On this channel we like to do a lot of dogfighting most videos are some sort of dogfight between 2 different aircraft as we explore their different capabilities. From time to time I like to dabble in Virtual Reality, I think VR is a great new technology and I love to show that stuff off for the channel from time to time.
If you enjoy war thunder or Microsoft flight simulator 2020 or even dogfighting in Battlefield 2042, consider getting yourself into Digital Combat Simulator by Eagle Dynamics, the Combat side of Aviation with the BVR and Dogfights really provides a different and interesting perspective on aviation. You can fly all kinds of combat aircraft including the F-16, F-15, F-14, JF-17, Su-27, Mig-29, Mirage and the F-18 Hornet along with many other aircraft and helicopters like the Ka-50 and Mi-8. - Ігри

Thank you guys for watching and if you have any ideas for future videos please put them in the comment section below and they might just end up in the pipeline, thanks again, much Love.
A-10 vs Apache
Another 'Two Morons,' but you're trying to shoot down a SU-57 in a Huey
Day 13 asking for F-22 vs 10 MiG 21
The F-16 cockpit looks so scenic compared with other fighters. Nothing obscuring the view, just clean "glass" and a compact display.
Only f35 has a better view then f16
@@xinyuxie5128are you referring to the hmd with 360 degree view? Seeing a virtual image isn’t very scenic
f22s also have that clean glass cockpit, nothing but the HUD. f35s though still have a line obstructing the view
@@xinyuxie5128 Nope. F-35 has a canopy bow inside the glass cockpit.
The Block 70 Vipers are extra lethal
4:08 "everything still seems fine" gave me the yellow dog on fire vibe
lmao, I thought the same thing!
Classic SW
Another classic ending "There's no way that missle.." BOOM KIA. I think you're just jinxing yourself now.
I'm 99.99% sure he's talking over footage he's already played.
Famous last words!!!
The tac view at the end showed he had indeed defeated "that" missile, the problem was they had launched another missile, while he was defending the first, that was inescapably. It was that second missile that got him.
@@AB-jp2ebYour own fault for reading the comments before finishing the video. Yall will never learn will ya?
At least it was "Off like a light switch"... no fade, just black.
This was an epic intro. Really makes you think, no matter how much training and experience a pilot has, there is nothing that can prepare you for seeing the carnage of fellow servicemen. Think about what would be going through your head as you were trying to get airborne through that. It's crazy to think about.
My thought was these too! How long you should follow the procedures in the situations like this? Could it cause more problem if you try to take off from the opposite side of the runway and potentially frontal crash with your buddies just because you (as per a future investigation of the incident probably will suppose) "panicked" and didn't follow the procedures that made for your safety (of course we know in this case it was the best decision, but you know how it works...)?
The most probable thing that will go through your head in a moment like that is shrapnel from the nearest explosion...😲
Fear, and anger strong enough to overtake the fear..
I’m a stagehand, not a pilot. But the first rule of the first day of install, is: don’t say “it’s going well.” You say that before quitting time, you’re buying lunch for the whole crew.
And brother, you bought… well.
Brilliant video as ever. Keep being you.
He didn't buy lunch.
He bought the farm!
Im not good at english, but could you please explain why you said "bought"? Why not "fought"? Maybe I didn't understand something...
@@playingdoge7407 It means he bought lunch for everyone
1) there is an expression in english "he bought it" it means " he died." But in the first case the situation was that he had to buy lunch for the whole crew because something went wrong. Perhaps he made a bet and lost or to make up for something that went bad - and so he had to buy lunch for everyone. The last time he says "you bought ... well" means then a few things but essentially " you died ... well."@@playingdoge7407
No it means he bought the farm.
Love the picture in picture of the radar. We can actually see how he's assessing the situation. Nice addition.
This would be the first few chapters of the Clancy book. Before the mole has been discovered in the US Government, but after the protagonist has to deal with local law enforcement.
Like Rambo...
I'm pretty sure I read this book back in the 90s.
"okay everything still seems fine" - surrounded by FIRE!
Heck of an exit. If there were explosions all around the base as I'm taxiing out, I might look for a long stretch of taxiway and do a Tom Cruise. Patriots running out of missiles is an argument for air-defense lasers...
Really appreciated the inset of the RWR. It's usually tough to see what you're referring to with radar and RWR so that was fantastic and I hope you're able to continue in the future
the second RWR missile notification that you got while you were defending indicated that there was a new lock not the previous missile, I knew it was the second one who went pitbull on you shortly before getting KIA 🤣🤣
That end was a great example of what you've talked about before. If you get out numbered, the enemy can keep pushing you, keep you defensive until they run you down and take you out.
The way that the camera shakes with the explosive shockwaves is really cool.
That Ending! Dam, made me giggle so hard.
It's never the missile you were actively defeating that gets you is it. When the fight gets to this size and magnitude, there's always another, faster missile, that you haven't detected yet.
I really like how you showed the radar screen close up in the top left of the video. I’ve always tried to zoom in on that so you enlarging it is very helpful.
Another great mission video from G/S. You are a massive assett to DCS. The video's you produce obviously take much time and effort and you gotta' fly the jet. 11 outta' 10 !!
I finally started DCS today and the learning curve seems steep but manageable. Having fun in the f18!
Zooming into the HSI to show what you were doing is awesome help. Thanks! I don't know what I was looking at though haha~
F16s are so clean looking.
@ 3:01, Growling Sidewinder : "nah I'm good Bro...I'm gonna go right and see if the runway is still good that way" had me laughing so hard I startled my kids...🤣
Man... I've been cold for 20 minutes there's no way...
🤯
And that was a prime example of being inside the MAR. Great video as always!
I love these kinds of scrambled more pls!!!❤
Love the quilt tac view at the end. Hope to see this as a regular thing
Tac-view was the cherry on top. Great video 👍🏼
When I was a kid I saw these F16s that were in the Sioux City Fighter wing until they went to an Air Fueling Wing later on. To this day I remember seeing them take off in pairs when I was there on field trip and that one day is the reason I am obsessed with fighter jets.
Ah, yes, The Sioux City Bats, previously designated as the 185th Fighter Wing, of the Iowa Air Guard.
16:02. Second famous last words moment of the year.
Thankfully none of those cruise missiles were tipped with a nuke and those GLCM launchers didn't have an S-400 with them.
I think a taxiway takeoff would have been much more efficient.
One thing I noticed, when you dropped your tanks you didn't change your profile to Cat I to match (master caution came on and didn't go out for rest of the duration). I don't think it would have really saved you in this scenario, but if you had been caught in a rate/radius fight you're handicapped by the FLCS not allowing you to pull the full amount of G's possible for the lighter weight.
imagine you took a missile on your plane at the beginning, end of the video lmao
I thought the same, it would have been hilarious
That would be a great April Fools video.
The close up on the data link and radar is a good help. Thanks for adding that. Great job editing
2:56 THAT WAS FUNNY "HUMMMM NO TX"
Just out of curiousity, isnt the goal of a scramble to get into the air fast? In that situation, wouldnt be more prudent to get into the air via the taxiway if it would get you up faster?
One of your missile scenario's showed the complexity of what the AIM120 do! Thanks.
I knew as soon as you said you were doing well with less that a minute and half you would going down soon! The image at the end showing two missiles trying to kill you was interesting!
Yessir. We go first to da viper. Dodge this.
I really like your mission videos btw. Nice work!
I’d love to see growling do more EF typhoon content (RAF).
That missile hit caught me off guard 😂
Very cool episode! Love the taxi/takeoff under fire.
16:00 "...there's no way that missile..." Classic SW
Phenomenal opening and great mission overall!
Another great video. The PnP of the Data link was very helpful! Thank you for that.
Man that was an epic intro with how intense that scramble was. another great video GS really goes to show at the end how much pressure was really ramped up when it was just you left. Love it man. Really can't wait to get my hands on a flight control setup to give dcs a go myself soon
maybe F15C vs F15E? I'd love to see just how different they play
Awesome video!! Really liked how you started it out being under attack.
Why not take off on the taxi way looks like there's a lot of room
Same question
At first I thought the same thing, though the taxi way might be obstructed with shrapnels, other vehicles, people and other stuff that 100% you won't find on the runway
Exactly: I'd be throwing caution to the wind and doing whatever I needed to do to get airborne. Procedure would expeditiously go sailing out the window.🤣
Missiles coming in during taxi with The Bros were Epic!
I've enjoyed this. The preview at the end is a very helpful addition to the video. Thank you!
Wow, those first 6 minutes were as tense as any dogfight you've been in! It's interesting seeing a coordinated attack from the ground end. Most videos you are the one doing the attacking so it's a unique perspective to be in the midst of missile rain while you try to scramble.
Edit: Hahaha, "There's no way..." *KABOOM! Hubris seeking missiles strike again 😆😂😆
Fantastic video!.....love how you enlarge the HUD for us newbies ^^ thx
Push come to shove you can take off on a taxi way. Same premise of some countries training and using 2 1/2 mile stretches of road for air strips. 👍
love watching your videos! i started doing dcs content on my channel because of the f22 vs p51 now im addicted and its great!
you're cranking out these jump scare videos, I love it!
16:00 from this moment, I knew it was gonna go south
Another fantastic scenario mission! This give a totally different vibe from all of your other videos, please continue. i guess that I've gotten a third set of "famous last words" from you XD
Excellent stuff! (Major Battlestar Galactica vibes - we need to get into the fight!)
"There's no way that missi...."
*Cuts to black*
I guess you got the preferred treatment. 😂
4:09 yeah, everything is totally fine)
Dude, this is one of your best videos yet! Felt like I was watching one of @FixedIT videos, but you’re actually flying the mission.
The front shot of the viper, behind the fire is a sweet shot
Dammit ... I *always* jump. Know it's coming, jump anyway.
This battle actually looks dope AF. More content like this please
Great vid! Do you ever share the miz or mission files for these? The F16 training mission you shared awhile back is still something I go back to, esp if I get busy and have to brush up.
I wish I had a dollar for every time there's an unexpected (for GS, anyway) "BANG" followed by a 'KIA screen' whenever GS says something like "There's no way..." 😂
Famous last words: "There is no way the missile is still on me." Thanks for you videos. I startet playing DCS now and it's a lot of fun, and drives me crazy from time to time. Greetings from germany.
I like when you use the tactical map.
Great video!
these type of videos are the best, cinematic!
"There's no way that missile....." *Bang*
Yeah got to love the viper!
Reminds me of when I worked in the EOC at Kunsan exercising this exact same scenario.
That was the best yet! Scary!
The was a great intro and scenario. Best vid you've produced in a while.
Your recent pre-Killed In Action comments are reminiscent of General John Sedgwick who famously said “They couldn't hit an elephant at this distance…” just before being killed by a marksman during the American Civil War! Superb video as ever GS - great camera work and edge-of-the-seat action!
To be fair.
GS is not an elephant.
LOL, when that klaxon horn is sounding, that means get your butt in the air, not enjoy the view!
Holy crap I literally jumped in my chair when that thing hit you. Great flying though! Very tense action
I'm beginning to think you like saying "oh, that missile is gone" knowing it's still back there, just for comedic effect. Didn't expect two of 'em, did ya? 😆
That's the second video I've jumped out of my seat after you thought you were out of the storm. You're not fooling me next time GS. Missile fur balls are just friggin' unpredictable. Amazing video as always sir!
That was the spiciest take off scenario in the history of EVER! 🙌
I was waiting for the taxiway takeoff. 😂
You narrate “scramble the F-16s!” into basic airbus “We’re climbing to 30,000 ft aahhh, it’ll be a nice smooth flight…”
…. and now we see why some people think V/STOL fighters are a good idea.
Plus dispersion.
"Everything is going well" seems to be GS's favorite last words.
This reminds me of Maverick and Rooster taking off from the bombarded runway alone, except this is in an F16 with other buddies in the air.
Been watching you for ages but only just now notice DCS's S300 get hotlaunched, funny detail considering the sim models some missiles dropping from planes before engine ignition
Great video!
damn…. i literally felt that intensity in a beginning…. i really enjoyed this video
One of your best posts yet!
Congrats on the affiliation!! 😁😁
That instant cut made me jump.
I got way too wrapped up in this one. Scary to think about this happening for real.
Good to see GS back in the Viper
" got'em again, didn't we Josey?" hahaha BooM !
Love the prediction just near the end of the vid. Ooops! You were lucky to get in the air at all!
I wonder if you could do a video that explains all the noises (beeps, bloops, etc.) you hear in the cockpit during battle.
A valiant effort.
I really loved this video Mr Growling.
Been binge watching these videos like GOT these last few days GS, keep it up. As an odd request would love to see MIrage 3s or A4s vs Harriers as in the Malvinas war, historical duels in general would be really interesting
I generally get a higher PK throwing rocks at incoming missiles than using the Patriot missile system. But it does look pretty cool at airshows and stuff.
This is one of those very rare occasions where I think it would be acceptable to take off from the taxiway
ALWAYS GREAT CONTENT! REALLY ENJOY TO WATCH👍👍
"I've been cold for like 20 minutes, there's no way that missile...."
Classic GS death...
I wonder if the pilot that shot that last missile said, "Hold this, my dude" in Russian?
“возьми это, мой мальчик”
Really love these kinds of videos! Please continue doing these! Could you perhaps do a F-22 interception over NATO airspace or something similar?
