Kenny Hakansson (Baby Grandmothers, Mecki Mark Men, Kebnekajse) Interview (8/6/23)

Kenny Hakansson is a Stockholm born Swedish guitarist, not to be confused with another Kenny Hakansson who played bass with a band called the Hellacopters. This Kenny has been a mainstay in the Swedish prog rock arena as far back as the late 60’s as a member of heavy prog band Baby Grandmothers, psychedelic prog band Mecki Mark Men, and 70’s prog folk band Kebnekajse. Mr. Hakansson was also in reggae/rock unit Dag Vag, and formed his own groups Bill’s Boogie Band and Psychedelic Dream. The good news is both Baby Grandmothers and Kebnekajse have reunited and are very much alive, with new album releases that began in the new millennium.
