Friendly reminder: Under no circumstances are you to allow the aircraft and the aircraft's shadow to touch, except for takeoff and landing. Had me chewing a hole in my seat there...
He’s just showing off now… 50ft above ground on the way in, drops his ordnance, runs out of flares, dodges 3 SAMs, fights off 2 Fulcrums, and then nails a 3 wire landing. The WSO had already passed out from the stress 😂
I came into this thinking this was a "precision strike vs precision strike" comparison between the super hornet and the fulcrum. That would be interesting to see. Maybe, a mini-competition using the Top Gun Maverick mission but with different aircraft (F18 Super Hornet, F16, Mig-29, Gripen, etc) to see which ones do it best.
Everything from the low altitude run up to the running away from missiles to running for cover from that Fulcrum made this one a nailbiter! Seriously cool man!
When those missiles missed after you dropped the bombs reminded me of the Behind Enemy Lines scene with the F/A-18 flying to do reconnaissance and then begins dodging missiles. As silly and unrealistic that movie is now, it was pretty cool back when I was a kid.
It also has echoes of the late WW2 fighter-bomber (Typhoons perhaps?) missions against the chalets where German top brass was having meetings (according to signal decryption).
#1, I beat the discord notification again, #2 your low level flying skills are quite impressive! Never really been a Hornet guy, but you are making her look good! As always much love and respect, and thanks for the videos!
Got a HUGE Behind Enemy Lines vibe from the opening seeing the Super Hornet, the trees, ....LOL That shot of the SuperHornet landed with the sun behind it, chef's kiss GS is the ULTIMATE low altitude flyer- is he flying or podracing lol? Only a few feet off the ground- that was some serious skill! ...Fulcrums chasing down a SuperHornet- yeah, the Hornets can't quite get up there in speed Wonder if the R77 1s could get shot down by Standard Missile 2's and 6's - or if a CIWS could keep them off a Hornet that passed by
lol - one of the ship missiles hit his drop tank I think. "Got him!" back on the carrier... "I saved your arse back there mate!"... "what, from an angry drop-tank?"
Thank you for another amazing mission. I’m fan of military aviation and aerospace, your missions are amazing and very interesting to watch. The details are awesome and your knowledge of the aircraft and the weapons that they use is incredible. Thank you and looking forward to getting some merch soon. Have a great day.
Hello GS you've inspired me and my old friend to start our own UA-cam channel, and I'm using your channel style as a foundation to it, I'm doing it over at warthunder but my goal is to make it to DCS and hopefully it works out, thank you for being an awesome UA-camr and always popping up with amazing content
I love that images of the bandit coming close looking for you, with the tens music, and you still commenting like complitely unawear how close they are
Great to see you using the Hornet. Love that fighter, it looks amazing, and to have two Mig35's.......Nice. I'm just curious: Do they not have towed jammers or decoys in DCS? If anyone can answer that, it would be much appreciated? Because I know the F/18 uses that decoy and jammer. Loven the channel champ. Dude, nice kill and that was intense at the end man. That was a sick video.
Imagine just being out on a hunt or something and you're taking a piss in the woods. Then suddenly an F-18 blasts you with your own pee stream as it flies by a mere tens of feet from the tree line.
The Super Hornet is a great fighter bomber. It's like an A-7 with a pointy nose. I think it falls down as an air superiority fighter though. I think the outcome would've been different had the opposition been SU-35s. I know this is kicking a dead horse, but modernized A-7 s escorted by F-14s would be a more effective option. Great video! Thanks
Hey love the videos you do, i was wondering if you would ever post your keybinds for your HOTAS. I'm just curious how you set up your warthog for different models. Thanks for the great content you continue to post!
In one of your previous videos you mentioned tossing a bomb into a target. If practical and of interest to others, would you be so kind as to show that technique please?
Went “under” multiple power lines……sw responded in past that power lines will indeed kill…..please post a video of power lines ripping the wings off. Also, love your content!!! Thanks

Day 11 of asking for F35 vs YF23 bvr
Quick question what size monitor do you use?
Definitely fly more super Hornet I love to see the super Hornet in action, do more missions with the super Hornet please
3rd wire. Nice
Yes, try to do the same mission with the F-15E, the A10C and the Harrier
Betty in the Super Hornet was having a stroke that entire mission lmao.

can you explain a little further? is it a dogfighting/maneuvering mistake?
@@minimali992 It was a joke about how close GS was flying to the ground, almost touching it's own shadow=almost crashing.
Genuinely though he was gonna Maverick it under the power lines at one point he was that low, even the birds in the trees were looking down at him!
@@Cinkodacs shit, that's true, totally went over my head 😅
The irony of using all your flares for pre flaring and then having none left to actually use them in combat
And this is why I don't preflare lol
Nice 3 wire trap on the landing GS.
Also the super low altitude visuals were fantastic dude.
Thanks very much, I appreciate you.

Thirsty to the point of going down into the drink! ^^

It is some gripping Behind Enemy Lines stuff, but still isn't real. Lol
@@StreetBobber I didn't say it was. I play DCS. I know it's not real. What are you even implying?
I’m guessing use of the expression “real” is being confused with the literal meaning.
@@RogueSquidward Maybe your word with "real" is people do not understand it.
Now that’s using the F and the A in the same sortie.

Interesting stuff. They've really taken the MiG-29/35 family a lot of places no one saw coming. You had your hands full with them in your sky.
Russia only has single digit MIG-35's though at best.
That looked like a “high pucker factor” mission!

Awesome video, great flying skills. Love this jet!
But real life f 18 is a junk
It's a cool feeling when you fly back so your buddies can help you. That must have been a hell of a way to go down into the water.
>"high value" target
>1 JDAM cost more than the entire compound

Cool thing to see GS as a Navi pilot nice video.
The first three minutes of this was makin the altitude alert fob crazy💀💀💀
In case you are wondering we would have been disappointed without the landing, nice one.
The F/A-18F is such a beautiful machine 😍
Beautiful!!!! Love carrier action packed missions with low flying bombing missions! DA BEST!!
Looked like his drop tank got nailed
A BVR video with the super hornet would be great
I love these scenarios. It would be great to do a follow up of the same scenario, but the other side.
You got lucky I saw at least 2 missiles juuust miss you after you hit the deck but were out of flares 😳
Loving this Super Hornet streak considering my cousin is a pilot of one.
Ah, So that's where Betty got her nickname from
Love watching the mission runs, keep posting these great videos and I'll keep watching! :D

Well the carrier was a shitton of help. Even scrambled some fighters. Thanks, boat!
Im a simple man i see super hornet i click and like before i even see a second of the video
Great video. The Hornet occupies a special place in my heart.
Those poor bodyguards got the full severance package.

As a HVT that survived this attack, you did get all my buddies.
Tense video! Didn’t know you got a MiG 35!
The tail markings are from my old sister squadron. Interestingly they used a growler squadron from VAQ-134..
That was some good low level flying dude.
Nice mission! The MiG-35's were definitely a tough twist.
I love the F/A18 videos.
Woah i was just thinking of a mig-35 vs super hornet this morning! Wish granted!
The starting brought an immideate maverick vibe from the Top Gun 2

its displaying barometric altitude (MSL Mean sea level) not radar, so youre 1500 ft above sea level.

It’d be interesting to see this same mission, but fly it with a Tomcat and a Lantrn pod.
How much fuel did you land with there, GS? 😅😂 Great video! 👍
That building must be where the vodka still is.
I wonder what GSs reaction is to watching playback of the video and seeing how close some of the missiles that he did not see, came to nailing him?
