I did one on my 1.9D (2000) Fiat Punto and it just rested on the spring the pressure pushes the diaphragm up so it equalises. I thought it was the cause of oil in my intake manifold but turns out it was the EGR pipe on the intake side and oily soot was dripping through the screw at the front of the intake manifold (combined intake and EGR manifold right next to one another) It's a non Turbo though so not sure on the oil by the turbo on yours.
@@sleepycatpictures1176 Wondering if it's the oil seals on the turbo leaking oil? You'd normally see oil in the intake manifold or piping going from the manifold to the air box though. Your PCV diaphragm looked quite clean so it was doing its job. Strange one.
@@vincentgranville964 Probably. This is not one of the best kept 3008's. These turbo's fail when the little oil strainers in the pipes clog up. In this car the little filters have been removed. It probably is the seals.
hi Derek I hope you are ok mate , I thought I would contact you as you have a couple of 1.4 tdci engines I have a load of bits i bought for my 207 1.4hdi but never fitted I have injector seals inlet manifold o rings heater plugs and turbo gaskets I would be happy to send them to you if they are any use let me know I dont want anything for them and would be happy to send them to you to help the channel regards Stuart
Blimey, isn't that always the way! Old Stinky needs its injectors doing so I buy all the stuff in and then some free stuff comes along!! You are a star Stuart! Are you local to Leeds? If so I'll pop over to save postage. I'm in Wakefield next Sunday and Somerset two weeks after if that's any good!

So it just sits in loose? I thought it pushed down into the lip... Did this make any difference.?
i checked the car a month ago and would say, no, oil is still coming from the turbo area.

Interesting, however changing the diaphragm has made no difference. Still oily.
