competing he’s joking around and keeping it light, and his wedge game is bananas
Great video! Lessons to take away here, first and foremost is to master the short game. 6/8 and 7/7 up and down is really good. Second, keep it in play off the tee. It's the difference between a round in the high 70's to the high 60's!
Even though you seem to be hitting a lot of the same clubs into the greens you can see how much more control pro Mo has , people don't realize how much effort goes into that level of control ... ; must have been such an enjoyable round aswell both finishing Eagle Birdie , Waddaplayas !
I think his improved conditioning and strength also is key. For him to swing at that speed requires strength. That’s where i can’t keep up despite being able to attain that speed. I will break ny body trying though
Bit late to the party here, but that was a lovely eagle on the last. Catching up with your video's. Great content and delivered well. I'm just starting out again after many years of not playing.
totally relate to this video... I could see the negative momentum happening in your body language. I have those stretches where it feels like getting a par is impossible but also when everything is going smoothly. Usually depends on finding the fairway with my driver or 3 wood. Also, I think psychologically we can sabotage ourselves when there is a chance to go low... things are going too good so Bam!! let me go 8 over and now I'm in my comfort zone. Great video.
Great to see playing a course I know quite well. But even though we play off shorter tees I don't recognise the lines you were playing off the tee Whoa! Mo's drive on 10 was off the charts good.
Ariya Jutangarn 😍 watched her win the Ricoh Open in 2016. First time I'd been to watch golf in person and was in awe! She generates so much power so effortlessly. When I grow up I want to be able to hit a 2 iron like her 😁
Hi Matt, great video. Best thing about these type of comparisons is that they make it easy to see what is going wrong when we hit poor shots, and also how most peoples swing patterns are consistent, i.e there is is very little difference between a swing that results in a poor shot and a good one for the average golfer. The pro was not more consistent in his swing pattern, he just has a swing pattern that allows him a greater margin of error.
Great golf Vids... At 22:50 you had me in cramps.. Of course not the Shitza crampos you were experiencing from Garage to garage and through the course.. !! Damn those BNKOK Chillies...
Man, if I could chip like Matt I would drop about 10-15 strokes. Such amazing skill. Last round I played I shot a 97, 24 of my shots were chips, 5 on one hole -_- My own fault for not working on that part of my game, but the amount of practice I get just by playing you would think I'd learn not to blade 9/10 over the green.
Skip all the work and book a short game lesson. It will take 1 lesson. And you will also improve your ball striking from this one chipping lesson. I promise
I think my favorite golfer has to be Louis Oosthuizen. When that man is on it, he is an absolute pleasure to watch! Actually, doesn’t matter. That swing is just too good to look at! And I think it would be wrong of me to not support a fellow South African 🤷🏼♀️
I get you. I'm new to golf. The first South African I watched was Bezuidenhout when he scooped two trophies at the end of last year. He's my fav so far and I'm a Namibian 😂
Bro, if we could hit drives like that, why even carry other clubs. Just come to hit 14 tee shots, walk and talk and pick up the ball in the fairway and be done with it!

My fave golfer is my Dad. Played until he was 93 (twice a week and always walked the course) and sadly passed away two weeks ago. An inspiration
Sorry to hear about your loss. I hope too that I can play until that late in life and bring my kids along.
Sounds like a champ, sorry for your loss, hope you're doing ok
@@astroposyt2898 Thankyou Astropos
Rest In Peace.
I would like to pass on the same inspiration to my Son

thats true
@@GolfSidekick Get those block fades a bit straighter and it'll be cake...everything else looked solid.
I have to agree. Watching this was both relaxing and completely enjoyable. Bonus, it gave me the urge to dust off the clubs and get out on the course again!
Mo has what we all want, the ability to pound the driver with full confidence on nearly any non par 3. He’s a machine!
My favorite golfer is my 10 year old daughter. She never lets a bad shot affect her next shot, she uses the way of the playa (she has no choice with her distances), and when we play I worry less about my score and more about keeping it fun. It’s what golf is all about.
Perspective - I like that! Need to remember that next time i'm on the course.
That 7 Iron by mo from around the tree was absalutley insane
Looked kinda like that tiger shot around the tree, but his was a fade.
Love that you’re narrating after the videos again
Agreed
@J. Daniel sounds very different always confuses me
The best videos have narration after, but they also have a couple rants to the camera while standing behind his ball.
He has a British actor narrating many of the clips! The
BAUS is South African I think!
Baus played pretty well but Mo is outdriving him, outplacing hit, and noticeably almost always closer to the hole with approaches and putting slightly better! Crumbs

12:50 When I saw Mo taking a line to go over the water and the rock music kicked in, I knew things were about to get real.
That’s absolutely right man!, the shots they are able to do is the result of hours and hours of dedication and hard work
By the way “awesome editing “
Favorite golfer is Jason Kokrak. I met him while he was in town for the Memorial Tournament. He stopped me as I was playing on my home CC, as he was living along the course for the week, and played 2 holes with me. Could not have been a nicer guy and even gave me some good chipping tips
Mo is an incredibly likeable dude. Great to see him on the channel.

At this level...IMO the difference becomes coaching combined with practice, determination, and mental toughness.
lol... "You see that gap right there?" Proceeds to point at a whole the size of a basketball.
right on that's the only thing i can see different..we need to see moes grip up close
I saw leaves :)
Smaller hole make you focus better 💪🏻💪🏻🥶😆
Hey A-hole! It's a hole not a whole.
Gotta respect the balls
Love the series you do with Mo and the narration is always great to help the viewers understand your thought process. Keep it up Playa!
Well done man. I really enjoyed this game with Mo. Seems like you two bounce off each other well, and improve each others game. Love the smile on hole 15 I think.... birdie is the best feeling.

Watching Mo hit driver was like a religious experience, a good one... 🦅
Great eagle on 18. Mo's 7 iron hook shot was outrageous, Seve would be proud 💥🏌️♂️
Just graduated from frisbee golf to real golf. Really admiring the humility golf forces you to have over throwing a disc. Same mentality, much more difficult to actually play well.
Wow. Mo's an absolute weapon with driver. You can really see his conditioning in his swing and shot shape. Loved his reaction to monster drive on 10.
Mo was def crushing it, wonder what his club speed was?

Ben Hogan is my favorite player. He was the best ball striker to ever live. His book has changed my game and my golf life forever. 👍🏽🔥
Which book is that?
Pro MO is awesome. Someone asked him on Instagram the secret to longer drives. His response was "squats"🤣 Total beast🏋♂️
