There were not keys in Master of Puppets either but Liliac did it anyway and you can hear it clearly. You should check that out. The guitar squeals from Sam in this song were not in the original as well, that was his contribution to changing it up a bit while still staying true to the feel/heart of the original.
For Justin on the keys, might do the "We will Rock You/We are the Champions" live video. "We are the Champions" is a piano driven song and he does an awesome job but very little video time. If you scan thru camera phone footage, the keyboard does come thru more.
Welcome back HB great to see you. This is the first song I heard them do and when Melody started singing I was fanged. Thanks for the great reaction stay safe. Fang4LIFE!!
I have learned how to pic out Justin playing keys in song you can really hear him in "We Are The Children" Master Of Puppets" "Dear Father". In this video I could really hear him more im the second half you have to listen do it a couple of times.
Actually I stand corrected i can hear Justin playing keys right when the song start you just have to listen i can hear it quite well try listening to the song one or 2 more times
Good Reaction!! You like the older Videos from Liliac? and you like Ethan on the guitar? then you have to check out "the trooper"!!! Ehtan has a realy good Solo in this Video. So ethan is not only a realy good Base Player, he can shred his guitar...... Greatings from Germany..
Long time no Liliac. Justin plays heavier keys than most keyboardists I've come to realize. You just need to develop an ear for his heavier keyboard style. You can hear him clearly in We are the Children, Dear Father, Master of Puppets, Mars, and many others. You can hear him very clearly in Rainbow in the Dark cover because he switched up his style for that one and the keys come through loud and clear.
@@HistoryBuff Do We are the Children next and try to pick out his key parts and you will see what I mean, I picked it out about 3-5 times during that one, no doubt he was playing the whole time though. That should be a fun excercise for you to see his style and why some people have a difficult time hearing him. Take this song for example, I can hear the keys and they are just below the guitar but heavy so this being an already heavy song it blends in very well.
That was strange with Justin's key's getting stuck. I always thought that Justin was still progressing on keys early on, so the keys in the mix were brought down, along with the fact that theirs no keys in the song, so his parts were to add some fullness and give him a part to play as he matured. Now he's most definitely more up front. The songs they play don't really call for any solos by the keyboardist either. Abby, I love how she plays and keeps the heart of the song going steady with dominance, and so much enthusiasm. Same with Abby as far as advancing her talent today. I thought she was already excellent back then, but she keeps getting more advance. She's got so much heart and style. To me, most times with Rock n Roll, which I consider this song to be more than metal, keeping it simple is best as far as the backbone of the song goes. Other rock genres like progressive, alternative, etc I guess people want to hear more complex things going on. But that's how I grew up. My circle of friends from the 70's always liked classic rock bands like Mountain, Kiss, AC/DC, Cream, Stones etc. Mostly simple rock songs that got your attention with the guitarist, the melody and beat of the song. The 80 brought more complexities to rock songs which were a step up in abilities, especially for some of the great guitarist of the 80's. The Keys I thought were much more dominant in the 70's, with bands like YES, ELP, The WHO, Genesis, etc. Btw, as a guitarist, Sams solo in this song was one of his easiest ones he's done in general. Very basic for an 80's song, IMO. He played a lot of classic guitar licks that good guitarist learn and put together tastefully done by Metallica. Sam did an excellent job of duplicating that solo, as he does with every solo he's played. Guy is a master at his craft. This song got me hooked on Liliac the 1st time I heard them 3 years ago. Them and another great young rock singer has brought me and many others back to paying attention to what's new.
As always, great observations Bert! Speaking if whats new, have you checked out some of the other bands on my channel? Unleash the archers, Brothers of metal, etc? I can't remember if you moved around in the comments or just strictly stayed with Liliac.
This one and crazy train were the 1st 2 videos of theirs I saw and have been hooked ever since. Lots of hair in this one.and the trailer for close my eyes looks great the other singer mercury cross has a awesome voice. Justin's keyboard work in wecwill rock you we are the champion from Cummings 2019 tribute to Freddy mercury shows his progress on the keys and his solo in sailaway are awesome. Melodia donated her hair for cancer survivors for whigs.
If you want to see the hidden skills of Ethan, which do not get highlighted very often, watch the official video of "The Trooper". Ethan has a prominent role in middle, with his own well done solo. This is before he switched to Bass. He was still very young, so it is impressive. I found another comment similar to this later on and gave it a thumbs up.
All of them have and continue to become super good musicians!!! I wish Melody would grace us with some of her playing bass and Ethan getting back to adding more rhythm guitar! Don't get me wrong, I really love everything they do! But a little change up is good once in a while! But MAN they've come a long way since this song!!!!! BIGFANG4LIFE HERE!!!! ✌️
Welcome back for another fangtastic reaction , Justin is an integral part of Liliac and plays on all their songs whether the original had a keyboard or not you don't always hear him distinctly but he's there check out their cover of Metallicas MASTER OF PUPPETS which again didn't have keys and listen to him take the place of the second guitar he's phenomenal or go listen to their live gig in Cummings Georgia and listen to him play Freddy Mercury's piano part in their tribute cover of Queens WE ARE THE CHAMPIONS he once again is featured although he's let down by bad lighting and camera work . I suggest you react to THE TROOPER by Iron Maiden next to see Ethan kill it on the guitar and then check out their original DEAR FATHER to see and hear Abigail play the skins off her drums especially the double kick drums .Fang4life RORH
Master of puppets and last in line for me are their best covers. As for they keys in this song. No Metallica didn't use keys but Liliac is. Kinda like when Dream Theater covered Maiden and Metallica, they add keys to it, cause they have a great keyboardist. Same here.
Always good to see you doing Liliac. I like yer other stuff as well but Liliac is my fav. I agree with not really being able to tell where Justin is in this song. I can't think of one where he's actually front and center other than maybe the Queen cover. You can hear him more profoundly in their "Master Of Puppets" cover. Adds some great supporting sound to both the drums and guitar at different times throughout the song, sounds great. Metal Maffia reacted to it and said it gave it a video game feel. Other songs such as "Nothing" and "Sail Away" (as you mentioned) he has the opening of the songs. You'll prob hear from more than just me but yeah, the upcoming video is a cover of Lita Ford and Ozzy's "Close My Eyes Forever". Enjoy! Fang4Life! RO&RH! 🤘😎🤘
@@HistoryBuff not in the original, but in Liliac's version there are. They take the place of one of the guitars. They also did this for their cover of Master of Puppets.
Funny you ask. We started homeschooling and for music, we were talking about getting a guitar/amp setup along with the drums. Unfortunately Abigail is wanting to go more the guitar route. My son on the other hand shows great promise. Go back through my recent videos and I have one of him playing we will rock you. Super simple, but his perfect timing and feel of the beat have me excited!
@@HistoryBuff yeah full respect t what y do actually like it just think that ya complicate trying t find fault and comparison to others no insult intended
Thanks for upgrading from a drive-by troll comment to something more thought provoking and discussion oriented. I disagree though. When you cover a song (especially a monster like Enter Sandman), you open yourself up to mass comparisons. If they don't want that, they need to spend more time writing more original songs. They were a phenom as children but as they become adults, they are quickly going to need to become more relevant so they don't end up being a county fair cover band
Thanks for the awesome Reaction!

React to their cover of Queen We Will Rock You/ We Are The Champions. Justin nails those keys.
I have learned how to pic out Justin playing keys in song you can really hear him in "We Are The Children" Master Of Puppets" "Dear Father". In this video I could really hear him more im the second half you have to listen do it a couple of times.
There are some Live videos of Ethan and Justin doing The Mandalorian. That's about as close as you'll get to Justin doing a keyboard solo to date.
Their queen cover live you can't really see Justin very well, but "we are the champions" he plays beautifully!
Actually I stand corrected i can hear Justin playing keys right when the song start you just have to listen i can hear it quite well try listening to the song one or 2 more times
Liliac- The Last in Line is awesome.
If you really want to hear the keys go to a live show and go to his side of the stage ! He rocks ! 🤘

Songs where Justin is prominent. The last in line, dear father, Sail away, nothing.
We are the Children as well if you know what to look for.

The keys in this one is just below the guitar, it's heavy keys and this being an already heavy song it blends in very well, almost too well.
In Mars he does the interlude very nicely, giving the atmosphere a haunting vibe while Melodia is singing a spacey part.
They all cut their hair except for Abigail and even Papa Liliac got a haircut, then they donated it to cancer survivors.
Justin keyboard is put fill sounds when there isn't any keyboards in the song
Listen master of Puppets....justin has a huge role in that one!
What do you mean what does Justin do? He plays the keys. I can hear him just fine.
So you're telling me there's "keys" in enter sandman?
@@HistoryBuff not in the original, but in Liliac's version there are. They take the place of one of the guitars. They also did this for their cover of Master of Puppets.
