The whole "Take your medicine!" *SLAM* tactic for breaking the charm spell had me rolling! Gotta love the spirit of the dice! Another great episode guys!
Yeah, healing word is good because it’s a bonus action and can be done from a distance. However it’s only 1d4 plus spell casting modifier which lowers the amount it can heal back. That’s probably why they kept having to use it because it doesn’t give that much back. Allegedly, all healing spells are going to be a little bit better in the updated Player’s Handbook coming out in September.
@@ArchAngel_M81 Not allegedly at this point -- they've come out and said it in some of the videos. Heals will be MUCH better. 2d4+ability score bonus for Healing Word at base level, but it scales at double for each spell level it goes up. So Level 1 is 2d4+bonus, Level 2 is 4d4+bonus, level 3 is 6d4+bonus. Cure Wounds does the same -- starts at 2d8+bonus, Level 2 is 4d8+bonus, etc.
Awesome episode. The minis (+scenery) return for a great, tense, boss-fight with interesting mechanics and great and/or entertaining tactics. And then there's the hilarious ad for other minis. 👍
For anyone curious, it looks like [redacted] is using the Ambitious Assassin stat block from the Book of Many Things. Pretty cool design if anyone's looking for a non-magical Tier 1 miniboss!
Late to the party but really enjoying N6. The intros are so damn fun I would love them to do some one shots with a lighter more comedy tone at some point as well.
This was a very intense episode. I loved every minute of it, especially the fight at the end. Also cannot decide if I love more Ben's of Harry's add. Thank you for the episode and wish you all a very lovely day.
I am so happy to be coming along on this wonderful journey! Thank you for everything you all do to bring us these wonderful adventures! I look forward to watching each week! Thank you all! Cheers!
I’m brand new to dnd haven’t played a session yet me and several buddies are going to play and I’m going to DM and I’m in awe and slightly overwhelmed but still excited by how detailed and vast these campaigns are. I plan on using some of premade shorter campaigns and one slightly chunkier if anyone has some recommendations thank you in advance. But I’m also creating my own longer campaigns and I’ve never really done anything like planning my own world and quests. I’ve genuinely never had more fun in my life just planning it. I can’t imagine how much fun it will be to take some of my best friends into my world and see all the they enjoy and the mark they will leave on it.
I watched all before to even understand what I was watching. You are MARVELLOUS GUYS. It is kind of a book with epic music. AENGLISH, British? No matter, I amaze. Thanks. I'll consider become your Patron because you deserve it
There were a number of oopses in this combat. I counted three in about the space of a minute at one point. But the important thing is, they (and we) are entertained.
Wow, didn't think I'd be so engaged with a 2-hour combat encounter! Really tense fight that Harry set up. How much HP must the baddie have? Less of a spoiler, but I really hope Holly is enjoying playing a fighter in these encounters where spells are everywhere but she can't say she hits as consistently with her sword (I even think she forgot about her dagger as a bonus action attack once or twice). Endellion's stats are not terrible but not as stellar compared to I and Kelnyss.
This was so fun and i keep holding my breath then burst into a fit of giggles in between LMAO. Kind of a side note: Would it be inconvenient or applicable that for the minis, you guys use those long things they use in casinos?? to pull and push chips for? but with a kind of pinchy bit to help with picking up, reaching and maneuvering
Kelniss is a wildfire druid, Endellion is a champion fighter, Raidion is an enchantment wizard, I is an arcane trickster rogue, Dolly is a whispers bard
Hey, you guys, you might want to give a mention to say some prayers for Critical Role cast member Sam Riegel as he is currently dealing with health issues right now, specifically trying to get past a threat of tonsil cancer!! Let's please wish him well and hopefully he'll find a way to beat this very unfortunate situation!! Please say some prayers for Sam Riegel in your next session broadcast!! Thank you very much for hearing me out!!
Such an intense episode. Honestly thought Dolly may end up killing everyone. Literally shouting ‘hit her’ at my screen so she could do her check. Glad the party is all okay. RIP to Casper and the others though. The stakes feel even more real. Look forward to next weeks’ Action Surge & the remains eps.
1:32:33 - The technical rule is a character can cast a cantrip as an action, then any spell that costs a bonus action (Cantrip or Leveled Spell). So, most of the time it will be 1 spell per turn, unless someone has the War Caster feat to cast Shocking Grasp as a reaction opportunity attack. However, many are loose with this rule and allow the cantrip to be the bonus action and any leveled spell as the action. 😊
Medea's Diary says that Goff killed a cleric in Pondif (spelling?). Graunauth was killed in Beroun (the city they're in) in a district called The Crest). Not to mention that I, the character not the me, positively identified her as Graunauth's killer using his sense of smell before the fight began. It's a reasonable mistake to make but you definitely got it twisted.
@@MorinehtarTheBlue Ah, I did not hear the location name. Because of that (as well as some items that could have been attributed to Graunauth (like chess)), I thought maybe your sense of smell produced a false positive.
I love the show but this fight was painful so many wasted rounds reading things and checking for potions, they would have won so much faster if they had leaned in for the kill.
Yes, and Hollie pointed that out at one point I think with her suggestion about them playing the combat defensively. But I do love the creativity of this group - some of the ideas they come up with for the sake of variety are so fun!

My appreciation, good sir!
I've gotta say, I really appreciate the recaps at the beginning of each episode.
The Ad read was immaculate 😂
I want to know if it was written by Ben or just someone imitating him.
Perfect comedy. Gods of Reliquiae, how I love this bunch.
Harry is amazing 🤩
I was going to give a thumbs up, but it’s at 69 and I just can’t bring myself to ruin the magic.

That ad was peak Natural Six! WE LOVED IT!!
Thank you so much you absolute Starrs 😏🥰
I appreciate the direct eye contact with Alex
2:14:10 - crying with laughter, I was there, I believed, he had this... 😂
The whole "Take your medicine!" *SLAM* tactic for breaking the charm spell had me rolling! Gotta love the spirit of the dice!
Another great episode guys!
Some of my finest work - Hollie
I don't think I've ever seen so many Healing Word spells cast on a single player in one battle before.

Medea is scary! I love it! I am learning so much through these mechanics. This campaign enraptures me like I am watching a TV show.

Back after watching Endellion's Diary: how could I forget to mention the epic-est of natural 1's in the series so far! Straight down the barrel. 🤣

Innu-Ben-do Starr giving us chaos and we LOVE him for it. 💖

Gutted I'm up to date after binge watching this the last 3 days, now I have to wait for the next episode 😭
Absolutely loved this episode. Heck of a tense boss fight and a hilarious natural 1.

Such stunning minis and environment design! Kudos to the creators 👏🏼
Gonna leave a comment here for the algorithm. This episode was so good! A roller coaster of emotion!
I have never been so excited for a new DnD episode!!!
Let's gooooo
LOL is @1:30 is Alex just happily shaking his fists saying "traauummaaaa" 😂
What a tense episode! Gotta love the second half and the first and the ad and the whole package in general 😅
When Medea had to move away from Dolly wouldn’t Ben and Hollie also get attacks of opportunity , not just the wolf .
Opportunity attacks cannot be provoked by forced movement, so neither of the PC's or the wolf get an attack.
That encounter was fantastic! a lil crazy but fantastic!
They gotta be due for a level up. They need some more health.
I love the background music at 1:02:10, it's so hauntingly beautiful.
Truly the funniest thing this episode was I getting the Comprehend Languages potion
LOVED this episode, sometimes us girls just have to show each other a little tough love! lol

These episodes are getting better and better. Liking the series a lot.
This was incredible
Damn initiative rolls 3 actions from medea in a row was brutal
Possibly the greatest ad read ever
1:33:07 - This would have triggered opportunity attacks from Evandelion and Radian (melee though :(). 😊
Wouldn’t it be from all 4, endellion, radian, dolly and the wolf? That was my first thought the second she walked from between all of them 🤔
There were a number of oopses in this combat. I counted three in about the space of a minute at one point. But the important thing is, they (and we) are entertained.
3:15:12 I’m so glad Kelnys didn’t suggest making tacos here
Also! Wheeeyyyy! Patreon credits! Double bill baby!
I wish from the bottom of my heart I could give a second like, just for the ad read alone😂
I love this episode, it emotionally destroyed me because of Raidion almost going down but overall, I loved every second and can't wait for more!
Just discovered you guys recently and I've caught up after binge watching everything up to now. Great work!
That was epic! Congrats everyone.
Such a fantastic episode! The web is wiiiide ^^
I love how uncomfortable Harry is on the ad-read lol.

Like metal backscratchers even! I've used those, because the little "hands" curled, can grab onto a mini nicely!
We have certainly had this discussion! 😅 We forget how big the table is - Hollie
Or a smaller table or move the whole map closer to the DM? @@NaturalSix
1:33:21 Shouldn’t some of the others have been able to get an attack of opportunity as she moved away from them to get away from dissonant whispers?

Just curious, but which subclass is each character using? How can that be explained please?

1:21:00 when Doug said "I summon Beast", did anyone else wish for a blue furry X-Man to pop into existence?
You must be confused. His Wildfire spirit is Hank 😂.
honey, you cant read 💀💀💀

Why is I fire resistant? Neither UA, Volo's Guide to Monsters nor Monsters of the Multiverse have this as a kobold feature.
Is this a homebrew thing?
I picks up a random potion and drinks it in the episode, resulting in temporary fire resistance.
