Just figured out how to find this, lolol :) Back in the day, I was living in my car in California, I was in a bad headspace. I saw them setting up on the Boardwalk by the Pier, I was just watching but Samuel said hello and made some small talk, found out I hadnt eaten in a couple days. Their family fed me, I stayed to listen to the set.. It was so positive and upbeat I went to the VA, got help with my busted mental processes. Im still here and still rocking, since 1964 baby. Man, so much has changed with Liliac since this cover, most notably the bass changing hands from Melody to Ethan. They just put out a fantastic cover if Lita Ford and Ozzy Osbourne's duet, "If I Close My Eyes Forever," but yeah, this channel needs some of their originals. "Nothing," "Dear Father," "We Are the Children," and "Mystery" are all good with "Sail Away" being their beautiful power ballad.
You know . . . you haven't watched The Warning yet. That feels like a sin from someone calling himself Mr. Rock N Roll. They're three sisters from Mexico, currently aged 17, 20, and 22, but they've been creating top-notch hard rock for years. They just released an EP called _Mayday_ where every song is greatness. I don't know if you read comments, but if you do, look for the videos for "Disciple," "Evolve," and "Choke" or the live, in studio versions of "Animosity" and Z." The sixth song on the EP, "Martirio," has a video, but it's not a song I'd recommend as an intro to the Villarreal sisters. You've been warned!
They live in Douglasville now and they will be at the masquerade theater with stryper in May

Since you have done "Holy Diver" and "The Last In Line" then you should also do "Rainbow In The Dark" that's the cover that got me hooked.
I stumbled onto this band a year or so ago with their Holy Diver cover, and I’ve been following them since.

Great reaction Liliac lives in Georgia they also filmed some of there originals in Georgia Mystery and Dear Father and one of the best originals was filmed Mars live in Cummings Georgia.

Great to see you back reacting to Liliac been a while last time you reacted to "The Last In Line" you have missed so much since then. I reccommend you check out there original song "Mars" live from Cummings GA 2019. Maybe rotate between covers and originals. They did just drop a new cover a few days ago of the song by Lita Ford and Ozzy "Close My Eyes Forever" it's Phenomenal.
Their original song "Dear Farther" dropped not that long ago either.

The song Mars is their original and live in 2019 in Georgia starts out with lead guitar solo. A must to see. Shows the live talent!!!

Love these kids! They are AWESOME!!!!!!!!!! Our band has been playing for 30 years since high school and we only dream about being this good. Melody has the voice! Still cannot believe that voice comes from that body, awesome. Samuel is FIRE! My man on the bass is just so cool and Justin is so good to be so young. As a drummer myself, I love Abigail, she owns that drum set. These guys are fun. Rock N Roll has a future.

This is a cover. This is a good cover. This is an outstanding fantastic cover. But it is a cover...Take yourself a favour and listen to "The Warnings" version together with Alicia Cara, they made this song completely their own - they made it a version NOT a cover.
As much as you would like to think differently. The Warning's Enter Sandman is still a cover. They are not the original artist of the song therefore that makes it a cover.
@@jonathanwatson5818 Yes, I understand. You are right - it is not their song, BUT: They took the song and rearranged it completely. Most bands want covers to be as close to the original as possible - "The Warning" is different. You still recognize the original, but at the same time their cover sounds so new, strange...and that makes it so outstanding. I am a Metallica fan since the early 80s and I never thought that an epic song like "Enter Sandman" could be played better than Metallica did. Meanwhile I am not so sure anymore...

@@Malibonus I guess but as a Metallica fan myself for the last 26 years I prefer Liliac's cover because I prefer a cover close to the original but adding your own stuff to it.
@@jonathanwatson5818 Different taste, no problem:-) If a cover comes close, I prefer the original. I am always curious how a band (if they are creative) look at an original and try to understand the core of it, but build their ideas (how-it-should-be-done) around it.
@@Malibonus, It should be said that Lars Ulrich actually said to all band participating on the Blacklist album: *Pick a song. Do what you want with it. If you want to play it backwards or turn it on its head, we respect and appreciate it.*
Despite being the only band who did what he said, they only had one week to write the song and record it ( _together with a Canadian pop singer_ ) and send the result to Metallica, they managed despite of Covid and that Alessia Cara could not meet with them. They recorded her voice and mixed her in on their video.
What I like about it is that they turned it into a creepy lullaby that it was first intended to be and they ended with the beginning of the original song as a tribute of it.
The song should not be called a cover but rather their *interpretation* of the song. Covers are more like a tribute of a song and many feel they are useless unless you want to be known as a "Cover band".
