@@TheGizmoGarage Electronics have always been more expensive here in Canada due to regulations and our dollar being weaker then the U.S dollar
It was a mistake clicking on these videos and hearing the new prices these are going for. lol Sadly my patience didn't fully win in the end so I settled for getting this same card at $880. Decently discounted from the ridiculous original price of $980, but still.
Imagine when I found out 7900XTX was on sale during Amazon Prime Day for $800...
@@TheGizmoGarage Ugh, goddamnit man. Oh well. Sadly I was put in a position where my old gpu died after 8 years of using it, so I had nothing while I was waiting for the prices to go down. My patience unfortunately didn't last as long as I'd like.
Got it for $699 today 🫡
You do this card a disservice by putting it into that old case. Spend the $60-80 on a decent modern case, drop the ancient hard drives and you will be good to go.
I can't afford to drop ancient hard drive because I have massive amount of video/raw files and can't afford to go full SSD. Looked at modern case, they all ugly :( Looks are also important lol
That extra vent at side is intake or out?
Any vents not on bottom of fan is exhaust so yes its exhausting part of hot air into case
What mb and CPU are you using wirh it?
old 3950X and an old ASUS X570 motherboard
how long is it ?? I want to put it in ceres case with a 420mm cpu front radiator
ua-cam.com/video/o0mHfkmKAIc/v-deo.html 13.75" (349mm)
The 1080 Tai 👍
How is the coil whine?
When the fan is blasting during gaming you can barely hear anything else… my unit had no whine though
is ur psu 750 w enough?
Yes, the system is pulling 450-500w max according to my power meter.
Do you think that I can use this card on an 650w psu Msi
I have a reference 7900xtx at stock settings it pulls 350watts or lower this is also at 1440 and 4k. Just don't get too crazy on the power limit I feel like you will be fine. Also the 7900xt is more efficient and is rated for 300 watts.
Doable, on full load I'm pulling 450w with a Ryzen 3950X
I have this card and the sapphire 7900xtx. Trust me even with the smaller 7900xt you absolutely need these brackets. These cards are dumb lol
compared to 1080 ti wym the 7900 is high end card
Absolutely!
got the 7900 xtx . its only 100.00 more I dont even know why they even made the 7900 xt . should of been the 7800 xt
Great price, didn't get 7900xtx due to power consumption
its crazy how much this pc build looks is like my computer minus the GPU
Good mind thinks alike ;)
tee eye not tie
is a 850 power supply enough
Yes. It should be enough. I am currently using this with 750W.
@@Kuhka bro a lot of power supply on Amazon are expensive AF now I hardly see any
Try this? amzn.to/3qfhJtb
@@Kuhka any issues so far with 750w? I have a msi a750gf psu, but some places recommend at least 800w for 7900xt OC.
@@DouglasStreck Hi. No issues. I didn't overclock it, using default. (Exact model of mine: Corsair CX750F)
I will also buy an xfx 7900 xt
Not a bad choice!
Just ordered one for £660 here in the uk 😊
Where ?
Good price was a rip off at $800
@@spike178ebuyer, I was able to cope one aswell
That is a support bracket that you did not properly install... You shouldn't need the help of your hard drive bay to hold up your gpu... fuckin hell this hurt to watch. I pray for that card! Also, you're losing 80% of the performance you COULD get out of that card because of the very very slow and old CPU you're using.
7900xt is the same raw performance as a 3090ti just to let anyone know
You are correct sir, no need to upgrade if having 3090ti, maybe small upgrade to 7900xtx
Only $800 😂
Worth £500 max.
T I NOT TAI
Okay!
very bad case for air flow..jesus bro..get another one now !:))))
Believe or not, my 1080 ti lived in this case for over 6 years and not a single complain... I did open up additional vents for airflow, so far it's working fine with temp below 57C
