It is going to be, in theory, the same. Grinding it. Just not at a watering hole, but in a feed or rest zone (or maybe a combo of both). Which, I think is a nice change of pace, and definitely a bit more challenging. And there's a bunch of furs to get so lots to do for sure. But, at the end of the day, it's still just the repetitive, run through your zones, grinding. (And I'm ok with that!). Just finding those need zones, with all the land to cover, is what's going to be a bitch!
Unfortunately you’re technically still going to have to grind for it but either do feed or rest zone. You can hunt casually but will take time as JB said there are no initial GO spawns
I still wish we had a further distance to spot animals.. like 600-800 yards would be so much better and alot more realistic to hunt tahr from that distance..
I understand why you don’t like grinding but ew said that grinding is not cheating or an exploit and Jaxy kind of said grinding was an intended feature and as of maybe up to a year or two ago you can’t get an initial G1 spawn anymore
So just saying you don’t half to grind but you’re not going to get any G1s unless one spawns off of one you shoot while hunting the species which would be extremely rare or you grind for it
So there’s no shame in grinding
I've never bothered grinding anything since I began playing this game 4 years ago, and I still don't have a Great One. To me, grinding is not hunting, it's working the programming algorithms and is why I no longer follow any of the grinding content creators. If I ever get a great one, cool, if I don't, also cool.

Still gonna have to grind so you’ll still have to work for it it’s not gonna be any easier. Most likely gonna have to grind feed and rest zones
In my opinion the great one grinds take the excitement out of hunting and I eventually get burned out
