Just took out my NK180 for the first time last night. Still some tweaking to do but this video definitely helps! I’ll be backing out the screws a bit and picking up some silicone.
Hey Chad, I love watching your videos. I have the ss127 with a bow mount trolling motor and stern mounted power pole. I'd like to add a rudder. Do you think that new ketch plate would work well to mount both the power pole and rudder to the stern of my kayak? Thanks!
Chad, another great video!! In a previous video, you stated that you wanted to do more river fishing this year. I noticed that you don’t have a rock guard on the torqeedo in this video. I would assume that it is important to have one for shallow river fishing. Do you agree as I am strongly considering getting a torqeedo. Thanks for all that you do.
doing my cheap yak i used 3/8 sprinkler tubing , 1/2 grommet 3/8 id , melt tube the same and glue to grommet. then pool cover vinyl coated stainless 1/8 cable , then at foot pedal 1/4 stainless bolt with dbl nut and wing nut off old lawnmower handle , drill hole through base of t handle above nut , twist to adjust then lock down with 2nd nut . done deal bought nothing lol . probably dont need grommet but glued and flared it will not pull through over time. works like a champ
Thanks - about to start this myself. I've been considering if it's worth it to also run the reverse/lift lines through the hull as well (similar to how the rudder kit works). Curious if you've ever explored that and/or have any thoughts on it?
Austin and Gene ran their’s through the inside of the hull, I prefer mine to be ran external. I will be doing a video on how I set that up using a YakAttack Anchor Trolley very soon.
Chad great video I love my ss127 it's by far the best kayak on the market hands down my opinion the only problem I'm 5 ft 6 I can barely reach the pedals to steer my motor I wish there was a solution some kind of an extension or something you have any ideas please let me know
The best solution for that would be to use YakAttack 90 Degree mounts and mount the SEALECT steering system to mount them above the existing tracks using the top tracks and then you can make the slider part extend back to where it is closer to you. Hope that makes sense?

Great video! This is a video I’ve been wanting! Not a lot of other UA-cam videos show how to do this quite as well, thank you!
Thanks buddy
Nice tip with the silicone spray, I'll hit my foot pedals with it.
Glad I’m getting the ss127
It’s a solid platform and still one of the best out there.

Great Video, Thanks Chad
Thank you

Yes and I have one for when I fish shallow rivers but I don’t like it installed when I am fishing thick grass, Lilly pads and such.
@@ChadHooverFishing Understood, thank you.
What kind of foot brace's do you use on this kayak?
The BONAFIDE foot braces that come with it

Does this work on the ss107?
Not exactly, you could make it work, but it wouldn’t be as easy and as straight forward.
