you playing the f-100 makes me want to watch you play the mig-19pt in warthunder's current state. By far my favorite jet to play, although dealing with f5's is hard as youve shown with the f100.

@@ineedacookie439 Mig-19 is still one of the best 9.7 even without flares, really all you need to do is avoid all aspects like the Aim-9L. You completely obliterate F-5's in a 1v1 and even in 1v2, 1v3 if they all pitch up after you in a vertical energy fight. Really this is the way to kill F-5's which is the only thing you should treat as an equal. They have a relatively low thrust to weight compared to the Mig-19, you can run vertical on them all day and stall on top of them, just like Defyn did except the 19 can actually finish the job. The biggest problem with the Mig-19 still is that it only has 140 rounds and you have to be conservative with good aim, which isn't that hard to be honest, they hit hard with fast velocity and are not too high or too low on the plane. Sure you will face stuff like the Draken, F-104, and lightning which all have their unique ability like being very good at turning or top speed. But you can still easily outclimb a draken in a vertical fight, especially if you are spiraling while going up, the draken will try to keep nose on and stall very quickly, whereas the F-104 and Lightning are easy to dodge and if you pay attention they will never get the jump on you. There is really no secret against stuff like the A-6 and A-10, simply avoid them. You can try turning your engine off but that will make you vulnerable to 3rd party.
I honestly enjoyed the F-100D on the US tech tree. The uptiers sucked but It feels like a very solid plane. The second I got to the F-4C that familiar sense of wanting to commit atrocities to humanity started to set in again.

I really want that area to be developed more because I like the era of jets that are just starting to use afterburners and don't have the greatest missiles, so that more dog fights happen. Mig-21 kind of ruins that BR and in a full uptier, the A-10 and Su-25 ruin it.
I mean to be fair the F5C is literally the best premium aircraft for its br, it out-runs or at least maintains parity with most if not everything it faces, turns amazingly well whilst having good energy retention, has 2 easy to use high-ammo cannons and has not too bad IR missiles and more than enough countermeasures.

The "worst" aspect is it only gets AIM9-Es, and only 2 of them. I usually still have both late game because they're so easy to spoof, only let them off the rail CC when I think they aren't watching or have no flares left. If someone farted I'm pretty sure the missile would try to track the waft of that instead.

What about the Vietnam B-26K Counter Invader or B-26N which served as a French Night Fighter? What about the FJ Furies (aka naval Sabres)? What about an A-6 Intruder that ISN'T A PREMIUM ONLY? What about the whole slew of experimental aircraft developed by the various nations of WW2 that never truly saw the light of day? Cause you sure as hell can't hide behind "too few were produced" as an excuse since regular tech tree aircraft like the Italian SM.92, German Ho 229, and Japanese R2Y2 had production numbers ranging from One to ZERO. The SM.92 only had one prototype made before it was canned, the only Horton 229 in production had to be finished by the allies after WW2, and the R2Y2 is a LITERAL paper design that was never even started. Oh! And let's not forget equipment like the "Village Inn" Automatic Gun Laying Turret installed on some Lancaster that could detect and even assist the turret's aim for the rear gunner, making it a point-&-shoot ordeal. Or the additional armor plating some standard M4 Sherman crews welded onto the front of their tanks during the invasion of France. Or the ability for the British QF 75mm cannon to use American ammunition (WHICH INCLUDES THE M61 APHE).

I know its propably annoying request, but can you make video how to beat new IR missiles from front/side/back attacks and how to beat radar missiles? but not in teory, in practice, so we can use it in AIR RB? I know u made a lot of videos like this, but stuff changes in WT to be honest, i was not having problem before with radar missiles, but now i dont know what i should to do to beat them, i can only stay low, and still sometimes its hits me, my missiles, especialy AIM7M most of times dosnt connect with enemies going cold etc, sometimes they dont even use chaffs/flares (r27ER hits much often) even on head-on my missiles sometimes miss, when i have feeling that enemy is always hitting me, same stuff with for example R-73, i barely manage to get some kills from head-ons with those missiles, when enemy R-73 and AIM-9M hits me 90% of times on head-on and like 99% times from my 6 etc.

Maaan, after MiG-23MF, there wasn't any good or interesting rewards for air. Meanwhile ground vehicles were at least unique like LOSAT or useful like T-80s or Leo. And air be like: F-100, Jaguar, A-7K, Su-25BM(that you need to get to tier 4 of mods to make it useful in ground rb), F-5A and F4D-1 that needed several buffs to make it somewhat flyable. And before that there was a Buccaneer...

I had a great time with the chinese F-100A, really fun plane to fly (especially when not uptiered to space). And I was super hyped to find out China gets an F-100 with 6 pylons for GRB, since I'd really love to take a break from the Q-5 feels. Then I found out you can still only mount two bullpups and still have to throw out your AIM-9's for it and it doesn't get flares. So yeah...back to I actually don't want any of these rewards.
And they said that they not gonna give it better AAMs because it has no flares so it can have a 9.3 BR. That has to be the biggest bullshit of the year! Like there are no jets without countermeasures on 9.7 and above, and its gonna see uptiers 99% of the time, since most players play 9.7-10.3 at this rank anyway. Also is it an improvement over the Q-5A as a CAS plane?
no no, we still have another variant of a6e, av8B day attack (which the av8b night attack will be on tech tree), a10C and maybe some of that other nation COPY PASTED/VERY OBVIOUSLY SIMILAR IF NOT COPY PASTED ground strike aircraft for upcoming event on the next full year, so enjoy!

Given how ass the events are to Grind, I think that's a terrible idea. I personally think Event vehicles should be unique from aces, or crew modifications - practically just limiting it to aesthetic vehicles all with premium rewards tied to them. People that miss them don't miss something meta-defining, and the exclusivity can be kept up without ruining the game.
@@trevorstriker1179 Some of them are, but Gaijin should not be assumed to know what is Meta, and what isn't. PT-76-57 was an easy example of Gaijin not knowing meta-defining. Prototypes such as the Object 279 are meta, and there is nothing wrong with that (if it wasn't blatantly OP), but if you are going to make them 'one of a kind' they shouldn't be vehicles with unique playstyles. Unless you are suggesting all event vehicles should be put in positions that make them bad? In which case that is still bad, but I suppose more logical than making them great but inaccessible.

Can you fly the F-104 ASA and G.91YS? This 2 planes are unplayable on the br they currently sit but ik you always get something done with any plane, all tutorials are outdated since now 19/20 both the F-104 ASA gets dragged to 12.3 and the G.91YS gets dragged to 10.7 and it's basically impossible to do anything on uptiers.
I've noticed the US F-100 has gotten mainly downtiers. A lot more enjoyable to face F-86s and MIG-15s than it is facing F-5s and MiG-21s lol. There are so many planes like this, that are.... somewhat acceptable in downtiers, but horrid in uptiers, so they're just at the mercy of the matchmaker.... thanks BR compression.
I play only with air to air loadout and the mid map aa are still shooting at me. I even got 1 tapped by the aa protecting bases in a mig21mf with R60s only. Once again something that doesn't work how original.
I was so disappointed when I saw that yet another reward was an attacker (and yes I call this thing an attacker because it is). There are so many goofy late props and jets they could add. Like give me my I-250 god damnit
We got the Kfir C2 but that thing really kind isn't that great when most the planes can outrun the thing with no problem cause you are just permanently up-tiered and only get 2 Pythons and shit for flares. The BR/Rank changes kind of F@cked a lot of planes in the change I rather have it back the way it was before at least I know I'm not going to get a kiss while I'm getting screwed.
From the F-100F devblog: “We’ve decided to not add the AiM-9P missile to the aircraft, which would have caused its Battle Rating to increase.” Honestly? If the T-2 (an aircraft with superior flight performance) can get a loadout of 2x AiM-9P’s at 9.7, why can’t this plane get 4x AiM-9P’s at the same BR? I think it’d be worth it
Air RB desperately needs some attention from Gaijin. Tiers 6 to 8 could use team size reduction and for F's sake...can we please get a separate Air RB EC mode.
I just want Air RB EC with respawns, rather play a long game with variety than short games just doing the same thing over and over again. Every single BR bracket is the same thing
the problem is that the rewards would've been good, or worth obtaining if the event WASNT SUCH A PAIN IN THE ASS, i think they would have more luck doing easier events if they wanna give bad rewards like these and leave the actually somewhat decent vehicles for the harder events (i wouldnt mind getting a good plane in a easy event tho tbh)

With the swarm of f-5c I've started playing the mig-23M since it rarely has to fight the 12.0s while retaining a lot of capabilities.

Every time i got killed by an Aim-9L in the F100 i died a little inside, it's basically a free kill for a lot of planes
The F-100D was amazing back in the early supersonic days. It has just gotten power crept into oblivion. Like many jets without flares

@@biga2769 9 times out of 10. There is a very small chance you get put in a 8.3 to 8.7 match but it is VERY rare.

Like there are no jets without countermeasures on 9.7 and above, and its gonna see uptiers 99% of the time, since most players play 9.7-10.3 at this rank anyway. Also is it an improvement over the Q-5A as a CAS plane?

It would be nice to have an event where the quote on quote "air reward" isn't a CAS plane that can't do jack in air RB. I think event vehicles should be more unique vehicles/prototypes in general.
Given how ass the events are to Grind, I think that's a terrible idea.
I personally think Event vehicles should be unique from aces, or crew modifications - practically just limiting it to aesthetic vehicles all with premium rewards tied to them. People that miss them don't miss something meta-defining, and the exclusivity can be kept up without ruining the game.

@@trevorstriker1179 Some of them are, but Gaijin should not be assumed to know what is Meta, and what isn't.
PT-76-57 was an easy example of Gaijin not knowing meta-defining.
Prototypes such as the Object 279 are meta, and there is nothing wrong with that (if it wasn't blatantly OP), but if you are going to make them 'one of a kind' they shouldn't be vehicles with unique playstyles.
Unless you are suggesting all event vehicles should be put in positions that make them bad? In which case that is still bad, but I suppose more logical than making them great but inaccessible.

Can you fly the F-104 ASA and G.91YS? This 2 planes are unplayable on the br they currently sit but ik you always get something done with any plane, all tutorials are outdated since now 19/20 both the F-104 ASA gets dragged to 12.3 and the G.91YS gets dragged to 10.7 and it's basically impossible to do anything on uptiers.

I've noticed the US F-100 has gotten mainly downtiers. A lot more enjoyable to face F-86s and MIG-15s than it is facing F-5s and MiG-21s lol.
There are so many planes like this, that are.... somewhat acceptable in downtiers, but horrid in uptiers, so they're just at the mercy of the matchmaker.... thanks BR compression.

I play only with air to air loadout and the mid map aa are still shooting at me. I even got 1 tapped by the aa protecting bases in a mig21mf with R60s only.

I was so disappointed when I saw that yet another reward was an attacker (and yes I call this thing an attacker because it is). There are so many goofy late props and jets they could add. Like give me my I-250 god damnit

We got the Kfir C2 but that thing really kind isn't that great when most the planes can outrun the thing with no problem cause you are just permanently up-tiered and only get 2 Pythons and shit for flares. The BR/Rank changes kind of F@cked a lot of planes in the change I rather have it back the way it was before at least I know I'm not going to get a kiss while I'm getting screwed.

Honestly? If the T-2 (an aircraft with superior flight performance) can get a loadout of 2x AiM-9P’s at 9.7, why can’t this plane get 4x AiM-9P’s at the same BR? I think it’d be worth it

Air RB desperately needs some attention from Gaijin. Tiers 6 to 8 could use team size reduction and for F's sake...can we please get a separate Air RB EC mode.
I just want Air RB EC with respawns, rather play a long game with variety than short games just doing the same thing over and over again. Every single BR bracket is the same thing

the problem is that the rewards would've been good, or worth obtaining if the event WASNT SUCH A PAIN IN THE ASS, i think they would have more luck doing easier events if they wanna give bad rewards like these and leave the actually somewhat decent vehicles for the harder events (i wouldnt mind getting a good plane in a easy event tho tbh)

The play time commitment required to get any of these vehicles is just insane, top that off with a vehicle thats just not worth having and these crafting events are what they've always been: not worth your time.
