Congrats on doing a great job on the o'le girl, she looks so happy you woke her up, wish I had your confidence and skills, I could do so much more to mine.
Great series and good on you guys to bring that piece of history back to life. Those 70s toyota pickups are very very rare. Your friend should finish fixing it up. Thanks again👍👍👍👍
Just saw every part of it, one after the other! Haha I have a 20r 1979, hopefully i’ll do something like that. New sub by de way ✌🏼 greetings from Guatemala 🇬🇹
Had an '80 model with the 20R. "Celica with a cargo bed." Around here, this Gen. of Toyota truck is about extinct. I can't recall the last time I've seen a real SR5 of this era on the road. No idea what one would bring fully restored to OEM....cause they're just not out there.
how much did this all cost you to get it running if you don't mind me asking?, I have one (1978) that I got a year ago and its pretty much the same in boat that when you picked yours up. I really want to over haul it but I wanna make sure I got all the goods to do so haha.
I think the total was about 3 G's for mostly everything. We both had to save up our coin. But this will vary on your machine shop that you choose. Good to hear another one being saved👍
No problem... trying to restore a 1960 544 myself. And from the looks of it, if you had a few more bodies you could build a whole fleet of them. You have some nice parts and when you make a video and say that you posted them I will be the first viewer...😂😂
It's in the about section. But you asked nicely so here it is: I bought my uncle's 1964 Volvo pv544 for restoration. It will be here on the channel one day. Also my family is part Swedish so I figured that's we will call channel. Thanks for asking
Good broo , regards from kuala lumpur ...now 01.55 am, friday 27.08.2021 malaysia time , but dont do to long content untill 7 months , for your project its ok , but for youtube followers of your channel , its too long period , t.q
My father, may God have mercy on him, bought this truck, a model 1977. We call it Hilux in Saudi Arabia, and we still have it.
I love her so much
I'm really suprised how many people from the kingdom of Saudi Arabia view this pickup video. Hold onto that hilux! Dependable and easy to work on!😊
Hi Chris! The process was a joy to watch. Thanks!
Thanks for this our family's first car this same model 20R engine. Would love to see more of these cars restored back to life.
You are a genius! Grate truck. You are the man! Do some more old Toyota trucks, like 1981, my favorite Toyota truck.
Congrats on doing a great job on the o'le girl, she looks so happy you woke her up, wish I had your confidence and skills, I could do so much more to mine.
Thank you. It was very happy to get back on the road!
I watched this through because it brought back old memories of my 1978 Wolverine. And it was yellow also but stood about 6" taller. 👍
Very good potential to make a great channel. Keep them coming. There isn't enough of repair/restore on you tube. At least to us that can relate
