Tensions between Taiwan and China flared again as Taiwan’s President Lai Ching-te reaffirmed the island's sovereignty, calling for peace but vowing to defend its independence. Lai's National Day speech emphasized that Taiwan will not submit to Beijing's claims, while Chinese warplanes continue to encircle the island. Meanwhile, Taiwan's coast guard seized a Chinese fishing boat near Qimei Island, detaining nine crew members after a high-seas chase. Did you know, Taiwan represents China in the UNSC? Meaning the US clearly recognizes Taiwan as a representative of China.

The reality is, Taiwan recognizes China as its own and vice versa. Same as Mongolia recognizes both of them as its own. That’s why they signed the one China law. And that is also why the full name of Taiwan is republic of China.
While the full name of China is people’s republic of China.
