    For all non-native-English speakers who also thought "wtf, leave our sweet dolphins(mammals) alone" this guy is actually speaking about the 'dolphin fish' which is not the mammal. I still encourage everyone here to watch the docu 'seaspiracy' though. May you all be Blessed.

      At first I thought they were speaking about the Bottle-nosed Dolphin too ! It's later on that I found out what the fish looked like. Have a Nice Day.

    I’ve been crushing your videos for weeks, and they are the best by far! I really like how you said you started with a 19 foot boat. I waiting for this ocean to lay down out of cape Canaveral, so I can get out there in my 20 foot wellcraft! Thanks again!

    Hey capt great informative video love it. I'm with you on everything you say. One thing I learned from my dad when I was a junior ten yr old he always said when you see a boat catching schoolers don't run in there where they are stay wide and circle them and look to hook the monster dolphin and many times we hook up maybe add that in to seminar ty JT

    Thank you for all the informatiion! I am learning so much from these seminars! What would you recommend someone do for Mahi from a Kayak? I can only go probably 3.5 MPH at the highest speed, and probably can't go any further than 2-3 miles out. What can I do for the best chance? I am in Destin, FL (Gulf of mexico).

    • @FloridaSportFishing
      @FloridaSportFishing  6 років тому +1

      Hmmm, not to many dolphin that shallow off Destin but certainly a possibility. Try slow trolling a couple of live baits around. Go with 40 lb. flour leader, I like Diamond Presentation. - Capt Mike

    What are your thoughts on using something like a mullet strip on the shotgun?

    • @FloridaSportFishing
      @FloridaSportFishing  6 років тому +1

      Certainly would work but I prefer the shotgun bait be a lure, just set it and forget it until it starts screaming! - Capt Mike

    what about running straight mono only on the real, running 80lb line would i want to change it to 80lb braid with about 15 ft mono?

    • @FloridaSportFishing
      @FloridaSportFishing  6 років тому +1

      80 lb is too heavy for dolphin. Fish 30 lb, you'll catch more and have more fun doing it. Plus you can fish smaller, lighter tackle.If you fish braid, yes, add a top shot of mono, when trolling at least 50-100 ft. - Capt Mike

    . Where do you buy your bait to chunk

      25 lb slabs at local bait shops, or better yet a few five gallons buckets of fresh bait caught in castle at local beaches, inlets, piers, etc
